The concept of someone seeing how you came back wrong, how you're a "monster" now, and being like that's the coolest thing I've ever seen...there's literally no possible situation where Falin isn't loved and valued is there that's just not possible no matter what

People who get so heated about the toshiro-laois fight that they think toshiro genuinely hates laois are incredibly silly to me like. yes laois gets on his nerves and the fight came about because toshiro let a lot of annoyance simmer for a LONG time instead of expressing his feelings but once that tension resolves through their stupid fight he is able to see more clearly and realise he does not HATE laois, he ENVIES him. It just seems like such a blatantly obvious part of his character that people just can't grasp for some reason?? You don't hate someone and then talk to them about your unsaid feeling for his sister and give him a bell to ring if he needs you. You can dislike whatever characters you want but I can't stand when people mischaracterise characters to such a huge extent. Learn some basic media literacy.

Senshi making sure during the entire episode that Shuro's plate of food doesn't fall to the floor was one of the more quietly hilarious parts of the episode

*GRABBING YOU* HEY. HEY LOOK AT ME. SHURO DOESN'T HATE LAIOS FOR THE SAME THINGS HE LOVES FALIN FOR OKAY? OKAY? IT'S IMPORTANT TO ME YOU KNOW THAT ALRIGHT. IT'S IMPORTANT YOU KNOW LAIOS AND FALIN AREN'T THE SAME JUST GENDER SWAPPED ALRIGHT? Shuro hates (hates a strong word for it honestly but it's the simplest to use) Laios because he himself was raised to know and rely on subtle social cues and etiquettes that Laios doesn't pick up on while doing the opposite: being very outspoken and unknowingly making things awkward in some situations. THATS WHAT SHURO HATES. We see that Falin while still very weird in her own right is much more conscious of peoples feelings and social cues which Shuro appreciates. SHURO DOESN'T HATE LAIOS FOR LIKING MONSTERS AND WEIRD THINGS AND LOVE FALIN FOR THE SAME HE HATES LAIOS BECAUSE HE DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THE ONLY WAY SHURO KNOWS HOW TO COMMUNICATE BOUNDARIES AND SHURO IS BAFFLED BY IT CONSTANTLY.

Ok, we've all seen the polls asking which of Hob Gadling's "looks" through time is the most attractive, but which era of Hob Gadling do you find the most intriguing, as in you could watch an entire episode about what his life is like in just that century?

I totally get the “haha, Laios can only draw monsters” take but in this case, it’s a bit more than that.

Yes, laios could not draw human and that’s probably his best attempt at drawing Falin, the person he’s most close with. But the badly drawn chimera body? That’s just because it was his first time seeing Falin in that form. There’s no monster manual to study from. No reference, no practice. He can only rely on what he sees in the (very chaotic) moment. It’s most likely his best attempt at putting other similar monster pieces he knows together in an attempt to make sense of her anatomy.

While on the other hand, his cerberus is phenomenal BECAUSE he has studied it, have references for it and time to practice drawing it. He is a good artist. He just need to see Falin’s chimera body a few more times and it would probably be at the same level as his cerberus drawing (except the Falin part).

He's practiced this one. In fact, it's not even particularly necessary for the explanation he's giving. But why not draw it?

the whole point of a zine is that it's cheap to produce, amateur and homemade. if you're being asked to apply to participate in a print project, it is not a zine. if the final product is being printed and bound professionally, it is not a zine. if you are being asked to enter into any kind of licensing agreement more complex than "my work can be reproduced as part of this publication" it is not a zine. nine times put of ten if the final product costs more than $5 you have left zine country. im so serious about this.
