Where do I even begin???
Generated Artificial Images™ stealing the work of a graphic designer to promote an automated deep frying machine that steals the work of cooks.
This is outside of a restaurant that also has several ghost kitchens, which I don't really have a problem with, when they're run by independent business owners, but I do find it ironic.

Aeropostale (a big profitable company) cheaping out on artwork for their crappy boxer briefs.
I'm posting this while still standing in line at TJ Maxx. Utterly disgusted.

This shit is clearly AI generated, as the guy running the program is a big time dumbass capitalist who thinks AI will somehow save us, but all it's been doing is eliminating jobs with poor replacements of art.
Let's break this "logo" (stretch of the term) down a bit.
First of all, this lumpy head, crooked mouthed, Disney-fied unknown dog breed is the mascot for "D.O.G.E.", because the org was named after the doge meme. Isn't that funny? No? Okay! He doesn't even look like a shiba inu, more like a corgi, or a pomeranian. Who knows if this is a failure of the AI generator, or bad "prompt-engineering" by idiots 🙄
THAT IS NOT DOGE
THIS IS DOGE.
For fuck's sake, you'd think the man-child meme-lord who had the stupid idea to do all this would even have the sense that an unsupervised 13 year old making a reaction meme for 4chan has to use even a similar dog that looked like the dog from the doge meme.
What I find most annoying about this is because this ultra-rich LOSER just totally ruined this meme that before he made this sham of government efficiency, still could be used as slang without people assuming you're a crypto bro who lost their life savings by shorting DogeCoin.
Just think, the amount of human consensus it takes to appreciate a single image, agree with the way it's used and find it funny enough, to reuse it, and continue the trend in how it's used for it to become a MEME.
Then think, how big of a LOSER you have to be to single handedly destroy the adoration people have for that meme so people not only hate the meme, but entirely forget about it and associate everything about it with the stupid thing you did with it? Good lord.
What about the rest??
Two flags! Two! Twice the America!!
The top one has poorly rendered parallel lines for the stripes which is typical of AI generators because it doesn't know how to "draw" something graphic that still has complex shape in space.
That goes for the details of the random gear containing the other flag, which if this was hand drawn, it was just be drawn poorly, which begs the question: which is better, to do something fast and wrong, or more thoroughly and correct? — Efficiency!!!
WTF is up with these stars? Don't even ask why they're not all star shaped, or even symmetrical, because they're AI generated, there is no answer to those questions! That's just what it spit out.
Don't even get me started on the godawful "typography", or lack thereof in this slop.
I won't go into every shitty pixel, but I'll stop at what would be glaringly bad work if done by a human. I guess since an LLM spit this out according to some giggling manchild loser's typed out prompt, that makes it acceptable because it's "technology", right? FOH
As for the "work" D.O.G.E. is actually doing, what TF are you doing with our personal confidential data that you stole, Elon? What are you planning on scamming us for next???

This cafe pushed out the long standing independently owned Greek cafe it set up right next to in the same building, after the landlord added plastic wood panels to the brick building (the grey panels in this photo). Not surprised they'd use fucking AI image slop (not art) to promote their overpriced food slop.

Disgraceful that this sign is in a common area right next to a real comic shop. Absolutely disgusting.
What's ironic is using ripped off genAI images of "comic art" to promote your stupid play about a comic shop. It says that the play isn't even worth that $5 ticket price if they couldn't be bothered to ask a comic artist to draw a poster in exchange for a few free passes. You'd think whoever wrote and produced this would know an artist who'd be willing to at least do them a favor if they had anything to do with comic shops, if they were that strapped for cash to not just, y'know, pay them.

We've all seen this slop by now.
I won't repeat what we've heard about the crappiness of it, as it's been said already. What I'll call out is what this and other recent AI generated ads by Skechers says about them as a company.
It's more than the fact that a multi-billion dollar company declined to pay an illustrator or just buy a cheap stock image, for a campaign that was well thought out, to represent what you'd assume is a competently functioning company....
You should be able to judge a book by its cover if it's designed well. If a book has a bad cover, then maybe it says more about an incompetent publisher than the author.
The lack of direction, lack of any sort of message, and extreme disconnect between the image and the actual shoes they're selling, plus the fact that the shoes on the left side woman don't even look like shoes, or feet, in an ad for shoes, shows there are BIG problems going on at Skechers corporate.
If their marketing meetings can't agree on even a mediocre concept or style for their ad campaigns, then whether or not this was made by a human or an LLM is moot. This ad says that as an organization, they can't make decisions, can't listen to ad agencies or marketing professionals who likely worked hard to show them multiple ideas that they shot down, leaving them with a last resort of "AI is the latest thing, just generate something with that!", and then bicker about the image options until they're left with this monstrosity.
Either that or an ad agency grifted them to think this was the best choice and overcharged them just to have some intern typing out prompts. Neither conclusion says anything good about their company though. Glad I don't own any of their stock.

This is pretty disappointing, especially because the one who created this campaign for the box art is actually a good artist, and I was a big fan of the satanic dog cartoon he created. I don't necessarily have a problem with Liquid Death the drink, but I can't remember ever trying it.
However, the other boxes with art on them weren't AI generated, and this looks like early Midjourney circa 2022, so I'm not sure of the creative director's stance on AI now 🤷♂️. Still disappointing to see from a brand who's basically selling art and design of the cans primarily, they just happen to be full of water.

That MF right there is not real!
How disheartening to see an employment service declining to even pay for stock images of people. How much would that have cost for a cheap image of people who look like this? It's one photo, Michael, how much could it cost? $10 dollars?
You may think, "What are you talking about you crazy loon? These are real people!" They may at one point have been real people, possibly even stock photo models that posed for shots exactly like these. — But wherever this company got these specific images from clearly came from an AI generator, as there are many aspects of the images that are too smooth, as would not be done by typical photo enhancing, and weird errors that could only be done by a computer assembling what's it's been programmed to define as a "person"
What is this weird patch of neckbeard, that seems to have not been shaved? And cuts off in an odd straight line at the bottom.
This other odd hard line on the left side of the hair, while the right side looks normal.
I didn't get a closeup photo of this guy on the left, but his teeth appear to be weirdly chunky, the shadow at the top of his glasses just gets "confused", and wtf is up with his ear?
The most glaring evidence of AI generation is the patch on his hat, which isn't just blurred for the sake of an ad, the text is somewhat crisp yet illegible.
All this evidence points to the fact of how AI generators work — these artificial images of people are not "drawn", they're merely assembled by advanced photo stitching of multiple people at similar angles with similar features, to create a "new" image, that's likely based mostly on one original that was in its database, so the AI generator company can get away with plagiarizing the stock photos it scraped to make these images.

I imagine the prompt for this might've had some racist undertones in addition to already being AI slop.

Wouldn't an actual photo of real ice cream, even from a free stock photo site, look more appealing than this weirdness?
