Self-reblog from my first ever scanalation! Itâs pretty terrible, but itâs been over a year now! It was originally posted on March 12, so I was one day late. xD
I uploaded it to MangaDex here.

Hello! I found this Obiyuki Doujinshi while surfing through the internet, but unfortunately, it was in a language I didnât know. I asked Nijiyoake to translate it for me, and she kindly did so! Click here for her AMAZING translations with the link of the raw version!
Below are Megasync links to download my typesetted/cleaned version! :)
Here is the link to a Megasync download for the .rar version!

Some Bad News and Good News
Okay, letâs get the worst thing out of the way: Bato.to has been closed. It has been for a while now, but I just recently found out and decided to change the website I upload manga to.
The good news is that the website Iâm now going to use is MangaDex! I made the group and uploaded all the previous chapters I scanned on there. It seems like a really good website, so fingers crossed that Iâll be able to keep using this website!

Note
why would u post the translations of ans???? like, i uunderstand u clean it and all that, but those translations arent urs so.. im just wondering....
Here are a few things to note:
Writing the translations down helps me not to make mistakes. I didnât do that for the first chapter, and that didnât end very well. Sooo many mistakesâŠ
Someone may not want to read my horrible scans and may want to just stick to the Japanese raws. These translations help them do that.
I gave Asahina (the translator) credit for their translations. Is it so bad to want to receive credit for doing the proofreading?
I hope this helped you to understand why I did what I did. Thanks fo sharing your concern.

A single slash ( / ) symbol means that the dialogue is from another bubble that is still visibly associated to the previous one. Double slashes ( // ) mean that some dialogue is from bubbles completely detached from the previous one, but are still being spoken by the same character. The asterisk ( * ) symbol are for non-auditory or auditory onomatopoeia. Brackets ( Â [ ] Â ) are for the small text that floats around the characters or bubbles. The italicized text is for a character's thoughts. âSFXâ basically refers to an action that any character(s) demonstrate. âT/Nâ are the translator's/proofreader's translation notes so you can understand it better. Any words within parentheses ( ) are mostly any side comments that the proofreader has in addition to the translations.

Box: Clarines Kingdom, Capital City, Wistal
Shirayuki: Excuse me. / I have an appointment with Kiki-san or Mitsuhide-san in the Imperial Guards...
Guard #1: Ah?! / Ahâ! Could you be...?
SFX: Whack
Guard #2: Yes! / We've been informed that His Highness Zen had a guest!
Shirayuki: Zen?
Guard #1: âRed-haired Shirayuki-dono!â
Shirayuki: Ah, / yes.
Page 3
Top of page says âAkagami no Shirayuki-hime [1]â
Guard #1: That surprised me... That was the first time I've seen someone with red hair!!
[So coolâ]
Guard #2: It was also surprising to hear her addressing His Highness without an honorific... / I can boast about this to everyone later.
T/N: Usually, when speaking to someone of a higher standing, a person would address them with an honorific to acknowledge their statures. Honorifics are words like -san, -chan, -dono, and so on. In English, instead of having an honorific at the end, we put it at the beginning. For example, you would address a teacher by putting âMs.â or âMrs.â before their name. Not putting an honorific before or after their name gives a sense of informality and closeness.
Box: By nature, I have / apple-red hair.
[I'll take you there.]
[Thank you.]
Because that is rare, / [I'll have one!] / I was chosen to be a concubine for the Prince of Tanbarun, the country I was born and raised in.
As a form of protest, I left my country and arrived at a forest in the neighboring country. / There, I met a person, and he helped me.
Maid: Ah! Zen-sama?! Your guest...
*Run / Run*
Box: That person was Zen, the Second Prince of the Clarines Kingdom.
SFX: Stops
Zen: Shirayuki?!
Page 4
Shirayuki: Sorry for intruding.
Box: and his close aidesâ
[Eh?]
Shirayuki: They're not here...
Maid: Shall I take her to the guest room?
Zen: No, here is fine.
[I wonder if tea would be okay...]
Shirayuki: âZen, / today, Kiki-san and Mitsuhide-sanâ
[Names of his close aides.]
Zen: Ssh!
*Sneaky, sneaky*
Zen: Right now, I've been scattering around.
Shirayuki: What?
Zen: I'm just trying to exercise myself a bit. / I can't let my body become dull after doing so many official duties.
[Sighâoh boy.]
[Why is he covered in leaves...?]
Shirayuki: In other words, you're escaping from official duties?
(LOLLLLL, Shirayuki is so bluntly honest! She's a perfect match for Zen!)
Zen: Well, yeah. // âI haven't seen you for a while, / so I thought I'd take a little time off and complain some...
Page 5
Zen: So, / we got to meet, Shirayuki. //...But...
Shirayuki: Hmm?
Zen: This feels formal....
SFX: Steps
Mitsuhide: She's not in the guest room nor in the gardenâ
Shirayuki: [Ah.] / Mitsuhide-san! Kiki-san!
[Tch.]
(HAHA, Zen's face is priceless!)
Mitsuhide: Hey, Shirayuki. / [Morningâ] / What are you clicking your tongue for, Zen?!
Page 6
Zen: That's fast, Mitsuhide. Have you already caught up with me? / All right, it's your turn to run away next!
[Ha ha ha]
Mitsuhide! Uwah! He's trying to drive me away, Kiki!
[ignoring]
Kiki: / That's rare of you to come here, Shirayuki.
[Yes]
Shirayuki: I'm out of town now, though. // I just remembered that Zen once told me to tell him in times like this, so...
[WHAT?!]
Zen: Don't tell me on the very day! Where are you going?!
(I feel sorry for Mitsuhide. I would slam my head into a wall if I had to deal with that side of Zen too. xD)
Shirayuki: I'm going on a day trip on a ship until it reaches the vicinity of Mount Koto.
Zen: The town ahead, near the ocean, huh...? // At first, I planned to sneak out of the castle to accompany you, / but I guess it can't be helped. Now... I'll see you off at the port.
âI'm leaving Clarines now. / Right now, I'm studying medicine.
[Studying...]
Zen: Shirayuki, weren't you a herbalist in the first place?
Page 7
Shirayuki: Yes, but / I want to practice medicine using my own medicinal plants.
Zen: Hmm?
[So that's why you go to the mountains, huh?]
[Oooh.]
Shirayuki: It's that ship.
*Clang / Clang*
*noisy / noisy*

Shirayuki: Zen, / here.
*noisy*
Zen: Hmm?
Shirayuki: The man at the pharmacy gave me this.
*noisy*
Zen: â...Important points of recruitment.â
Shirayuki: I decided to aim for it. / I'm just telling you.
Akiduki Sorata's Corner:
Box: Akagami no Shirayuki-hime
First chapter.
I finished the story for this chapter in one sitting.
Well... this idea of writing something based off a fairy tale just came to me so suddenly. I was so excited to do it that I finished it so fast.
So I decided to base it off âSnow White,â and I was thinking what kind of Snow White I wanted her to be. The first I thought of was:
No princesses.
I had fun doing this chapter. I think it really screamed out, âLook at the title!â
I also thought about retaining the poisoned apple for Snow White.
The heroine has red hair.
That's how I came up with that idea! It just came to me like that.
Symbol on the front cover.
Page 8:
Shirayuki: Pharmacist of the Imperial Court. // I can't use the reason that I'm a guest / to get inside the palace forever, right?
Zen: I see.
*Ha / Ha*
Zen: To happen to bump into you inside the castle like today, / was pretty interesting as well!
Box: Koto Town.
[Whatâ?]
Sailor: Little girl, that's some rare hair colour you have there!!
*noisy / noisy*
Page 9
Top of page says âAkagami No Shirayuki-hime [1]â
Sailor: I'm a sailor, so I've travelled the continents, / but I've never seen red hairâ
[Hoâ]
Shirayuki: Continents, you say? / [That sounds niceâ]
Guy: What?! Red hair?! // There was a huge rumour at Tanbarun before / that there's a girl who the stupid prince was fascinated with, and wanted to make her his own, but couldn't!
[Oh?]
*noisy*
*pu / pu / pu*
Woman: What are you doing today? Sight-seeing?
*Heehâ*
*noisy*
Shirayuki: ...Mostly so, yes.
[Uhm, about the ship at night... // Oh?]
[Wahâ]
[Hello.]
Shirayuki: All right.
Page 10
Shirayuki: Nextâ
Mihaya: âYou still have business on this mountain?
*Rustle*
Mihaya: How do you do? // Looks like that red hair of yours / is pretty useful.
Shirayuki: Eh?
SFX: Whack
Shirayuki: ?! / âŠ!
SFX: thud
Page 11

Shirayuki: Urgh...

Shirayuki: âŠ! // Ah...?
Box: Where is this place...?
Page 12:
Shirayuki: I remember. / Someone caught me during the day...?
*Scrape*
Shirayuki: That... / hurts. / [Uwah.] // My belongings are not here... / !!
Box: There's someone / there. // The person who hit me...?
*stare*
Shirayuki: âŠ!
(Mihaya, you need to chill. You already scared her enough without your glare.)
*Rustle*
Mihaya: You woke up?
Page 12
Mihaya: You should have said something, at least.
Shirayuki: âŠ...
SFX: Scrape
*Creak*
Mihaya: I'm Mihaya. / Â I introduced myself at the bottom of the mountain. Do you still remember?
Shirayuki: ...That was a pretty interesting way to introduce yourself. // Do you have... any business with me?
Mihaya: I can't talk to you if I don't?
Page 13
*Clack*
Mihaya: Hey, / what do you think of something that even the prince of a kingdom couldn't get his hands on?
[What?]
Mihaya: No matter where I present you, / I'm sure that I'll get heaps of rewards. // ...For example, / a girl with red hair / that seems adorned with jewels by nature... or something like that.
Shirayuki: âŠ!
(Bad Mihaya! On a different note, what are jewels made by nature? Would that be like diamonds or sapphires harvested from caves? If so, doesn't that make every jewel made by nature?)
Mihaya: Actually, I was as wellâwhen I saw you.
Page 14
Shirayuki: Are you saying... / that you plan to sell me somewhere...?
*crackle / crackle*
Mihaya: That sounds crude. / I said I'll present you. Present you. // There are tons of rich people who are curious.
Shirayuki: Who's the crude one here?
[How did he come up with something like that...?!]
[I've got to get away.]
*scrape*
Mihaya: Well, / Â I guess I should wait until your hair grows longer, though.
*grabs*
Mihaya: It's not too bad to keep you by my side until then, / huh, / Red?
(BUT ZEN IS THE ONLY ONE FOR HER. BACK OFF, MIHAYA!)
Page 15
Shirayuki: NO!!
SFX: Whack
*wobble*
Mihaya Wah...?
*dash*
Mihaya: You...! // As if I'd let you get away.
SFX: whack
SFX: thud
*whack*
Mihaya: Hmph. // For your information, we are in the middle of the mountains, Red. / You think you can run away on your own?
*lean*
Shirayuki: âŠ
*scrape*
[Just a little bit more...!]
Page 16
Mihaya: Even though I look like this, I want to treat you courteously, // so be obedient.
*RIP*
[ !! ]
Shirayuki: âŠ! / I // have a place that I decided to go to on my own,
*clack*
Shirayuki: so please find someone else!

Mihaya: Damnit, I'm burned...
SFX: gets up

Mihaya: What's with that girl?
Shirayuki: huffâ huffâ
Page 18
Shirayuki: I think this door... / leads outside...
*push / push*
Shirayuki: But there's no use. / There's a lock.
Shirayuki: huff / huff
*clang*
Shirayuki: Is there another door...?!
*dash*
*Run / Run*
Shirayuki: huff / huff // huff
Shirayuki: The windows have lattices, I can't get out. // âŠ......

Page 19
Shirayuki: Where can I get out...?
*Run*
Shirayuki: If I keep running around like this, I'll get caught...!!
*Run*
Mihaya: âAah, / found you. // You're still on the first floor.
Shirayuki: âŠ...!!
[Why is he up there?]
*creak*
Mihaya: There's no exit, right?
(He looks like a stray cat on a railing.)
*jumps*
Page 20
[Geh. / He jumped?!]
Shirayuki: Crap, I've got to run.
*Lands*
*dash*
Mihaya: âToo bad. / That way is a dead end.
*huff / huff*
Shirayuki: Shoot... / I can't go any further.
*huff*
*clack*
Shirayuki: !
[The sound of footsteps...]
*clack // clack*
[He's coming this wayâ]
Shirayuki: âŠ!! / There must be something in my bag that I can use.
SFX: Opens bag
*rustle / rustle*
Shirayuki: A book... A lamp... Ah, sweets that Mitsuhide-san gave me... / And...
Page 21
Shirayuki: Medicinal plants...
[âI can use these...!]
Shirayuki: There's not enough, / so I can't use the right amount.
*burns*
Shirayuki: There's no other way...

Page 22
Shirayuki: Not really...
[Just now, he was on the second floor.]
[That must mean he doesn't want me to get up there.]
*thump*
[ ? ]
[Then there has to be a way out!]
*thump*
*gets closer*
Mihaya: Then you wouldn't complain even if I catch you, right?
SFX: Woosh
SFX: Smash
Mihaya: Oh.
(Is that all you have to say when a girl smashes a light against a wall? I am very disappointed in you, Mihaya.)
*smoke*
Mihaya: [cough] / ?! / What the... smoke...?!
Shirayuki: It worked...!!
Page 23
*stagger*
Mihaya: âŠ...?!

Mihaya: What...?
Shirayuki: ...I burnt a type of grass that has a paralysis effect. / I think your senses will grow dull... // Please take your time and have a break!
*Run*
Mihaya: âŠ...!
Shirayuki: I'm pretty sure I saw a staircase leading to to the above just now... / There it is!
*huff // huff*
*Run / Run*
*Bam!*
*huff*
Shirayuki: âŠ...!! // There are no lattices... on the windows...!
Page 24
Shirayuki: I wonder if there's a ladder or something... to get down. // Oh, well. / [I'll jump down from that tree.]
*Rustle*
Shirayuki: I see, the lattices on the first floor / were to prevent stray animals from getting // IN.
*Jump*
*Lands*
Shirayuki: âŠ!
*huff // huff*
[I got out...!!]
Shirayuki: The sky is still bright, but... Oh well. / The mountain is dark... // My lamp was broken... / [I can only see the matches now...]

Mihaya: If you want fire, I have it.
*woosh*
Mihaya: At any rate, / you can't win against me in this mountain. // Looks like the drug just now... / was not that effective, huh?
Shirayuki: âŠ! You were able... to climb the stairs?
Mihaya: No? / There was no need to // because I have... the keys to the doors of the first floor.
Shirayuki: ! / âŠ!
Page 26

Mihaya: Ah...! // Tch!
Shirayuki: !
SFX: BAM
Mihaya: I said wait!

Shirayuki: It's hot...

Mihaya: âHey, you, / even if you run away, there's a possibility that some other guy will have a go at you.
Page 27
Mihaya: As long as you are sold to the aristocracy or royalty, you should be safe, right? / You can live in luxury while being protected. // Don't you think that's an easy way to live? / Right, Red?
Shirayuki: I // I have no interest in living my life that way.
(SQUEEE, that's my Shirayuki! Please don't ever stop being such an inspiration!)
Page 28
Mihaya: âŠ! / Then I'll take you with me.

Zen: Hey, Shirayuki. // So it wasn't a one-day trip, huh?
Shirayuki: ...Z / en.
(Proofreader's note: I'm not sure why Akiduki Sorata did Shirayuki's speech bubbles like that? There wasn't a particular reason for itâat least none that are clear to me.)
Zen: Are you hurt anywhere?
Page 31
Shirayuki: [Ah!] / I'm fine!
*flutter / flutter *
Shirayuki: I'm not hurt at all.
[Phewâ]
Zen: I see.
Mihaya: ...Urgh. / Tch.
*wobble*
*cough*
Mihaya: Heh... / So you have a bodyguard...
Zen: What theâ
Mihaya: Before this, / I also worked... as a bodyguard.
Shirayuki: And yet you came up... with something like this?
[You're so incorrigible...]
Mihaya: Ouch... / That's right.
Page 32
Mihaya: Even if you have social status or family honour, / once your fortune is gone, you're penniless.
[That hurts.]
Mihaya: Why shouldn't I earn money using all means?
Zen: Shut up.
(Let me speak on the behalf of everyone in the AnS fandom when I say we want to tell him that too.)
*Rustle*
Mihaya: âŠ!
Zen: I don't want / to know what you think of her,
Page 33
Zen: but Shirayuki // is not a tool for you to make money with.
(Well said, Zen, well said!)
Page 34
Top of page says âAkagami no Shirayuki-hime [1].â
Mihaya: ⊠/ So she's called Shirayuki, huh...?
Zen: Don't say her name with your mouth!
Mihaya: What theâare you her dad or something?
[He called me her dad...]
(HAHA! ZEN'S FACE IS PRICELESS! AKIDUKI SORATA, YOU ARE A TRUE MVP!)
Zen: Shirayuki, / does he have any other comrades?
Shirayuki: Eh? Ah, I wonder... / I didn't see anyone else, though.
Zen: ...If he's alone, I guess we can take him down the mountain. / We can hand him over to the government officials at the bottom of the mountain without having to escort him to the palace...
Mihaya: PALACE?!
[You came from the palace?!?!]
Mihaya: You... Just who exactly are you? What's your name?
Zen: ⊠/ Zen.
Mihaya: âŠ! / Heh. // I remember hearing that name.
Page 35
[The name of the Second Prince of Clarinesâ]
Zen: I'm Shirayuki's friend.
Informant*: After investigating, it seems that man was not a thief or a criminal.
Shirayuki*: Aah.
Informant*: ...But just to be on the safe side, we will keep him here for a while.
Zen*: Okay.
(Proofreader's note: *I'm really just guessing as to who is saying what in this conversation. I put âinformantâ because I've no idea if the person speaking was a guard, Shirayuki, or even Zen. There aren't any visual cues to help me out, so I'm sorry! xD)
Page 36
Shirayuki: Zen, you're mad...
Zen: Not at you.
Shirayuki: âŠ
SFX: grab
Shirayuki: Then // just a bit is fine. Turn this way. // Ten seconds! // Zen, / you came to pick me up... Just saying it isn't enough, but // thankâ
*Ruffle*
(SQUEEE! This is just too cute!)
Zen: âFive seconds is enough. // More than enough.
Page 37
Zen: ...Shirayuki, // what that bumpkin asked you when he was taken away, / the question that you didn't answer,
[âHey, Red-head, / where's the place that you said you'd decided to go?â]
Zen: do you mind me asking?
Shirayuki: Ahâ // That's.... / the reason that I decided to come to this country. // I want to know how you live in this country.
Page 38
Top of page says âAkagami no Shirayuki-hime [1].â
Shirayuki: Therefore, // I will find a place where that comes true.
[The path that I want]
Zen: ...I would be grateful / if you could find that place. // Shirayuki, / I want to thank you as well.
Page 39
Zen: For staying safe for me.
[must be a place where a dazzling tailwind blows.]
Zen: All right, Kiki and Mitsuhide should be here soon. / They're also good at sneaking out of the palace, just like me.
Shirayuki: Also good at sneaking out, huh...?

Mitsuhide: What? Even you, too, Kiki?! Donât tease me like thatâ
Zen: âSo,

Zen: who are you really? // Just what are you doing in this deep part of the forest?
Shirayuki: No, I... Um, I just left home. / I just wanted to go through the path that not many people walkedâ

Shirayuki: Ah.
Zen: ...You have a strange hair colour, huh?
(You take off a girl's hood with the hilt of your sword and that's all you have to say afterwards? An apology would be nice!)
Shirayuki: Thatâs right. Iâm often told that. // Crap...
Shirayuki: A-Anyway, you hurt your right arm when you fell down just now, right? Zen: ...What is that?
(Common manners. Care to learn about them?)
Shirayuki: Iâm a pharmacist, / so I have compress medicine and stuff like that. / [Just go ahead.]

Zen: Medicine? // Hmm. // I don't need those.

Zen: As if I can use something that is suddenly offered to me, which Iâm not yet sure if itâs poison or not! // Iâm not a stupid kid in the forest. / I canât trust strangers so easily. // In other words, we have no need for you here. // If you understand that, go away.
Shirayuki: ⊠// Well... heâs right. / But... // There are so many people ordering me around. // Iâm fed up with this...
*clang*
[Oh?]
Zen: You want to fight me?
*AHWCK*
Zen: ?!
Shirayuki: âŠ!
[Hurts more than she thought it would.]
Page 10
*spread / spread*
Zen: âŠ
*plop*
Shirayuki: âIâm sorry, but // itâs not my hobby to carry poisons around with me.
*drop*
Mitsuhide: A Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! // She got you, Zen!
[Eh?}
[Ku...]
[Kuku*...]
T/N: *Kukuku literally translates to âHehehe.â Itâs meant to be a snicker.
Page 11
Zen: Haâ... / Sorry, then. // I'm counting on you. // It was half your fault to begin with that I screwed up when I landed. // Take responsibility. // Youâll take care of me until my pain goes away, right?
SFX: grabs
Zen: This is just a vacant house where we hang around. / You can stay here however long you want. // Right, Kiki? Mitsuhide?
Mitsuhide: Thatâs right, but... donât decide things on your own.
Zen: Okay?
Page 12
[Responsibility...]
Kiki: For now, let's go inside.
Box: After the palace / is the forest...
Shirayuki: Like I said! / Even if I tell you the reason I left home, you wouldnât find it interesting, Zen.
Zen: Like I saidâitâs not interesting if you donât tell me, Shirayuki. // Donât be so cold like that. / see, our bandages are also friends.
[Haha, they match, see?]
Zen: ⊠// Come on, smile.
Page 13
Shirayuki: Kiki-san, Mitsuhide-san! / Iâm going for a small walk.
*Smile*
[Okay, okay...]
Zen: You only like those two...
(Maybe it's because they didn't tell her she wasn't needed or expose her hair with a sword? Just a thought.)
Shirayuki: âSo why did you follow me, Zen?
Zen: It would be a disgrace for a gentleman, like me, to let a girl, who is hurt, wander around the forest alone, / Even though you are so unkind to me.
[Haâ...]
Shirayuki: I study medicinal plants, so Iâm already used to mountains and forests. Iâm fine.
*tighten*
Zen: Hmm.
Shirayuki: The forest is different from the town. Time and space have their own flow. / Itâs also comfortable here.
Zen: Yeah. / I know that.
Page 14
Shirayuki: You were honest just now, huh?
Zen: !
Shirayuki: OUCH?!
Zen: Ahâ / Your hair got stuck in the tree... somehow, thereâs only one bundle of long hair?
Shirayuki: Eh?
[Ouch, ouch.]
Shirayuki: Ah, I cut my hair when I left home, so that must be why... / Sorry, Zen, but can you cut it for me? / [I canât untangle it...]
Zen: What? // âŠ!
*grin*
Page 15
Zen: No, no! By no means would I cut a girlâs hair! // What does cutting off your long hair have to do with leaving home? / If you donât tell me the reason, I cannot help you...
Shirayuki: ...You are so...
(There's a new barbershop open for business; Zen's Hair Salon! He'll cut your hair if you tell him a secret. What a deal!)
Zen: A rich guy told you to be his concubine?!!
Shirayuki: Heâs a famous guy who knows the ins and outs of the Red light district* by heart. People saw that he grew up eating gold coins**.
T/N: *Area where prostitutes (can we use that word?) and other questionable characters reside.
**Grew up in privilege and wealth; basically, very spoiled.
Shirayuki: He said that he thinks red hair is rare, / so he wants to have me.
*speechless*
Shirayuki: If I let him do that, // I would be like an apple that he buys from a fruit store.
Zen: Shira...
Shirayuki: âThatâs why
Page 16
Shirayuki: I thought heâd get tired of looking at a piece of it, / so I bunched my hair and left it behind.
Zen: [Pu!] / Thatâs great! / HaHAhahaHAHAHAHAha!
(Zen can laugh for a long time, can't he?)
Shirayuki: Â Ahahaha, itâs not a laughing matter, though.
Zen: No, no. / You made the right decision. Â // Let him experience being cut off by a low-ranked girl.
Shirayuki: ?
Zen: People say that red / is the colour of fate, right?
Page 17
Zen: Now you may think it's only troublesome, // but it might connect you with something unexpectedly good.
Shirayuki: Th--... / Thatâs an awesome way of thinking...
Zen: Oh, yeah? Respect me now?
Mitsuhide: ...Looks like Shirayuki is not a bad person after all, huh, Kiki?
Kiki: On the contrary, it seems like Zen is quite taken with her.
Mitsuhide: It would be a disaster for Shirayuki / if sheâs caught.
Page 18
Messenger: This is a present from Tanbarun!
Zen: Tanbarun~~~? // What? something from the neighbouring country to this deep in the forest...
*thud*
Shirayuki: EH?!
Zen: Shirayuki?
Shirayuki: âŠ! // Thatâs... / the ribbon that I used to tie the hair that I cut...
Zen: What?!
[?]
Page 19
Zen: Can I... look inside the basket?
Shirayuki: What? / Ah, sure... // Applesâ...
Zen: In short, / the sender of this was worried about you having to leave home to travel so far away, // so he will come to pick you up at your town at the border of Tanbarun... // ...A pretty spiteful gentleman, huh?
Shirayuki: Heâs good with words.
Zen: What are you laughing about?! // Is he so high-ranked that you had to cross the country border to run away?!
Page 20
Shirayuki: ⊠/ the person who wants me as his concubine...
Zen: âŠ
Shirayuki: â... / is Tanbarun's... // First Prince.
Zen: !
*bam*
Zen: That stupid prince called Raji?!
Shirayuki: Wow... even people from the neighbouring country know him... // ...Thatâs who Iâm dealing with. / Well, // I might have been followed after I crossed the country border.
Page 21
Zen: He thinks that anything he wants / belongs to him.
[I expect no less from him.]
Shirayuki: ⊠// He wouldnât think that he can put me in a basket, would he....?
Zen: Eh...
Page 22
Top of the page says âAkagami No Shirayuki-hime [1].â
Shirayuki: Just kidding...
*gets up*
*slowly*
Shirayuki: Zen?
Page 23
**bites*
Shirayuki: Zeâ...
Mitsuhide: What bad mannersâyou shouldnât do that, Zen.
[Youâve got to hold the apple yourself.]
SFX: Cough // Cough
Zen: Whâ.... / What are you looking at...? / I didnât call you. Mind your own business!!
Mitsuhide: Uwah! / Don't hurt my feelings!
Zen: â â
Mitsuhide: Uwahâ
Shirayuki: ⊠// Zen.
*gets up*
Zen: What?
Page 24
Shirayuki: ⊠/ I said something stupid. // Sorry.
(Haha, the look on Zen's face in panel two! I bet he didn't expect her to apologise to him like that!)
*stagger*
Zen: âŠ?! // ...Shirayuki, / Donât... eat that apple.
Shirayuki: Eh?
Zen: Kiki, Mitsuhide... / sorry... // Don't get / mad...
Mitsuhide: Zen?
*stagger*
Zen: âŠ!
SFX: Thud
Everyone: ZEN!!
Page 25
Mitsuhide: Whatâs wrong, Zen? / Hey!! // Zen!!
[âDon't / eat that apple.â]
[Eh...?]
*creak*
Mitsuhide: ! // Who's that?!
Guard: âIâm a messenger. // ...Good grief. / So it wasnât Shirayuki-dono* who ate the apples?
T/N: *âDonoâ is a term of great respect and reverence. Itâs often translated as âLordâ or âLadyâ in English translations.
Page 26
[Hmm.]
Guard; Oh well...?
Shirayuki: ..You... / came to my house before...
Mitsuhide: Whatâs the meaning of this...?
Guard: âShirayuki-dono, // Those are poisoned apples. // Please do not worry. / there is someone who has the antidote. // ...You will go / with me, wonât you?
Page 27
Guard: Prince Raji, / I have brought her here.
Raji: So sheâs come! All right, you can get out.
*turns around*
Raji: Oh, so this is you! // I see... this is amazing. / Your red hair is real. // Come this way, Shirayuki-dono.
*close*
Shirayuki: ...Can I have the antidote for my friend, Prince Raji?
Raji: Thatâs for later! because of a sneaky thief, I donât have much time for you.
Shirayuki: Whaâ...
*Katan*
Raji: This is such a dreadful thing... / It seems that I have become a laughing stock for everyone in the suburbs as well as in the palace for letting you run away from my courtship, Shirayuki-dono.
[Puu*..]
T/N: *âPuuâ is the SFX for âpuffâ in Japanese. He's basically puffing out his cheeks in annoyance.
Raji: Really... thanks to this, my reputation might drop very low!
Page 28
Shirayuki: Your reputation is already too low to drop down anymore to begin with. // ...And?
Raji: If I admit your crime, it would mean admitting that the rumour is true. / âTherefore, to redeem my reputation, // say that you want to become my concubine. // Even though youâre only a street girl, I donât want to embarrass you. / so I, who have been emotionally wounded, will accept you.
Shirayuki: ...Auditory Hallucination?! // Don't joke.
Raji: Aah! / It was a coincidence, // ...but I was truly lucky to have all the ingredients for the poison.
Page 29
Raji: Do you want to / go visit your friend once, Shirayuki-dono?
*drop*
Raji: âBut // It would be a pity to let the girl who can entertain my eyes so much // go somewhere far away.
*roll*
[âThey say red / is the colour of fate.â]
Page 30
[âIt might connect you / to something unexpectedly good.â]
[He // said those words / to me.]
SFX: smack
Raji: ?! / What are you...?
Shirayuki: Oh my,, that's impolite. / Prince Raji, // ...Please // take me with you as you please.
Page 31
Zen: I OPPOSE!!
*wham*
Everyone: ?!
[Eek!]
Zen: Will you please // stop spouting nonsense that will dirty her ears?
Shirayuki: Zen...
Raji: W-Who are you? / What are the guards...?
Page 32
Mitsuhide: Itâs okay, itâs okay. // We're guarding.
Raji: !!
Shirayuki: Zen...!!
Zen: Hey, Shirayuki. / Tie this for me.
[It was unfastened.]
Shirayuki: Eh? / B-But before that, your body...
(That look that Zen gives her just gives me the wrong idea. xD)
Raji: !
[Ah!]
Raji: Thatâs right. / So youâre the guy who ate the poison! // Oh no, what misfortune! / I planned to make Shirayuki-dono unable to move so that I could take her here.
Zen: ...So youâre the one who sent the apples.
[Hmph.]
Raji: Show more respect to me. / Our social statuses are different, you know.
Zen: ...Thatâs impolite, / Raji-dono.
Page 33
Zen: All right, this is troublesome, but let me introduce myself. / This is the first time youâve met me.
*Clang*
Zen: Iâm Zen, the Second Prince of the Clarines Kingdom.
Shirayuki: ⊠/ Second... Prince?! // Ze-... Zen... Get a hold of yourself!
[Do you know me?!]
Zen: Iâm still sober, Shirayuki. // Just in case, / I got myself a little bit accustomed to poisons...
Page 34
[He looks pale...]
Zen: ...But I never thought / that I would be poisoned by a prince of a neighbouring kingdom, / Raji-dono.
*approaches*
Raji: âŠ
*turns around*
Mitsuhide: Heâs the real thing. / Right, buddy?
Guard: H-... / Heâs telling the truth! he has the crest on his belongings...
Raji: ...Fu*. / Is there any evidence that I... that I** poisoned the apples?!
*flustered*
Zen: There should still be some around, right? / For example, something left in your residence? // You wouldnât mind an official search, right?
Raji: Th-...!! / That's âŠ
Zen: Then should I deal with you myself, stupid prince?
T/N: *âFuâ can translate into a variety of sounds, but in this context, itâs a sarcastic chuckle, since Raji doesnât really believe Zen.
**At first, he used a slightly more informal way of addressing himself. Raji kinda meant to imtimidate Zen with his royal title.
Page 35
Zen: If you donât want me to reveal your foolish behaviour this time to the publicâswear  // never to involve yourself with Shirayuki again, // and never to call her name again.
Raji: ..Why even her name...?
Zen: Shall I make you swear with my sword?
Raji: I GOT IT! I SWEAR! I JUST SWORE!
Zen: âShirayuki! / You have tons of things you want to tell him, right?
[Eh!]
Zen: If you want to tell him off, nowâs the time.
[Go ahead.]
Shirayuki: â...Okay.
*bends down*
*Picks up*
Page 36
Shirayuki: Here you go, Prince Raji.
SFX: Shove
Shirayuki: This is my gift for visiting you.
[It fell.]
[2 cm]
Shirayuki: âAlso, // hurry up / and give Zen the antidote! // âThank you.
Page 37
Zen: Whatâs that, Shirayuki? //
[Why are you sitting up straight?]
Shirayuki: You helped me... // but I'm sorry. // I... / was only poison to you.
[Ha / ha / ha]
Zen: Am I... supposed to laugh there? / Is it because the poisoned apple I ate and you are both red?
Shirayuki: ...Itâs kind of different.
Page 38
Kiki: Itâs okay, Shirayuki. Itâs not something that you have to apologise about. / Zen ate the apple himself.
[Kiki-san...]
Kiki: But you really had us worried, Zen! / Mitsuhide even said that if you died, he would die as well, and he got all teary.
Zen: I got it, I got it! / Sorry about that. // Next time, I will have him peel fruits for me before I eat them...
Mitsuhide: Thatâs not the point!!
Zen: â...Shirayuki,
*kneels down*
Zen: Do you still remember / what I said in the forest? // To me, / being with you now / is fate, and Iâm happy about it, okay?
Page 39
Zen: You met us in the forest that you entered. / We got involved, / and we protected each other. // Will it all end now, // or will it / continue to connect us? // It is up to you to decide.
Shirayuki: ...No... / that.... / is that something that I can decide?
Zen: Of course! / I also decide my fate // Decide / and whether you walk on that road or not totally depends on you.
Page 40
Mitsuhide: âŠ. / Zen, you....
[He sounds so grand.]
[Yeah.]
Zen: What?
Shirayuki: That's really a great way of thinking.
*clang*
Zen: Itâs not a way of thinking. / Itâs a way of living. // âWhatâs your answer, // Shirayuki?
[That is, / so to speak, my own story.]
Page 41
Shirayuki: I willâ
[If I had a wish, I would wish / that the sound of the turning pages of my story after this encounter / would resound like the sound of footsteps.]
Mitsuhide: Heâs just showing off, though. / His immediate fate would be returning to the castle and getting people mad at him, Shirayuki.
[Hohâ]
[He snuck out of the castle for a few days again...]
Kiki: And we will suffer the same fate. / Wonderful, wonderful.

Quick Clarification
Hellooo everyone! I hope youâve all had a great day so far! Iâd just like to clarify that I ( @shirayuki-sama ) am not a translator, nor do I claim to be. Although I am currently in the midst of learning Japanese, I would by no means say that Iâm ready to be a translator. I only use translations and/or raws provided by kind people online. Thatâs all for now! Thank you for following this blog and for supporting me!

Thank you for the Akagami extra!
Haha, it was my pleasure to do that! Honestly, though, I couldnât have done it without @dryasiuliaâs amazing translations or @wistalcastleâs astonishing topazed HQ raws! They really do help an amateur like me do something for the AnS community!
Thank you so much for your kind compliment! Iâm so happy to be able to do something for the AnS fan-base!
(Btw, sorry for answering this so late! I didnât even realise I had a new ask until I checked! xD)

Does your group need any new members? If so, where can I apply to join?
Actually, yes we do! Currently, only I (Yuki) am in the group, so I manage everything by myself.
What this group really needs is a translator and redrawer for the manga, and a timer who can do karaoke lyrics for the OP/ED (sorry, I canât do that), but a few other jobs are available as well.
If you would like to join, please complete the test of your choice below and send it back to me by sending a link through PM. If youâre accepted or not, Iâll be sure to notify you.
Redrawer Test
Cleaner Test
Typesetter Test
Timer Test
Translator Test   (Not sure what to do for this one? I would send a few raws, but in order for me to be able to check on it, it would need to be already translated. If you say you want to be a translator through PM, just send a few of your past works and Iâll accept you.)
Thank you all for taking such an interest in this group! It means a lot to me!
