Soldier Poet Queen

Summary:

Scar is Princess Grian's assigned bodyguard, but when she's off duty and healing from a career-ending injury, she must find and rescue the princess.

My Notes: Yuri Scarian!! We so need more of this. Really nice, very sweet, tore out my heart.

Strawberry Jam (That sticks us together)

Summary:

“Fine, but don't burn down the house okay?” Scar nods happily, and continues toasting bread. The bread was cut into small square-like shapes, “Grian,” He turned to Grian after a moment, "Peanut butter or jelly on your toast?”

Grian thinks about it for a moment, a pondering expression on his face. Hard choice, Grian liked both types, “Hm, I’ll talk jelly,”

Or Grian and Scar are different hybrids, and try to court each other. It goes pretty well despite the miscommunication.

My Notes: They’re very silly and hopelessly in love. Great fic, love scarian being ridiculous.

Ghost AU Background Info/Lore

I… meant to post this ages ago, back when I first posted the fic, but I finally now got around to.

I made quite a bit of lore for my ghost AU (A Haunting Desire) and I couldn’t fully lore dump, just minorly in places. So this “fic” is just explaining a bunch of the lore and some of the ghost hunting equipment.

I’ll update upon posting new fics or if someone asks about something that fits for it.

Fancreators who never plan to use AI: what is your primary reason?

I have zero trust in the hit system at this point too. My history says I’ve looked at fics a certain amount of times while I very much haven’t, so yeah, I have complex feelings about them which leads to me not caring about what that number is.

So please, if you like a fic interact with it in any way that the author knows you liked it. Bookmark, kudos, comments, just anything to last them know you liked it.

Checking my kudos email every day always brings me joy, no matter how many it is because it means that at least someone found and liked my fic. I have similar feelings about comments, always amazing to read them. I cannot fathom the idea of people not liking being spammed with comments, if someone liked my fic enough to spam comments then that’s awesome.

So, yeah, if you like a fic, tell the author that. Whether it’s simple and small or a long detailed comment/taglist.

I really don't understand how "without getting kudos or comments a fanfiction author is going to assume that people who clicked their fic didn't like it" became a controversial take.

I don't know why some people think an author should imagine, or guess that people who click their fic enjoyed it it when nobody is telling them that.

If you're re-reading a fic constantly, or leaving it up in your tab so that it re-loads every day for a hundred days the author is not going to know that unless you tell them. They'd love to hear it. It would make their day.

And if you don't tell them you liked their fic, there's no reason for them to assume you did.

Adding on, Grian did say he was considering trapping Scar in cobwebs to let his snail get him. So, it was pretty close to 4 seasons.

And yeah, Scar just has a lot less care about making sure he hunger/health is filled on Hermitcraft. Death isn’t exactly a problem on Hermitcraft so it’s pretty fair to not care about dying a lot. Or have less care about staying alive. He’s good at keeping himself alive when dying actually matters.

I do still go insane about the end of SL. Like. In 3/4 of the past seasons he both killed Scar and killed the winner. He had no qualms with interrupting Scott and Martyn’s winner monologues, yet Scar? The person who he’s taken out of the series more then not, is the one he spares that fate. He left Scar’s fate in his own hands, that could be poetic I suppose. Scar was the first winner since 3rd Life to have a say in how his final life goes. (And even then, everyone was chanting for Grian’s death…)

…I truly rambled there. I just have a lot of thoughts about this topic, lol

tbf rather than a skill issue i think the main reasons for scar's absurd amount of deaths in hermitcraft are:

hes always walking around low on hearts without eating

he rarely wears armour, only shoes

grian

and he's more careful on the life series, so only one of those is truly a problem!

Punctuating Dialogue
