Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part III: Rebellion

I was advised to skip movies 1 and 2 as they just recap the original series but with some extra scenes. I went straight to the third movie, which is 1 hour and 56 minutes. Same as the series, it is SFW but has heavy topics such as violence, murder, suicide, and character death. The plot begins with the entire group back together like nothing ever happened. Homura starts to notice that things are wrong, and remembers what happened before. The world around them is fake, and only Homura remembers the truth.

This movie was SO FUCKING GOOD. It is confusing at first because the audience is as blind as Homura as to what is happening. It makes the story so much better and shocking. I have now changed my opinion, Homura definitely fits under the yandere category. She hides her intentions so well, you never see the twist coming. The writers are fucking cookin it UP in that studio. I LOVED this movie 10/10. I'm excited to hear that the next movie is coming out winter of this year!

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

I'm not really sure if this would be classified as yandere, but I really enjoyed it so I'm doing a review :p. This is a manga and anime, I watched the anime. It is 12 episodes long. It is SFW but there are heavy topics such as violence, murder, suicide, and major character death. The story follows Madoka, a middle schooler, along with her friends. A magical being named Kyubey offers them the chance to become magical girls and have one wish granted if they make a contract with him. However, a new transfer student is trying to interfere.

The story starts off very cute, then devolves into despair very quickly. It isn't what you'd expect by looking at it. The art and how it changes during witch encounters is amazing. There are multiple plot twists that hit you like a train. It very much reminds me of Future Diary, with the magical items and time aspects. There is minor nudity during some of the character transformations, however not much is shown and they don't sexualize the middle school girls like Future Diary does!! The bar is very low ik lol. I'm not sure if Homura would classify as the traditional yandere, but she does risk everything, including her entire life and who she is as a person, to try and save Madoka. I really enjoyed the anime it was so bittersweet 8/10, I'll be watching the following movie and will update soon!

Yandere Psychosophy/Attitudinal Psyche

Overview

This is a yandere typing system based on the original Psychosophy (also remade as Attitudinal Psyche) system. Originally, it was divided into four aspects: logic, physics, emotions, and volition/will.

These placements are divided into another four placements: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. The 1st placement is characterized by absolute, possibly even arrogant, confidence in that aspect and feeling no need to improve or change it. It is very rigid and unchangeable. The 2nd placement, on the other hand, is the most flexible placement. It is characterized by confidence but not arrogance, feeling little weakness in this aspect. To the user of the 2nd function, it is comfortable and easy to use with others and develop further. But the 3rd placement is the opposite. It is the most uncomfortable to use, with a constant feeling of insecurity associated with it. There seem to be two most common approaches to this function: aggressively overusing it or the opposite, neglecting it. This is the placement that needs the most improvement. Finally, the 4th placement is the most underused and is seen by its user as either unimportant or better with a quick fix. These four placements form the foundation of understanding an individual's strengths, weaknesses, and areas for potential growth within this typology system.

Yandere System

So what about the yandere system? It follows the same placement rules as the original system but uses its own aspects. The yandere Psychosophy system is divided into four four aspects, respectively: cognition (C), aggression (A), expression (E), and determination (D).

Cognition, equivalent to logic in the original Psychosophy system, reflects how a yandere processes information, plans their actions, and uses their intelligence to manage their obsession.

Aggression, equivalent to physics in the original Psychosophy system, evaluates how a yandere uses power, intimidation, or violence to get what they want or control their darling.

Expression, equivalent to emotion in the original Psychosophy system, focuses on how freely a yandere shows their affection and obsession for their darling.

Finally, determination, equivalent to volition/will in the original Psychosophy system, assess how either determined or fragile a yandere is in achieving their goals with their darling.

Placement Descriptions

Cognition (C)

1st Placement (C1): Exhibits absolute confidence in their ability to strategize and plan. This yandere is highly analytical and methodical, always staying several steps ahead. They see no need for improvement in their cognitive abilities and are often seen as calculating masterminds.

2nd Placement (C2): Confident and comfortable in their cognitive abilities, they can adapt plans fluidly and are skilled at thinking on their feet. They are open to developing their strategic thinking further and are effective planners who work well with others.

3rd Placement (C3): Struggles with insecurity regarding their cognitive skills. They might oscillate between overanalyzing situations to compensate for their perceived shortcomings or neglecting planning altogether. This yandere needs the most improvement in how they process information and strategize.

4th Placement (C4): Minimally engaged in strategic thinking, often relying on intuition or others for planning. They see detailed planning as unimportant and prefer quick fixes or spontaneous actions.

Aggression (A)

1st Placement (A1): Extremely confident in using aggression and violence to achieve their goals. They are unyielding and often intimidate or overpower others without hesitation. Improvement is seen as unnecessary as they view their aggressive approach as highly effective.

2nd Placement (A2): Uses aggression when necessary but with restraint and control. They are comfortable leveraging their power but prefer to balance it with other methods. Open to refining their approach, they effectively combine intimidation with strategic non-violent tactics.

3rd Placement (A3): Feels insecure about their use of aggression. They may either overuse violence in an attempt to assert control or avoid it altogether out of fear or uncertainty. Developing a balanced approach to aggression is crucial for them.

4th Placement (A4): Rarely resorts to violence or intimidation, viewing it as a last resort. They prefer non-aggressive methods and see aggression as unimportant or something to be avoided. They often look for quick, peaceful solutions.

Future Diary/Mirai Nikki

This is a manga and anime, I watched the anime which is 26 episodes. A final OVA episode was released 2 years later for an extended ending. There are themes of child abuse, stalking, violence, SA/rape (not between the main characters), murder, and suicide. Nudity is present and one sex scene near the end. The story follows the protagonist Yukiteru, a lonely boy who keeps a diary on all his observations. Yuno is his stalker who is madly in love with him. One day, a god named Deus chooses 12 people to fight for a chance to become his successor, and to become a god. Each person receives a diary that can tell future events, and they must kill all other diary owners. Every person's diary works differently and tells different types of events. Only one can remain alive and win.

It took me so long to finish watching this lmao. The story somewhat reminded me of death note, but way more complex and psychological. I enjoyed the game and I thought Yuki and Yuno were very well written. Yuki deteriorates and loses his morals further in, and Yuno is actually written with motives for what she does. I hate when female yanderes are written just to be obsessive love interests. Fortunately, it is actually shown why she has the attachment issues she has, the trauma she has gone through, and why she loves Yuki. The plot twist is so crazy, you can expect a happy or sad ending, but it does NOT happen the way you think it will.

On the other hand, there are a few times Yuno is sexualized. She does all of these on purpose to try and catch Yuki's attention, but they could've shown her desperation in other ways. I HATE the sex scene. Yuki and Yuno decide to get it on before the world ends, and I get that kids do shit they're not supposed to, but bro DONT SHOW ME THAT SHIT. It's not even plot relevant, they didn't have to write it in. THEYRE 14 WTF!!? If that scene wasn't included the anime would've been a 10/10. But just for that, it's getting knocked down to a 6/10. I need to go bleach my eyeballs.

My Sweet Bunny Cage

This manga is a oneshot with two volumes. It is NSFW and contains the usual yandere themes, drugging and kidnapping. As well as heavier themes; animal abuse, noncon, and unconsensual body modifications. It is also very pet-play heavy. The main character is unnamed, and the love interest is called Kesedo. The main character is a short and petite woman with a short temper, who works in an office. Walking home she is approached by Kesedo, who mistake her for his pet rabbit? Idek. He is convinced she is a reincarnation of his feisty childhood pet, and kidnaps her.

This manga wasn't my cup of tea. He really only seems to love her because she reminds him of his dead rabbit, and because he wants to have sex with her. He also only calls her "Rabby" the entire time which really put me off. The one time she manages to escape, he catches her and has her Achilles tendons cut so she can never walk again. Yeah. Only part I did like was that she got a pretty nice room, and that he wanted to take care of her and be depended on. 2/10, I hated his character and his motivations. Not to mention all his horrible actions.

Kylar the Loner (Degrees of Lewdity)

This is a categorization of Kylar's yandere personality based on multiple different personality tests I've collected.

The end results are at the bottom if you don't wanna read my huge blurbs of text XD.

1. The OG but Confusing Graph, I would say that Kylar fits under multiple different types. First off, Kylar is definitely the stalker type. They have a set schedule throughout the game where they stalk the player, as well as gift them a owl plush; inside is a hidden camera to watch the player in their room. This also goes along with the protective type, they give you pepper spray to protect yourself and will also shoot down any threats with tranquilizer darts. Since being seen with Kylar automatically lowers your status, they are an accidental loneliness-induction type 💀. If you trigger their kidnapping event, they become a shackling type, tying you up in their basement and keeping you. They also fit under the wrong idea type, monopoly type, and worship type.

2. The Ultimate Yandere Types List, again they're obviously the stalker type. Also the monitoring type, watches the player wit a hidden camera and will eventually kidnap them if pushed too far, they're easily jealous and can become hysteric.

3. The Big Five Yandere Personality Types, Yandere MTBI, Soft Yandere MBTI, and Yandere Types are all very similar/overlap so I'm combining them into one bulletpoint. Kylar is pretty open/overt and direct, whether it's purposefully or not. They show a lot of affection towards the player openly, they try to hide their stalking but they're not very good at it. They are also intense and smothering, they literally become a love interest by attacking a classmate with a knife, they will do anything to have the player, putting them under the lethal and violent category as well. They also fall under the controlling and strict category, not because they see the player as lesser, but because they want to protect them and keep them to themselves. They are actually quite reverent, seeing the player as their life objective. Submissive in the fact that they care about their partner and will do anything for them. Kylar is resilient and fragile? They will stop at nothing to have the player, but are also just meek and pathetic. The type to induce Stockholm syndrome, but also cry their eyes out if the player is upset with them. Very much delusional, no explanation needed. They are manipulative, hides the fact they have a hidden camera in your room and stalks you daily. Kylar is wary, they are suspicious of everyone and will make any precautions necessary. Including kidnapping, they are prepared and have all equipment necessary.

4. The Yandere Enneagram: The 27 Tritypes, they are 469: The Love-Seeker. They aren't looking for a possession or something to fix, they see the player as a soulmate. They are easily anxious and jealous, very needy. They love like a dog.

You go to the university library every Monday to pick up books for your studies. Today, you've come to the library to choose a book for your upcoming English project. The afternoon sun is warm, and the surrounding trees provide the relief of shade. You slow down as you approach the doors of the building. When you enter you are greeted by the ding of a bell, and you walk towards the back of the library. Now at the classic literature section, you pick up a novel of your choice.

You find a place to sit and read, and set your bag next to your seat. Opening the book, you prepare to take notes. A few pages in, you realize you are having difficulty understanding the story. The language is incredibly hard to read. Sighing, you close your book and look around, people are bustling around the library, it's quite busy at this time of day. Yellow light filters through the windows and paints the carpet a warm orange. Focus. Once again, you try to comprehend your novel.

Conveniently, your librarian friend rounds the corner and greets you, tall and lanky, dressed in his usual sweater and trousers. You recently met him a few weeks ago when searching for a book. Since then, he's been extremely helpful and attentive to you. He abandons his cart of books as he walks up to where you're seated.

"Hello, I'm glad to see you again. What are you reading?"

You give him the name of the novel and explain that you are taking notes for your English project this week.

"Oh! I've read that one before. I could help, if you don't mind!"

He looks at the ground as he waits for your response. He has always seemed very nervous, but this time it makes you giggle. You invite him to sit with you, and he takes the seat beside you. You read through the novel together, he explains the plot and helps you take notes. He seems to be getting closer to you as time passes, but you brush it off. After a while, your focus begins to waver. You look at the time and realize how late it's gotten.

"Hey, it's getting late I should probably get go-"

He quickly interjects,

"Would you like a coffee? I can go grab us both one from the break room!"

It was unlike him to interrupt you so suddenly, he almost seems to be in a rush. Nevertheless, you accept his offer. Coffee sounds nice, especially on a cold night like tonight. While the librarian is gone, you glance out the windows. It has gotten dark outside, the library should be closing soon. You observe that the library is now empty, and dead quiet.

You can feel the pressure of eyes on you, turning around you see the man returning with two cups of coffee. Thanking him, you begin to drink. It's exactly how you like! Surprised, you ask him how he knew.

"Just a lucky guess hahaa"

His laugh sounds nervous, more nervous than usual. He helps you organize the last of your notes into a short summary; watching you as you drink, until you eventually finish your cup.

"Thank you so much for the help today! I really should be going now though."

You start to gather your things and grab your keys out of your bag.

"Wait! It's time for close, but I've totally forgotten to put these books away! Could you please help me?"

He looks almost desperate. You agree to help, he's spent so much of his time helping you. He looks strangely excited. Ecstatic even. As you stand up, you feel a wave of exhaustion wash over you. You're so tired. Your eyelids feel heavy, and they start to drop under the pressure of sleep. His gaze is intense, he stares at you with wide eyes.

"Are you ok?"

Everything goes dark.

You wake up, and slowly peel your eyes open. You are in an unfamiliar room, the lighting is dim, enough so that it is difficult to see ahead of you. The only source of light being a small overhead lamp. The room is scarcely decorated, containing just a mattress and a closet. You try to stand, only to realize that your arms and legs are bound to the chair you're sitting in. You struggle, but only succeed in rocking the chair and making a horrible screeching noise against the floor. You try to scream, but your mouth is covered by some kind of cloth. You hear shuffling, and a door opens. A bright light is turned on, you squint while your eyes adjust. You then see your librarian standing before you.

"You're awake!"

He exclaims with excitement. You stare at him with fear and confusion.

"I know you must be confused, I'm sorry"

He pauses before speaking again.

"I put you to sleep and brought you here. I drugged your coffee, but only because I didn't want to have to inject you or hurt you to transport you here! I even took care to make sure the security cameras weren't working today, so that nobody knows where you are."

He observes your expression and continues to speak.

"This is your new home, and this is the room you'll be living in."

Again, you begin to struggle. He takes notice and removes your gag. You confront him about his behavior and question his motives.

"I am in love with you. Ever since I met you I have been enamoured with you. I fell for you after you joined our highschool book club. You always defended me, you were my savior. I've been watching you for a long time. I became a librarian just for the chance to find you again."

Tears run down your face, and he kneels down to wipe them off for you. He begins to speak softer now.

"You might not understand it now, but you belong with me. I will worship you like the god you are."

You cannot escape.

"Don't worry, I'll keep you safe."

Yandere Girl Types

The Super Fan

● She can't help but trail after you like a lovesick puppy. She looks at you and everything you do with the rosiest of rose-colored glasses. Whether you're the talented type or just an average person, she looks at you like you are her everything, because you are!

● Whenever you're together, she's a little clingy. But it's nice to have someone who likes you as much as she does. It makes you feel special, wanted. She's not shy about making the first move, and she's especially not shy about telling you how she feels. But she makes sure you know that you don't have to say it back if you're not there yet. She knows you will though. Soon.

● She sits and smiles at the pictures of you all over her room. Anything you've touched, she considers her greatest treasures. She saw you drop your favorite pen one day and meant to give it back to you, honest. But the moment she touched it, it was like something came over her. She lets herself in and plays house, imagining your life together. Soon, she's watching you sleep and even lies down next to you, just for a little bit. She wants to touch you so badly...

● She wonders... if you woke up, would you smile like you always do? Would you hold her close? Would you be hers?

The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing

● On the outside, she's the nicest girl. Whenever you see her, she's always got a sweet smile on her face and is always willing to help you if it means she gets to spend a little more time with you. You think of her as the kind and generous type, but she doesn’t extend this behavior to anyone but you.

● She doesn't really seem interested in dating. Anyone who actually has asked her out gets turned down gently. But a few of them swear they could see a look of disgust flash across her face for just a second before the rejection, but they always thought they just imagined it. In reality, there's only one person on her mind, so no one else can even compare.

● No one sees the other side of her. The way she stares down the girl who always laughs at your jokes. How she swears under her breath when she sees how your best guy friend just casually touches your arm, how her nails dig into the palms of her hands until they bleed. Any attention, good or bad, is everything to her. You're everything to her. But she can't tell you, not yet. If she messes it up, if you reject her... She couldn't live with that.

● You start noticing things. Little gifts someone has left you, sometimes snacks and treats. The book you've been reading suddenly has a pressed flower inside the front cover, baby's breath. You find love notes in your bag. Some are flowery poetry, others get a little steamy, but it's all a bit clumsy, somehow. At first you think it might be one of your friends pranking you, but no one you know would pull something like this. Maybe someone actually has a thing for you? But how are you supposed to respond when there's no way to give anyone an actual answer? You decide to just ignore it until this person actually decides to meet you face to face.

● You don't smile when you see her gifts anymore. The notes she pours her heart into get left where you find them. Seeing you just walk away when she does something for you shatters her. Love her, hate her, anything! Just don't ignore her!! Without you, she has nothing to live for... Please... Don't leave her behind. Through her tears, her agony turns to desperation.

● You can't get rid of her. She won't let you. Maybe... it's time for you to meet.

The Boss Lady

● You've been working under her for the last few years. She's powerful, she's beautiful, and so very, very intimidating. She gets what she wants, no matter who she has to step on. She seems to have locked onto you for some reason, having you run and get her things and having you stay and work overtime.

● She seems to like running you ragged and seeing you flustered. You have half a mind to believe that she’s been “accidentally” brushing up against you reaching for files or leaning to talk in your ear as you sit at your desk, her charming, sultry voice sending shivers up your spine. Your damn body is betraying you. You don’t want to think that damn tyrant is attractive! Your coworkers are jealous that you're spending so much time with her, but you think they'd think twice if they were the ones picking up her dry cleaning and coffee orders, day in and day out. You tell a coworker you'd quit, but you need the money too much.

● One day, she calls you into her office. She says she has a proposition for you. She wants you to be her executive assistant. It comes with great benefits and a HUGE pay raise. The work will be harder, sure, but you'd have to be an idiot to say no. But the conditions get more specific and odd. You would accompany her on all her business trips, eat all your meals with her, you'd even be living in her penthouse suite. At first, you think it's just a weirdly intensive position, she just needs someone to manage her life. But the way she's looking at you... it's like she wants to possess you entirely.

● All you can think to ask is, why you? There's a bored look on her face as she starts talking about her career. How her job and climbing the corporate ladder were the only things she put any effort into. Everything else was so tedious and dull. Until you started as an intern, dropping off her coffee order with that nervous smile. She started noticing how hard you work, how you never turn down her requests, how you try to hide your smile when she praises you... How your breath hitches when her hand brushes yours. And how, every day when you clock out, her world stagnates until she sees you again.

● Say yes, and you'll have everything you could ever want. But make no mistake, you'll be hers. And she has no plans to let you go.
