It's been almost 5 years now since I first discovered TAPZ. Scouring though hundreds of music blogs searching for new and upcoming musicians for my own blog that I had started as a class project. I happened to stumble onto a mixtape that he had recently released, I'm not sure what it was but I immediately knew that there was something special about him. I wrote a post about him and the mixtape and posted it. He responded back thanking me for the kind words. This led to us chatting back and forth, I told him way back then that "I truly believed he was going to be a star and his music would reach so many people and change their lives."

We've kept in touch ever since, I've had the amazing opportunity through the years to listen to new songs he was working on, talk about upcoming projects or meetings that he was having. I've continued to tell him though out the years the same thing I said when we first chatted, and to keep up all the hard work.

It's been such an amazing experience getting to become friends with someone who I knew immediately knew had some special about them, but even more so after getting to know him someone who I looked up too as a person. All the hard work, determination, and hours spent in the studio is paying off. I could not be more proud or happy for you TAPZ!

He is 1 of 5 musicians (alongside Lorde) nominated for the Best New Zealand Act at the MTV EMA London awards! It takes almost no time at all, but would mean so much to me if you would go and vote for him.

I’d also recommend that you take the time to go through and listen to all his music, and then do the same for TAPZ. We live in an amazing and crazy world where not everything is for certain, but I’m absolutely certain these two artists are going to take the world by storm.

Pamen Pereira is a contemporary and multidisciplinary artist born in Ferrol, Spain in 1963. 

Her interdisciplinary work moves around sculpture, installation and sometimes photography or video, or just anything unrelated that is useful for specifying the creative act. Without leaving the solitude of the workshop as a place of reflection and study where she meets the most intimate, her current work focuses on site-specific installations and interventions, which defends the important function of the poetic image for society and, this way, art’s social character.
