Allan looked at the house for a moment, one that he walked away from almost a year ago. It had been ten months since he last saw Erica, last even stepped foot in town. But of course he kept up with the town. He wasn’t the same man that left this place. Moving over to the door, he raised his hand and knocked on it. Waiting for her to answer, he was here to sign the papers now that everything was figured out with the lawyers. Honestly he didn’t ask for anything, Erica could have it all. Especially with all the pain that he had caused her. He took off his hat as he waited for her to answer. And when he did, he looked up at her. “Erica..”

Erica sighed, looking up at him. He really didn’t have to do anything. “Look… everything with us was… a mess in the end. I… well, I don’t get it, and I’m really hurt… but thanks.” For apologising or whatever. She was tired of fighting.
“And that is my fault.” Allan admitted, looking down at her for a moment. “I did love you. And I still do. I always will probably.” He admitted softly. “But I also know that we can’t go back or start over.” Reaching out, he took her hand. “I’m going to leave, Baberton Erica.”

“If you’re sure.” Erica sighed, watching him a little sadly. Everything had fallen apart so quickly, it was scary.
“I am sure.” Allan told her softly, moving over to the papers he had on the table. Signing them before making his way back over to Erica. “I didn’t fight for anything. It’s all yours. I’m sorry for everything. I want you to be happy.”

Allan shook his head a little bit. This was hard enough on both of them it seemed. “No. You shouldn’t have to leave, Erica. I should be the one leaving.” Considering what he had done. Yeah, he should be the one going not her. “You stay here and I’ll find a place sooner or later.” The B&B was fine for him until he figured out his next move. Rather it was here or somewhere else.

“I think that is everything..” Allan wasn’t even sure what he was going to do for work now. But he would figure it out sooner or later. He had been staying at the Bed and Breakfast. And just now collecting his stuff. “I don’t want to feel like you have to leave. It should be this way. It should be me.” He glanced at the band on his finger for a moment.

“There is nothing for you to apologize for. I was an adult. I knew you were married.”
“Which I should have stopped it. But I wanted you just like you wanted me. But I don’t regret what happened. We got Bethany.”

“Just a little bit.” Allan sighed lightly, looking over at the blonde for a moment. Shaking his head some. “No it’s okay. Thanks for umm--I guess wanting to struck up a conversation with me.”

“You look a little sad down there.” Isabella couldn’t help but comment, though she only really recognised who he was a few moments later and shook her head, lifting her glass to her lips to have a sip. “Sorry.” He probably wanted to be left alone.

“Well, it looks like you’ve had seven years.” She snapped. Erica shook her head, turning to throw some things into a bag. “Allan, that’s bullshit, alright?” She sighed. “Face it, we haven’t been able to say five words to each other unless we’re at some fucking event for god knows how long now.” She wanted to cry but she did her best to just hold it in… she couldn’t fall apart, she’d done it too many times already. She moved over to her handbag and pulled out an envelope, turning and throwing it at him. Out of it spilled the pictures she’d been sent from -A, only now she knew who the woman was. “At least now I know who the slut is.” Erica started crying, annoyed at herself and turning away from him to wipe angrily at her eyes. She should have left when she got those pictures, right? “Work what out? What do we even have left? You gave it all away to that fucking job and that twenty-something intern..”
“You are right. Okay? About everything. I had seven years to tell you and I just didn’t know how.” Allan told her. He deserved this, he really did. And he didn’t blame Erica for hating him. Hell he hated himself for letting things get this far. He should have just told everyone from the start. But he just didn’t know how. “So let’s fucking fix that, alright. Let’s just changed all of this shit and start fixing it instead of letting it remain broken.” When she tossed the envelope, he seen the photos drop out and he bent over and picked them up. Looking through them. “You knew? And you didn’t say anything?” Was that just as bad? No, it wasn’t. “Pippa, isn’t a slut. I started this with her.” He told her softly. Doing his best to steady his voice and keep calm although his world was falling apart in front of him. “I had to give my life to that damn job! I didn’t have a choice in that matter! And as far as Pippa goes, we ended things before Bethany was born and I know it shouldn’t have happened. But it did and I can’t change that. I fucked up. Royally fucked up. I know this but I’m trying my hardest to try and keep something together here. I do love, Erica.”
