Well, I don't exactly know what's going on in the world today.  Don't know what there is to say about the way the people are treating each other, not like brothers.

Leaders take us far away from ecology with mythology, and astrology has got some words to say about the way we live today.  Why can't we learn to love each other?  It's time to turn a new face to the whole world wide human race.

Glen Hansard (feat. Josh Ritter) - Drive All Night (Live in Nashville - 9.18.15)

No songwriter will ever carry more personal significance than Bruce Springsteen, but Glen Hansard has the same pathos and may be the closest heir apparent.

Some of my all-time favorite non-Bosstime concerts involve Glen via The Frames, The Swell Season, and his solo work, so when I found out he was headlining an intimate AmericanaFest showcase (alongside the great Josh Ritter!), I had to be there.

Ending the evening with a serendipitous cover of "Drive All Night" was just icing on the cake.
