Final Fantasy XIII (2009, Square Enix)
I'm still alive! Sorry I haven't posted in so long, been going through some stuff and I haven't felt like any of my recent shots were worth posting.

Halo 2 (2004, Bungie)
Incredible game, it's aged like a fine wine.
My friend (who I'm playing through the series with for their first time) liked it a lot more than Halo CE, largely thanks to the greater mission variety, fewer recycled levels, and more that are vehicle-focused. The latter is where the series has always shined best, imo.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what they think of Halo 3 next.

If you missed it, my Halo CE screenshots are here:

Replaying the series with a friend who's never played any of them, so expect to see a set or two for each game in the near future. I already have like 200 shots for Halo 2 that I need to sort through.. Oh and here's a few of my favorite interior shots I took during this latest playthrough:

Folklore (2007, Game Republic)
I need to check out Game Republic's final title, Knights Contract, at some point soon.

Leviathan (1989)Directed by George P. CosmatosCinematography by Alex Thomson
Maybe not the best of movies, but it's still a fun watch and there's a lot of nice sets and matte paintings. I have a soft spot for this horror sub-genre of "we're stuck in the ocean with monsters."

ANEURISM IV Playtest (2024-2025, Vellocet Software)
If you were ever a fan of Gmod RP, this should be on your radar. It's literally that but more dystopian.

Some more of Area 51 (2005, Midway Austin)
Sorry I haven't posted much lately. I've been going through a lot and when I do have some time to play games I end up playing newer stuff that I figure most people wouldn't want to see screenshots of.

Here's the last set of Area 51 shots I shared over a year ago:

Split Second (1992) Directed by Tony Maylam Cinematography by Clive Tickner
One of Rutger Hauer's lesser-mentioned movies, it's an action thriller where he plays a detective hunting for a serial killer that keeps taking the victims' hearts. It's also set in an extremely drenched London in the distant future of 2008. I can't think of many other movies that were as grossly wet as this one.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The movie is honestly nothing special, pretty average, but it's a fun watch largely thanks to Rutger Hauer being incredible in everything, no matter how low budget or silly it was.

WILD HEARTS (2023, Omega Force)
Picked this up for $10 in the current Steam sale, other than the performance issues I'm really enjoying it, more so than my time with Monster Hunter: World. I really dig the building mechanic and exploration. Shame it did poorly and EA dropped all support. :/

If you do try it make sure to lock it to 60fps both in-game AND in your GPU's control panel, then switch audio in-game to 7.1/5.1 to fix the stuttering. I have no idea why the latter helps, but it does.

Sabotain: Break the Rules (2004, Avalon Style Entertainment)
Not sure how I'd never heard of this one until my friend stumbled upon it. It's basically Russian Deus Ex with extra jank.
Tumblr media
From what I've played so far it seems very ambitious. There are a ton of large, open, and very unique maps, a day/night cycle, and even the ability to buy vehicles (and you'll definitely want one with how huge some of the areas are).

Damn, I'm really sad to hear David Lynch is gone. Twin Peaks is one of my all-time favorite shows.
Tumblr media
I wish I had more than just this one screenshot of Deadly Premonition to share since it was basically Twin Peaks: The Game.
Though I did find a painting of him in World War Z the other day!

Pilotwings 64 (1996, Paradigm Entertainment Inc. and Nintendo)
I wasn't sure if I should post these shots since I took them using https://noclip.website/ instead, because I haven't figured out a way to actually disable HUD in N64 games yet.

Ninelives (2015, SmokyMonkeyS)
A cool MMO with a sorta Morrowind-ish vibe to it. I'd never even heard of the game until my friend discovered it about two weeks ago.
It's sadly dead and hasn't had any content updates since 2018, but the servers are still up (for now) and all of the monetization was disabled so you can play it entirely for free.
It's definitely worth checking out for free, plus who knows how long they'll keep the servers up. Hopefully at some point they share server tools or convert it into a single-player/P2P experience. I could see this game gaining a cult following.

Tom Clancy's The Division (2015, Massive Entertainment)
These are ancient screenshots from when I played through it on PS4 and then PC. Always bugged me that the only way to hide the HUD was with an auto-hide setting that doesn't actually hide everything.
I should do a replay soon and see if I can make a HUD toggle mod..
