listen i love every iteration of evan 'buck' buckley soooooo much ok he's my special little guy and i am so proud of all the ways he's grown and become the person he is. but!!!! i would give Anything to get a glimpse of s1 buck in s9 buck's body. please please please just a little hint of that perfect blend of overly-confident charm and earnest innocence. like i'm sorry but boyfriend buck was at his Peak in season 1 and To Be Honest we've never seen him the way same way again. and i knowwwww buck lost confidence after abby ok i know but like. i need him back. i need to see him secure enough in his relationship that he's not afraid to flirt or tease or woo. now.......if only there was someone in buck's life who made him feel secure enough to act like that......a partner of sorts....perhaps a roommate.... :)

it’s fun that Mormonism is based off pseudo-archeology and Scientology is based off pseudo-psychiatry. By that logic the big American New Religious Movement of the 21st century is gonna be based on… pseudo-computer science?

The reason this is important is bc Congress actually does have some power over the executive branch in terms of investigations, shining light onto their insanity, impeachment and defunding the executive branch.
It also matters that we share this info, that we post about what’s going on and talk to friends and family about it because the MAGA regime derives its power from its popularity. The more unpopular they are, the harder it will be for them to get shit done. And the easier it will be for people with power to stand up to them.
If you’re not sure how to start these conversations, I find the easiest way is to just answer honestly when people ask how I’m doing.
“Honestly, really freaked out. The hostile government takeover is not doing me any favors”
“Nervous about this SAVE Act man, I changed my name when I got married. If it passes it’s going to be so much harder for me to vote.”
“My best friend has a green card, I’m really scared for her but trying to help her get shit together in case something happens.”
Finally, if you can, try to go to a protest or town hall this month. And then tell your friends about it. Ask them to go with you. Show people in your life that this matters and provide an example for them to follow.
hey btw if you're an american and you're upset at the way that the trump administration has repeatedly ignored court orders—including supreme court orders—in order to illegally imprison and deport innocent people, this is your reminder to go to 5 calls, enter your location, choose the button to the left of the screen that says "Fight the Trump Administration's Defiance of the Constitution and Courts," and call your reps.
if you have social anxiety and you don't want to talk to a person, wait until after working hours and you'll get their answering machine. if you don't know how to even put it all in words, read the call script, which sums it up pretty succinctly. it will take you less than five minutes, they will log another dissenting opinion regardless of how awkward or nervous you sound, and if enough of us call, who knows?

Yes, Democrats helped fund the government and voted for a devastating bill that gives a blank check to Trump and Musk.
However, 213 House Democrats voted against it. Only 1 supported it.
37 Democratic Senators voted against it. Only 10 supported it.
96% of Democrats in Congress opposed this disastrous bill and would have shut down the government. The cowardice of Chuck Schumer and 5% of Congressional Democrats does not mean that Democrats and the party as a whole aren't standing up.

Buck is like…clearly in love with Eddie. My sister does not watch this show and we both thought in the goodbye scene Buck was about to try to kiss Eddie. The music, the lingering in his neck, the cookies, the expression shift when he drove away. Like that man has FEELINGS.
Eddie……is either being deeply weird and kind of unfeeling in a way we’re going to explore later or…we’re not and it’ll be one more 911 emotional arc that just kind of fades into the distance.

One way we can stop any blowback on Dems is to stop acting like there is any reason for there to be blowback on Dems. We’re not pundits, we’re citizens and voters and we are all responsible for spreading a message. Tell everyone you know that it’s fucking wild that Republicans control the House, the Senate, and the White House and still couldn’t manage to keep the government open because they were too committed to letting Musk and Trump sell off programs that help people to fund a tax cut for billionaires.
It seems like the bulk of people interested in the topic are wanting Senate Dems to refuse to vote for the CR. I'm very concerned by what a shutdown will mean for Elon's shenanigans, but I'm willing to go with public opinion on this one. Just know... it's a big risk and any blowback that hits Dems because of it is part of that risk.
I just don't want to do a round of "How dare you do the action we wanted you to do when we were ignoring that it'd mean THIS."

Indivisible has a March recess toolkit for the upcoming “district work period” where Reps/Senators will be back home. Ask your Rep/Senator to (Dem or Republican) to host a town hall. If they won’t, see if your local Indivisible group (or any advocacy group!) is or will host an empty chair town hall instead!
Vote Save America is also putting town hall events in targeted Republican districts on their mobilize page and you can find the closest one to you here:

Keep it up!
Keep calling, keep emailing, keep going to town halls, keep protesting! Dont give them a moments peace! These bastards are cowards who dont like a spotlight put on them. They want to be authoritarians quietly and freak out when people notice them and call them out on it!
If we have to be miserable the next 2-4 years, so do they and we vote them out!

Buck acknowledging and apologizing for the behavior that came out of his feelings of abandonment: that’s growth, baby!!
Buck effacing his own hurt and solving Eddie’s problems in a way that allows him to hold onto Eddie without getting any acknowledgment of their relationship and where it’s going: that’s NOT growth, baby!!!
#911 abc#buddie#anyway buck is once again moving into a significant other’s house who is leaving to deal with their own shit#without acknowledging Buck’s feelings or their relationship!

Seeing Tim Minear’s name all over the x-files has made me realize it’s not a slow burn he’s writing with buddie, and it’s not ship baiting. It’s a genuine love of edging audiences with a platonic/romantic/psychosexual/antagonistic bond that defies all definitions and expectations and makes you chew your own hand off
