Robin Buckley hcs
Hi :) here's a list of things that I think are Robin's character headcanons.
(this is just my personal opinion)
Her mother would want her to be a little more ""girly"" and tries to forces her to wear dresses on the occasional family lunches or stuff on Sundays;
she inherited her goofiness and her continuos rambling by her father;
Her father is a teacher of some sort and her mother's a housemaid;
She daydreams a lot like there are entire fics in her head about her and her crush (you);
She has dog;
She blushes everytime you accidentally touch her and she tries to avoid contact with you bc she knows that it'll freak her out (but secretely she knows she wants that);
Daydreams about kissing you and how and when it'll happen (there are entire scenarios in this girls head);
Talks about you to Steve always and listens to an heartbreaking song that he now hates.
And that's all folks! I hope you enjoyed! <3

Yes!!!
Natalie Portman and Taika Watiti hyping up the new Thor movie as “so gay” and “super gay” respectively JUST before the premier screening only for the plot to revolve all around Thor and Jane’s relationship is so extremely fucking funny

Сжигание (Szhiganiye)
this is my first writing I'm posting on tumblr and frankly idk what I'm doing. I just appreciate how writing can really dig claws into a character's mind in a way that visual media can't. this is literally just the Steve/Robin confession scene in s3 e7 of Stranger Things but make it pretty.
no warnings or tags or anything, 968 words yes one number away from the funny number I'm sorry
Сжигание (Szhiganiye)
Those words. Of course they felt nice. They’re the nicest thing anybody that’s not her mom has said since Dominic Baxter had a crush on her in 4th grade.
But that’s the problem. It’s the same thing. It’s the same reasoning. His words started as a warm fire and spread to a burning wildfire all over her body. Her belly, specifically. She wasn’t sure if she was going to puke again from the drugs or the lava in the pit of her stomach.
Steve was nice to her. He was good to her. She saw this coming halfway through the summer, and she tried so hard. She tried her hardest to like him back. His stupid hair, his downturned yet bright eyes, his tall frame. There wasn’t anything to dislike about him. Not in theory.
She tried to get jealous. Jealous at the girls that would come in, that he would flirt with. She thought that if she felt jealous, then maybe that meant she liked him. The problem is that green didn’t seem to be her color. She couldn’t hate the girls-- not for that reason anyway. Robin hated them for coming in with their 5 friends and ordering 3 scoops each.
Yet Steve made those orders bearable. She wasn’t sure when it happened, but she stopped trying to like him. And it came naturally. Just not in the way she wanted. When she started to truly like him as a person, as a friend, she thought, “now I wait”. Because all of her “friends” (more like the girls around her) never had boy friends without pushing the words together. They would never even be friends in the first place, they would just flirt and then hook up. She knew of no one who was just friends with the opposite gender. So, she figured that maybe this would finally happen.
It didn’t.
She waited and waited. Waited for the day “he’s an idiot” would turn into “he’s a beauty”. Waited for him to look at her and for her to say oh. Waited for the butterflies to appear in her stomach.
They didn’t.
It only further confirmed that inkling, made that little piece of rot in her brain fester more. But at this point, how could she hate him? She did fall in love with him, but not in the way she wanted to, not in the way he fell for her.
Robin was still alive. At least, she thought so. Everything was spinning again. Her breath was shallow. But she was breathing nonetheless. He slid under the stall frame and met her eyes. His bruised, bloodied, swollen face was concerned, but somehow never held any grain of nervousness. He was probably so used to getting what he wanted. She was scared to finally tell him no.
But it was him.
It was Steve.
It was the boy that she fell in love with: the boy that laughed too hard at her jokes, the boy that became a nerd for his middle school friend. The boy that got beaten up and nearly killed just to save his friends. She didn’t fall in love with the prick she saw in high school, King Steve.
She knew him better than anyone else seemed to (other than that Henderson kid). When you spend a whole summer scooping ice cream together, then getting beaten up by Russians together, you tend to gain at least some sort of trust.
Robin tells him the truth. She does like him. Maybe the drugs were still in her system. She’s a foul being. She’s a disgusting, wretched girl.
Maybe she did get jealous once in a while.
“Steve.”
---
“Oh.”
The light turned on. The pieces connected. He could see the full picture. Whatever it is you want to call it, it happened.
The words she said were true. He knew she was in her right mind because it was right for her to call him a douchebag. She got one thing wrong though-- he still was a douchebag. He was a dick. How could he dump all of this on her?
But how could he know? How could he know that she was a-- he internally cursed himself. This doesn’t change anything though, right?
That’s the problem. It didn’t. He still found her incredible. He still was in love with her. He wanted to hold her and tell her that it would be okay. He wanted to protect her from all the things he’s seen. The whole summer flashed in his mind: every time she’d laugh, every time she’d call him a moron, every time he’d feel heat rise to his cheeks. That was his summer. His summer had been him falling, falling, falling for a girl that didn’t like him. That didn’t even like his species.
But his summer was also the way she looked at him. The way he would find her mumbling to herself in the back room. The way she cracked a Russian code. She, again, spoke the truth when she said she liked him-- she did. But not in the way he liked her.
Steve’s stomach was in knots the whole time he spilled it to her. He knew how to feign confidence though, he’d been doing it since 8th grade. Maybe there was a selfish part of him that figured he could get her if he tried hard enough. A little leftover residue from Douchebag Steve.
He wasn’t that man anymore though. He was hardly a man. He was a boy in love, a boy with feelings, a boy that wanted to change.
But he wouldn’t change how he saw her or how highly he thought of her.
In fact, now he could finally talk to someone about the girls in their class.
He loved her.
She loved him.
