I was drawing another scene of a barbarian horde charge (i'll be thankful when I'm done with those), and i have to be pretty freeform with my poses so I don't take forever with them.

This guy just turned up, just prancing across the battlefield. Didn't want to keep him in the shot, but I had put him on a separate layer because I did not want to lose him.

Some more progress on this guy. Taking it slow and steady, but this is the first time in a long time I'm doing no line rendering, and I'm having a ball.

Question is, would you trust this guy?

Over the last 5 weeks I have participated in shadyscarecrowfx's Mask Making Workshop, and created this monstrosity!

I'm not calling it done yet though, I want to do a lot more painting on it to make it look even grosser. Stay tuned.

Rambling a bit about my day job below the cut ⬇️

I started this art blog when I was a young aspiring game artist (in university).

My first industry job was in Quality Assurance, and I've stuck with it ever since. I was having too much fun breaking stuff and watching software (and eventually games) get fixed and improved.

I love doing QA, not just because I get to point at the silly bugs (that is just a side bonus), but because we can make games really shine.

I have seen Pine Hearts grow from a tiny little prototype, and I could not be prouder of our team and what we have made here. If you've read this silly little bit, thank you, and I hope you enjoy the game ❤️

hey my birthday is this coming sunday and all of my loved ones and friends are 1000 miles away from me. if you feel like giving me a little birthday treat you could draw for me a weevil wizard to keep me company.

alternatively you could consider giving me $5 to draw you any bug of your choosing so that i can justify buying myself a bottle of fancy liquor. i won't take straight up donations because i'd feel extremely bad about that so i insist that you request a bug drawing if you give me money.
