From the mid-'90s boom of creative and overtly emotional music that still resonates today, this record is one i hold high as an underrated masterpiece. It's one i could recommend to so many different friends with diverse taste. 12 minutes are worth it. Second side starts off with such a Trumans Water vibe it just hits. Banger.

I put Slew Dem last because it is THE goat of the entire series. The thing hits top to bottom. I've listened to this more than almost anything else. "I see your whip, and now I'm drawing it." When Tempa T comes in part way through, things get messy as fuck. And it's a masterpiece. One of the best tapes in modern history. Grimetapes.com , i AM pleading to you that you just share 5% of the recordings you've sat on. This is still some of my favourite.

Ambush - Violeure

This is a forever favourite song. I still cry openly when it comes on. I cut my teeth in community radio with a friend who shared this as an all-timer. I feel like i've written about this before, because our mutual appreciation for this song was strong, and when he took his own life, i had to stop listening for awhile. Listening today and i still think it's one of the best punk songs in existence. RIP Matt. You were loved.

So i can finally buy a new computer. For music making primarily. Plus i like writing and watching too. I need to know the best computer to buy for music making with 2 grand. It's confusing.

Haven’t been able to sleep for the last two nights. Awake just now thinking about this interaction between Gabor Maté and an extremely hateful person. If one day i could come close to his level of humanity and compassion, i might be close to something decent. Terrified that i don’t have enough emotional strength..
