I need to make that more prevalent in my own Mareach art. I've seen quite a bit of "Peach thinks this short silly man is hot", and that's also good, but his fatness is rarely ever taken into consideration. And I believe that's also an important part of her attraction to him

I've mentioned this once or twice but frankly if your Mareach meta does not make a point of how Peach thinks Mario being fat is crazy hot well it's not even Mareach to me it's like. Your lame ocs

Always rubs me the wrong way seeing certain people being extremely critical and hateful towards Kevin Afghani. Just because he doesn't sound exactly like Charles Martinet.

As if the only criteria to a good Mario voice is that it needs to sound like Charles Martinet.

Look, I adore Charles like the next Mario fan, and of course his voice is incredibly iconic. So yeah, of course people aren't gonna react well to any kind of change whatsoever.

But I think people need to be more open minded. I think capturing the spirit of the character is a lot more important than just sounding like this one guy. And based on what I've heard playing through Brothership and Wonder, Kevin nails that spirit of Mario.

We don't acknowledge enough how insane it is that Mario is the most recognizable videogame character of all time cause in concept he is not some hypermarketable cartoon mascot, he is an italian man, he is a plumber guy. He IS cartoony and has a very distinct design but do you get what I mean, so many mascot characters try to have these unique designs that can make them marketable but Mario just had games that were really good and revolutionary and it made him who he is, but in all accounts this should not have worked as well as it did. We really live in an universe where the cartoon italian plumber guy is the symbol of videogames

sorry to have to tell you this but if a stranger comes to your inbox or slides in your DMs asking you for your money with some sob story, no matter how tragic and convincing the story is, they are a scammer — especially if the story is obviously copied and pasted, formatted in the exact same way as the other 100 bots in your inbox

Yeah we got ourselves another attention grifter. And some of the pieces are algorithm generated, so that makes them more of a grifter.

I'll alert any artists with tumblr accounts that had their work stolen by this cheapskate... as well as double it as an artist showcase.
