From the wiki: "At Martha Farm, Haru Urara became a minor PR character in 2018 when she was featured in a traffic safety poster of the Kisarazu Police Station."
Lost so badly they memed here into a traffic safety icon.
thinking about the japanese racehorse who was such a failgirl she became a folk hero for losers

Honestly bizarre that tomatoes get all the flack for “not being a vegetable” because they're technically a fruit when:
A) There are a ton of fruits that get categorised as vegetables. Like this also applies to pumpkins, squashes and cucumbers.
B) The fucking mushrooms are standing there at the back of the crowd in this witch trial, trying to look inconspicuous because they somehow got into the vegetable club with no fucking controversy despite the fact that they're not even plants.

Reo's "ideal" was to be a fusion of Rin and Sae so you know he's going to do the chameleon thing and trigger so much Rin trauma 😭
Post NEL Speculation
I think Chapter 300 leaves Reo in a very interesting place. I see a lot of parallels here with Rin and his own backstory with Sae. In both situations, you have a duo striving to be the best in the world together with person A being seen by person B as being the stronger of the two, that ends with A abandoning the shared goal and leaving the legacy to B to carry on alone. Also, A genuinely believes that B is the more capable one, even if B doesn't initially see it themselves.
Emotionally, they are very different. Rin and Sae are brothers with a 2 year age gap, which means that they've been together for their entire conscious lives. Reo and Nagi met less than a year ago. Both pairs experienced a recent paradigm shift, though for Rin and Sae it was their separation whereas for Reo and Nagi it was coming together. Reo was also present for nearly all of Nagi's downfall whiile Sae's was a complete surprise to Rin. The way Nagi passed the baton on to Reo is expressed a lot better and with more grace than how Sae passed to Rin. However, the most relevant difference is that Reo is far more mature than Rin.
Rin's arc has been in a bit of a holding cycle during NEL. He is still unable to stop chasing after Sae's ghost even though he recognizes the way to surpass his own limits is by trusting in his own instincts. For all of Reo and Nagi's codependent past faults, I don't think Reo is going to have this same problem. His dream of success independent of his father started long before Nagi, even if it wasn't able to fully take shape until he met him.
The next arc has been set up to be another Rin vs Isagi rivalry showdown, but Reo could play a key part. I don't think one goal means he's now committed to being a striker (also if there is one thing Blue Lock absolutely does not need is another character who wants to play in that position). As a midfielder, he's been shown primarily as Nagi-support, which has held him back a lot (something that has also been recently hammered in with Ness' loyalty to Kaiser being his downfall). With Nagi gone, he has the freedom to be a lot more flexible, creative, and make smarter plays. He also doesn't have particularly strong allegiances to either Isagi or Rin. Interestingly, other characters have also been recently highlighted as being free agents, willing to support whoever is in the better goal-scoring position as a way to exhibit their own strength (Hiori, Kiyora). (This is how many of the midfielders have played thus far, but it was never made a specific character point in the past.)
Hiori and Isagi are pretty close at this point, having gone through both 3rd selection and NEL together. They have been shown to talk and strategize together, though I don't consider them to be dependent or loyal partners to each other. Reo could end up filling a similar role for Rin as two people who are essentially discovering independence at the same time. They aren't a replacement for what the other person has lost, but something more like kindred spirits who can act as sounding boards for new ideas. Reo would also be a good role model in general for Rin as someone who is a little older and possesses a higher degree of self-assurance (except when he's crashing out after his boyfriend dumped him), better social skills, and isn't trying to crush him into a fine dust.
Anyways, that's all for this little thought train. Looking forward to the next arc!

genuinely wild to me when I go to someone's house and we watch TV or listen to music or something and there are ads. I haven't seen an ad in my home since 2005. what do you mean you haven't set up multiple layers of digital infrastructure to banish corporate messaging to oblivion before it manifests? listen, this is important. this is the 21st century version of carving sigils on the wall to deny entry to demons or wearing bells to ward off the Unseelie. come on give me your router admin password and I'll show you how to cast a protective spell of Get Thee Tae Fuck, Capital

Jonathan Stalling’s Yingelishi is a book of poetry that is read in two ways: in Chinese and in English. He offers a line of English poetry, then rewrites it phonetically in the Chinese language, so that the new line in Chinese has its own unique and coherent meaning, which is then translated back into English. The end result is a poem existing in multiple languages and in no languages at all, with multiple meanings that can be read many ways.

[Image ID: A line that reads, “早上好” which is Simplified Chinese for “good morning.” Then a line of English text that reads, “good morning,” followed by a line of pinyin or possibly a different method of transliterated Chinese that reads, “gũ dé mào níng.” Then a line of Chinese characters which reads, “孤德貌宁,” phonically the same as the above pinyin, followed by a line of English text which is the translation of the above Chinese, reading, “Even alone, the moral one / appears peaceful.” End image ID.]

On April 16th 2025 the US federal government has proposed to change the interpretation of the endangered species act so that it no longer protects habitat.
This is open for public comment until the end of May 19th. Please comment and make your voice heard.
Wildlife need their habitat. If the ESA redefines harm so that habitat is no longer protected, the implications for wildlife would be catastrophic.
