Is it OK if I use this when I question why Brock was suddenly the “final” straw because this is excellent
Thank you!
Fans kept watching WWE after Owen Hart fell to his death and Vince continued the show and made the boys wrestle in the ring he died in, people kept watching WWE after Chris Benoit murdered Nancy and their 7 year old son Daniel. There are fans who watch old Jerry Lawler and Ric Flair matches and they're just as bad sex pests. Some fans still like to look back fondly on Jimmy Snuka matches after knowing he killed a woman and Vince covered it up for him. And not long ago, pretty much all the memories shared regarding Hulk Hogan.
Exactly. Not to mention every promotion is toxic and problematic.
There's no ethical way to consume content.
None.
Thank you @cuidadolpu

You’re not. Separate art and artist, if needed, especially the ones who aren’t Brock.
There’s no ethical way to consume content. Everyone is problematic. Everyone.
If you watch WWE from now on, or ever watch it in your life again, are you now a horrible human being who is canceled and a misogynist and abuse apologist? Serious question.

I thought we left cancel culture behind in 2020 hopefully this goes away like when they tried to cancel Sami after Mania 🤷🏽♀️

I appreciate this response. But in all honesty, there is absolutely no ethical way to consume any content.
You suggested to never watch pro wrestling.
Let’s watch movies—oh wait produced by Weinstein and classics are directed by Polanski and Allen.
How about sports—oh yikes there’s sexists, racists, and homophobes.
Let me just watch paint dry—oh wait the CEO of Acme Paint company has allegations.
There’s a singer I was a fan of for 10 years and had to just act like he never existed due to a lie. He saved my life.
This is my 20th anniversary being a wrestling fan and now I have to just throw it away? And people spin it as “oh so what Brock did is OK?”
Of course not. As you’re typing on an iPhone made from child labor in a country run by a convicted felon.
So if I cheer on Naomi, I’m a bad person? As she helped me with some dark times in my life?
Unless you stop ALL consumption of entertainment, don’t shop anywhere, you’re a hypocrite if you attack people if they still like WWE. And this will probably get me hate and death threats again but the sad reality is there is no ethical way to consume content. The other promotions are also horrible. Are they as bad as Brock? No. But to say one crime is OK but another isn’t makes no sense to me.
There is no ethical way to consume content. Everyone and everything is problematic. The sooner we all realize that the better. We can only encourage companies don’t hire convicted felons and speaking up keeps bad people locked away.
If you watch WWE from now on, or ever watch it in your life again, are you now a horrible human being who is canceled and a misogynist and abuse apologist? Serious question.

Happy 20 years to me being a wrestling fan!!
Eddie Guerrero faced Rey Mysterio in a Ladder match for custody of Dominik.
During the match, Dominik attempted to prevent Eddie from winning the match.
In the end, Vickie Guerrero prevented Eddie Guerrero from grabbing the case, allowing Rey Mysterio to win the match. (Summerslam 8/21/2005)
