Prayer against wrongdoers
Inspired by the writings in the temple of Edfu
Sekhmet, lady of red, lady of pestilence, grab the hearts of the evildoers with your claws and breath the flame of death and despair into the fighters of Isfet. O’ Sekhmet, the one who destests those who go against maat, tear them into shreds so they may never get a trial. Let them wander for all of eternity, starved and forgotten of any fame, of any legacy. Let your fire consume them eating them away for all of eternity, tormenting their minds until they are forgotten ash in the wind. Let them touch no tongue, no throat, no lungs to cleanse us of their evil.
O’ Sekhmet, lady of maat, let us forget them so we may be righteous and untouched of their wrongs. Let us live in the glory of the gods of maat, full of purity.
Sekhmet, lady of terror, defeat the evil and let peace reign into the hearts of those who are pure. Rip of the evil out of our surroundings! Burn it to dust! Burn it to dust! Burn it to dust! Kill the wrongdoers and let them return to nothing! O’ Sekhmet, the dreadful one, sink your teeth and claws into them, letting their wails fuel you for more.
Spare me, the kindred one, for I am a solider of maat! I live my life in the image of Re! I have consumed maat! I speak with truth! Spare me on this day and spare the others that have devoted themselves to maat!

Prayer to Wadjet
Praise to you and praise be your life force, O’ Great Wadjet, the blazing cobra. You are the one who creates the light, as you defend your father. You are the magnificent one, the beautiful uraeus. Praise to you, Queen Wadjet of the Two Lands. You encircle all, you protect all. You’re the goddess of life, the sustainer who gives us our very breath.
Your power, your fire, your breath opens the day for all of us to see. Dispel all darkness, as we praise you and your father, Re, and let the body of Nuit reopen for a new day to come and let us be fruitful. It’s your brilliance that glows in the dark, leading the way for him to travel through. The gods beacon you forth and bow before you because we wouldn’t exist without you leading during the darkness, fighting off anything that dare gets in the way of our survival. We all call to you, even the primordial one, to fight back any evil that threatens maat. Burn all evil and see how the world trembles in awe at your strength.

Prayer to Wadjet
Inspired by the ‘Spell to cause <his> majesty to unite with the sun disc in the horizon in the Temple of Hathor in Dendera
How beautiful is your appearance when you ascend into the western horizon, standing on the bow of the solar barque.
How beautiful is your appearance when you arise as the moon in the night, letting the glow bless these lands with your light.
How beautiful is your appearance, Mistress of the Stars, when your embers spark out into the sky.
How beautiful is your appearance as you glow in the night.
How beautiful is your appearance as you strike at evil incarnate, bringing the enemies to fall.
How beautiful is your appearance when you rise from the eastern horizon, standing tall and victorious on top of Re’s head.
How beautiful is your appearance as you create the rays for the lands.
How beautiful is your appearance as you travel through the skies, Lady of Life.

Nefertum
Offerings:
Water, milk, wine, beer. Meat, bread, honey, fruits, vegetables, nuts
Perfumes
Lotus is sacred to him, as that’s how he emerged from the primordial waters. You could offer him iconography of lotus flowers or lotus tea
Ankh, was scepter, Udjat eye (eye of Horus)
Weapons but specifically a mace, sickle swords, knives, scimitar/curved sword, whips.
Devotional Acts:
Making perfumes with him or mixing different scents when making something (candles, soaps, etc.)
Growing and/or harvesting lotus flowers
Run with him. One of his epithets is ‘the speedy/runner of the gods.’
Signs:
Nefertum usually appears as a child; however he can appear with a donkey head, lion, bull, ram, falcon, or snake. He can be seen holding scorpions and a snake. Any of these animalsay start appearing to you more frequently, or even the image of young children or mummies (he can be seen in mummy wrappings/gauze).
The lotus bloom is very sacred to him, so you may see these flowers or the symbol of them appearing.
You may find yourself staring at the horizon more often or being drawn to it’s beauty. (Specifically sunrise, where he’s ‘young Atum’ or the newborn sun)
You may find yourself feeling safe or being protected from harm. Bad things and people may fall away from you, along with any other form of evil.

Invocation of Wepset
Close your eyes and clear your mind. Set your intention in mind as you call forth this goddess. Know that when you speak her name, it is her that you are inviting into your space. Take a deep breath and begin when you’re ready to. Speak clearly- it doesn’t need to be loud, it doesn’t need to be quiet. Just enunciate your words as you call her into your space
Offerings are appreciated, and a greater incentive for her to show- you may leave an athame, a knife, meat, bread, water, wine, etc. Do what feels right for you. Incense, candles, essential oils, or perfumes are encouraged- if you cannot light candles or you have scent sensitivities, you may use an electric/battery powered candle and that’s a perfectly fine replacement. (Frankincense, myrrh, and kyphi are great)
Feel free to mess around and make your own invocations! Take what you want from here and make your own! She doesn’t have a lot of recorded epithets, which makes things a bit tricky, but you can make up your own or borrow epithets from other goddesses who have similar roles (which is what I have done here). All you have to do is just use her name and some epithets, run with the rest if you wish to!
Wepset.
Wepset.
Wepset.
Great Goddess, Eye of Re, Lady of Burning. You are the one who fights for Re, who vanquishes Apophis in the night while he rides his barque through the Duat. You are the one who guards the gates in the Duat, not allowing anything to pass through. You are the Great Protector, who would do anything for the King and his heirs. Lay down your knives as I call you forth. I call out to you, Mistress of Bigga, to invite you for [whatever reason]. I call out to you, Mistress of the Beginning, to seek your company, to invoke your wisdom, to hear your word. Wepset, the Great, the Mighty, the Powerful. Come to me, now.
Wepset.

Mafdet
Epithets
Killer of serpents
Avenger of the king
Great cat
Mistress/lady of the house of life
Mistress of the executive device
Areas of worship
Mafdet has no known cults
Offerings
ankh, water, bread, milk, meat
Information
Mafdet may have originated as a mongoose goddess in the first dynasty. Her iconography is heavily debated and theories have called her a mongoose, cheetah, panther, ocelot, civet, or a genet. While we don’t know what she is, we do know in the Greco-Roman period she can be seen as a lion-headed serpent.
Westendorf brings forth the hypothesis that Mafdet actually originated in Predynastic Egypt, where she had a role in the death cult and she could cause the death of the King due to a possible connection to fate. He believes this is why she fell out of popularity because the King wanted power over the gods. She may have fallen out of popularity with the king but she was still invoked in rituals to utilize her strength and to destroy evil.
Furthermore, Mafdet is the executioner or punisher in the afterlife with the dual role of protecting the pharaoh (in life and in death). Her sharp claws- which were likened to knives- would butcher the enemies of Re and could rip out the heart of A/pophis. Her claws would also carve out the eyes of evil snakes that threatened the deceased pharaoh because she was responsible for his well-being.

Creative writing as an offering to Gengen Wer
Gengen’s “creation myth”
The lord who awoke maat with his honking call laid within the primordial egg in the beginning.
His song pierced the air, alighting the world with his joy as he awoke. His heart emitted the warmth of the sun only for it bloom from the lotus as he opened his eyes. He plucked the petals from the lotus, crafting them onto the sun creating his wings.
Negeg shook out his feathers, cascading them into the water to create the primordial mound for him to rest upon with his son.
Then he spoke “What a lovely pillow to lay upon within Nun, thus I create the first land of comfort.”
With colors ablaze he took flight with the sun, painting the cosmos in the likeness of his heart, his love imbued into the nether. The sun and the goose honked in delight, building the world with their joy- Amun, the invisible one, came forth from his call. Another emerged hereafter, then another, then another, until eight gods sat with the Goose and the Sun: Amun and Amunet, Nu and Naunet, Kek and Kauket, Heh and Hauhet.
Negeg, the lord of speech, spoke their names into existence on the great mound of feathery goodness.
It is then when the Eight, the Ogdoad as they were named, spoke:
“O lord who made us, the feathered one, praise to you,
Father of the gods, our father, who crafted us.
Your chatter made our names which we didn’t know.
How excellent is your love to hatch us forth.
You made our nest upon which we may rest.
Your love sparked warmth and daylight for us all, sparing us from eternity of darkness.
You are the sole god, who hatched the beginning, who flew across eternity, downing the waters with your feathers for us to waddle upon.
Great Honker who awoke maat, you gave us the breath of life that we may stand upon.
Praise to you, great one, Negeg!”
Hearing the great Eight gods speak brought forth such joy from the Sun god that when his tears fell upon the Great Mound they sprung forth people.
Negeg danced in delight, lifting his wings and blowing the color of life into the people’s lungs.

Prayer to Gengen Wer
He who hatched from Nu,
The lively goose, Negeg.
His chatter awoke maat, his call awoke the sun.
He crafted the wings of the solar bird and took flight into the dark
The sun lit up the world as the two called for love and joy to reign.
He crafted the heavens, the earth, and the underworld with his colorful image.
He is the creator, the craftsman, who created everything to his liking.
His delight brought forth the Ogdoad, the rulers of Khemenu, building them one feather at a time.
He took the petals of the sun to create the horns in which the sun sits upon.
He took the sun’s rays to sculpt the uraeus that protects the sun.
Negeg, the one who lives and breathes with every flutter of his wings.
His heart is maat, his chatter is maat, his breath is maat. This is what he has granted humans and gods.
Maat is gifted to those he loves and in which he’ll guard, building protections of pure fire to defend the light of those inside his nest.

Amun
Offerings
Water, wine, milk, beer, coffee, juice
Meat, bread, honey, fruits, vegetables, nuts, chocolate, caramel, cakes and other sweets. Herbs, as well, whether you’re cooking with them or for others reasons.
Frankincense and myrrh, lavender, eucalyptus, chamomile, cedar, and fresh smells are great for incense, candles, essential oils, or perfume.
As the warrior and the fighter- you can offer him workout equipment. Also, if you’re into any martial arts or anything of the like- you can offer him your belts, gear, metals, etc. Weapons like bow and arrows, and knives are good, too!
You may offer him the ankh, was scepter, the year panicle, crook and flail, ram horns. You may also offer him figurines, drawings, or imagery of him or his scared animals like the ram, bull, cobra, lion, sphinx, goose, baboon, crocodile, frogs, or falcon. You may also offer him imagery of the sun, wind (think starry night swirls), water, or the world.
Devotional Acts
Create! Amun is a creator god from the Ogdoad creation mythos.Do whatever you want- make up a song, make up a dance, write, draw, do anything you want, but just create. Bring it to life. Nurture it and let it grow into something beautiful.
Acts of maat. Learn, grow your knowledge. Become an active part of your community. Advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves- fight for the rights of people!
Do some breathing techniques or do some breath work. You can even do this while meditating, just focus on your breathing while you do so. Feel your lungs expand and focus on the control of your breath. Or just go outside and enjoy the wind on your face/in your hair.
Be sneaky. Learn how to be a ‘fox.’ Practice your slight of hand or your ability to pick pocket (don’t actually steal anything from anybody!). Practice something like magic to help in this department, or just practice some card tricks because he is the hidden god.
Stand up for yourself, set boundaries, and carry your head held high. Amun is still linked with the pharaoh so you can also build your business and leadership skills.
Signs
You may also see any of his scared symbols or animals- including the bull, ram, goose, frog, ankh, or the sun (not a full extensive list). You may also see imagery of royal insignia like the crown or throne.
You may seen yourself becoming more drawn to the sunrise and sunset- or catching yourself looking at the sky during these times. Amun is associated with both cardinal directions and later he was submerged into Amun-Ra (a god associated with the life giving aspects of the sun).
You may feel the wind pick up around you, or you can feel his embrace through the breeze.
You may also feel hidden from any evils or protected from them when he’s around. You’ll feel like nobody evil can touch you, and you’ll see that their words become lost to the winds. If evil has been done to you, you may see justice done.
You may also find yourself thinking before speaking. Amun is the Lord of Silence and a Lord of Maat, so you may find yourself hesitating before lashing out and giving your words a second thought before you hurt another with unjust words.
