Gale and Vaana and some magic wands. I always loved the look of the wand of magic missiles from BG1 since I was a kid. Idk what it was actually supposed to be looks wise, I always imagined it was a bundle of pinkish feathers on the end, but some people have made it a flower or just a funky orb. Someone should make a mod to bring back wands with charges, then you could store a lot of a good spell on that bad boy!

I think I want to take some time away from my bg3 fic to see if i can finish up some older stuff. Maybe the bg3 detour was enough of a brain wash to let me work on this other stuff more.

I've written so much and reached a roadblock that I think its finally time for me to employ the old "make an outline" trick. I ought to have done this ages ago, but, lmao. Lol. haha.

It's been so hard to do anything creative lately. Between fixing about a million different things in my house from installing windows to flooring to building a whole closet from scratch— then the window install causing me to have carpal tunnel like symptoms for the last two months (I'm finally getting into the PT Tuesday, thank god), I can't seem to do anything but veg. I want to be better! But more importantly I want my brain to clear! I'm so tried.

I feel like I have a lot of strong opinions I'd like to say, but I don't have the energy to argue with people who I know are out there that will inevitably argue with me.

God did not build me for debate club, he built me to get incredibly anxious at confrontation and need a snack just to write 3 paragraphs max. I kinda hate it. I admire people who can go full clear-head debate mode.

I swear to god if I see one more person say that "first person is telling me what I'm doing" or "first person is for me to put myself in" I'm going to actually start fighting people in comment sections. Do you all have main character syndrome?! This is not how first person works in literature!! IT'S A NARRATOR! IT'S THEIR PERSPECTIVE!!! NOT YOURS, YOU DUMBASSES! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU ALL TALKING ABOUT?!?!?!

I once again make the argument that Vasily Livanov was the greatest portrayal of Sherlock Holmes PURELY on the basis that within the first 5 minutes of Hound of the Bakervilles he laughs very heartily.

No idea what was said or why he laughed, as I don't speak Russian and the last time i went looking there were no English subs, but the fact that he gave the character any obvious humor at all was so striking.

Jesus Christ, THANK YOU!!! I've been arguing this point for ages. The fact that the Doyle estate was able to even think to argue (regardless of the outcome) that it was infringing on their ownership of his last few stories if you wrote him as having emotions was ABSURD! The man -more than once- disguises himself only to jump out in front of Watson and go HA-HA! ITS ME YOU WOULD HAVE NEVER GUESSED! HOW DELIGHTFUL!

He's wonderfully kind, just blunt and truthful above that as his first-order traits. That doesn't mean he's not kind!! SORRY I'M EDITING BC I wrote that all having just woke up, but: the thing that really gets me is that he's SO FUNNY. Like are you telling me the above scenario happening multiple times isn't hilarious? Who would do that?! He makes jokes, he finds humor in things. To portray him as a stoic just because he's smart, blunt, or anything else is just false. And its not just "oh, makes a snarky quip at someone he doesn't like." AGAIN: Is it not funny to prank your friend and get too into the prank that you need to reveal it early just to go "Boo!"

Just started reading Sherlock Holmes and all the adaptations are wrong. This man is a delight. He gets excited about hemoglobin and is ecstatic at the thought of Watson as a roommate. He purposefully forgets how the solar system works so he has more room in his brain for crime. He shows Watson the dirt stains on his trousers and he can tell what part of London they come from based on color and consistency. (As far as i can tell Watson didn't ask, Sherlock just gets back from walks and tells Watson about the stains unprompted.) The text specifically says "Holmes was certainly not a difficult man to live with." Why does every adaptation make him unpleasant and rude, he's literally just eccentric. He's such a goober, I love him.
