This is little Junko. She was found on the campus of the University of South Alabama at just a few days old. She was picked up by two students, and brought into PetSmart. They didn’t have the sufficient time or resources to give her the demanding care that she needed, so they turned her over to an associate. Hundreds of kittens this young are euthanized in shelters all over the world, because they don’t have the time or resources to provide round-the-clock care. Neonatal babies require a LOT of attention. They need to be fed every hour-two hours in the first week or two. They can’t use the bathroom on their own, so require stimulation to waste. They can’t regulate their own body temperatures, so they need a heat source. They are fragile, and deserve a chance. The PetSmart associate was expecting a child of her own, as well as working and going to school, so she reached out to the Non-Profit cat rescue that I volunteer with. I have been a bottle feeder for kittens for a few years now, and agreed to take her.

Here's your daily reminder that it's okay to be unsure. Unsure of what you want, where you're headed, or how to get there. We're humans, we grow every day with each new experience, which means we change our minds on things we were sure about yesterday. It's perfectly okay, and the people who truly care about you, they'll understand, and they'll encourage you to do what's best for you and your happiness. Take it one day at a time, and figure it out on your own pace. Take some steps back if you need to. Don't be so hard on yourself, if you knew everything already, what would be the point of living?🌸

Went and checked out Hollywood Cemetery yesterday and I spotted this little gem. I always feel like four leafed clovers mean more when they're found at a glance. If I start searching too hard, every single one that has three leaves, I see as "unlucky". Kinda unfair to those clovers who are just doing their thing, ya know? 🍀 (at Hollywood Cemetery)

Life is full of ups and downs. Whether it be emotionally, physically, mentally, financially, or however it hits you, sometimes the downs take you all the way to rock bottom. On the bright side, it's not always a bad thing. Rock bottom means you can't fall any further, and the only direction from there, is up. It's a perfect time to lay everything out in front of you, and push forward to build yourself back up. You can reinvent yourself completely. Start fresh with a new perspective, a new vision for your future, and a new and improved game-plan. It's okay to lose who you were in the process of who you want to be, but don't forget that who you are is who's leaving the impression on the world- here and now. P.S. Trying to find the motivation between work and school to make jewelry has put me in a bit of a creative rut. I haven't crafted a piece in, what feels like, ages. Just a little bit of self-realization goes a long way. I love making jewelry, so I'll do my part by reworking how I spend my hours in a day, and MAKE time for it. My Etsy could use a serious update.
