I feel like 90% of the interactions between wu suo wei and chi cheng is just wu suo wei talking absolute rubbish and chi cheng looking at him like nothing else exists in that moment

The drama, the tension, the plot, the characters, everything was on point!

Chris and Pete are so interesting this ep when they’re actually talking and it’s not just Pete wanting to fuck Chris.

~Quick theory~

I’m 15 mins into ep 8 but I wanna quickly throw out some theories for the experiment test subject:

So far I feel like I’ve been wrong abt my theories of why Alan goes to Tony

But I think it could be that because they’ve got no test subject for the trial experiment, Alan goes to get powers from Tony so he can be the test subject

Or

They use Kenta as the test subject when they get him back from being kidnapped by Tony. We’ve seen in Jeff’s vision that Kenta gets experimented on by Tony (I’m assuming to give him alpha powers). So this could be where this storyline goes

Charlie is so deeply fucked up by growing up in that compound

He doesn’t always make the best decisions, but he makes the decisions that he believes will best help the situation

It just so happens that Charlie’s brain runs on a logic of placing himself below everyone else’s needs that he more often than not ends up hurting the people he’s trying to protect

He saw his brother in pain from his evolving powers and decided that the best plan to stop Jeff’s pain would be to get rid of his powers. And so he used his own powers to absorb Jeff’s ones, despite Jeff being fully against this in the past

Charlie saw a way that he could help Jeff and so he took it without hesitating

He didn’t think beyond the plan (a common theme) because in his mind, he was the only one suffering. He didn’t take the time to think of how this would impact Jeff or babe because he still struggles to see how his own suffering would hurt the people around him that care about him

And so we end up with situations like in ep 8 where now, because Charlie took on Jeff’s powers, the experimentations they’ve been doing at the lab are basically useless. And so to keep going they’ll have to restart the experiments from scratch

Babe never wanted Charlie to be doing these experiments to begin with and now Charlie, in a self sacrificing act to help his brother has only ended up doing more bad than good

Charlie loves his family so much but to start to solve these reoccurring issues between the people he loves, he’s going to have to start addressing his upbringing and the impacts it has clearly had on him
