Hi there, you posted a photo on pininterest of a very beautiful upholstered arm chair - please could you tell me where you found this?! Thank you! Georgie
Hi Georgie,I am not sure which upholstered arm chair you are referring to but I found all the images of the chairs on Pinterest. If you click on the chair it takes you to another page which has a link to the original site it came from.Hope this helps!Allana

This is amazing work, these dolls actually look human!! As a child I would have preferred my doll to look real instead of being covered in makeup.

COCONUT ICE CREAM by Adriano Zumbo 1 cup (100g) coconut cream 3 (60g) egg yolks 2/3 cup (150g) sugar 1 tablespoon (45g) dextrose 1 rounded tablespoon of liquid glucose 3 teaspoons (10g) cornflour 1/2 cup (45g) fine dessicated coconut Method 1. Spray a 20cm square cake pan with canola oil. Line with cling film. Combine ingredients (except the fine coconut) in a medium saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly over low heat, until it reaches 85⁰C. Remove from the heat; cool.
  2. Pour mixture into ice cream maker and churn until cold, fold through fine coconut. Spread ice cream into prepared cake tin and freeze till firm.
NB: If you don’t have an ice cream machine, pour mixture into a shallow tray and freeze until firm. Once firm remove from freezer and process until smooth. Pour mixture into prepared tray and return to freezer; freeze overnight or until firm. Turn ice cream onto a board and cut into 3cm x 6cm rectangles. Split 2 coconut Tim Tams and place on work surface. Top with ice cream rectangle and top with the other half of the Tim Tams to make a sandwich. Repeat with remaining Tim Tams and ice cream. Freeze until ready to serve. Author: Adriano Zumbo

quick-sew tiny pieces
Tumblr media
There’s an amazing blog post here from sew mama sew on how to quickly sew together tiny scraps or pieces. I’ve done 2.5 inch squares before and they work fine for me, but I can see anything smaller than that being tricky. And the technique might even work well for not square peices which would be even trickier. Check it out!

Definitely need to start making some quilts like this to use up my fabric scraps. I love the random look!

Great Canadian Stash Busting Bee - February Block: Jera is also hosting this month in our bee. She wanted 15” string blocks in blues, greens and a little yellow and low volume. It was fun to pull a bunch of scraps and other fabrics I had on hand to piece together! I really like the effect - I think I’d like to make a string quilt some day too! (Even though there are too many quilts on my to do list!)

Went fabric shopping with my friend the other day and found this lovely New York fabric. Not sure what I’ll make with it but I had to have it. Since travelling there I am obsessed with the place

I haven't posted the mittens I made and they have already received enough mittens for the Koalas injured in the bushfires in Australia. It is so lovely to see how many people from here in Australia and across the world took a few minutes aside to help these adorable animals!!

Koala Mittens- the finished product!!
I am very happy to have helped out the Koalas affected by the bush fires in Australia by sewing some mittens which help their burnt feet heel.
More information about the animals affected by the fires and how you can help can be found on the IFAW Website. Soon they will be requiring people to make pouches for Joeys and Possums.
