This is a REALLY OLD concept of mine (from the era of when I was fresh to Tumblr and didn't know how anything worked, circa April 2022). That post has LONG since been deleted, though, so here it is: an AU concept with a fresher coat of paint slapped on.

First, let's start with what exactly this is mainly about: Mothy/Akuno-P's series of The Evillious Chronicles.

The Evillious Chronicles is this really long-running series that is pretty prominent within the Vocaloid community, a notorious source for old Pokémon MMDs and—nowadays—animatics. As such, at least some of you will be familiar with the series that truly kickstarted The Evillious Chronicles as we know it today: The Story of Evil.

The Story of Evil is comprised of 3 songs: ‘The Daughter of Evil’ (the story of a tyrannical monarchy, according to the people), ‘The Servant of Evil’ (the story from the point of view of the princess' twin brother), and ‘Regret Message’ (the aftermath of the Revolution, shown in the previous two songs).

Now, why am I talking about this here, on a Pokémon side blog? Well, this is where the fun begins!

Take the Story of Evil, and fuse it with the Submas Twin Princes AU concept. Older twin servant; younger twin tyrant. Simple, right? WRONG.

There's a shit ton more to it, now. The idea has expanded after YEARS of it being discarded to the deep side of my memory with the rest of the "remember that embarrassing thing you..." section of the sleepytime junk, despite being unable to get into the nitty gritty of the Evillious Chronicles because OH MY GOD THERE'S SO MUCH LORE.

And just when I thought a different fandom bastard started taking over the controls to the Hyperfixation Express, too!

Whatever. Explanation under the cut (because there's a LOT to unpack):

So, we got our twin princes, right?

Emmet (Kudari) is our "Child of Evil;" Ingo (Nobori) is our "Servant of Evil."

It's no longer just them in the void that is this formerly half-baked idea, though—which I am happy to announce is more like three-fourths-baked, now, as this is merely a concept and not a full fic. This idea has since expanded slightly beyond the Story of Evil, so let me introduce you to the rest of the "main" cast—i.e. literally only every character directly relevant to the “Story of Evil” plotline, as there's FAR TOO many to name and cipher through.

Also keep in mind any form of "hostility" you might detect is really just my somewhat sleep deprived brain trying to be less serious about this concept (of which it decided to keep me up to the point of typing this entire post).

Michaela (Hatsune Miku): Battle Chatelaine Morgan

Formerly a spirit of earthly nature (and also the reason Riliane executed everyone with green hair as a result of her unrequited love's unrequited love, putting her in execution-range), Michaela became human in order to stop what The Original Sin (a major driving point of the entire story of The Evillious Chronicles)—inadvertently caused by her, in her first life—from causing even more damage.

Rilliane ended up ordering her twin to kill her, of course, but that didn't mean Michaela immediately failed her mission—on the contrary, from the looks of it, as her human death seems to be what caused her mission to truly succeed, if anything.

While it was difficult for a time to place who exactly should play the role of the Millennium Tree/Michaela, I cannot help but pick Battle Chatelaine Morgan, albeit for some extremely simple reasons:

Green Hair (a core component to the "Green Hunting", as Riliane was quite petty)

A Sawsbuck as part of her standard battle lineup (a perfect pick for a character who later ends up playing the role of the new Millennium Tree in this AU)

Such a decision is also partially because of the existence of the seldom-popular(?) Emmelyn ship making me aware enough of the leaders of the Battle Maison, but that's besides the point.

Clarith: Dark-Type Specialist Piers

I know, I know: Clarith x Michaela is basically canon to the story and is gay as shit. For that exact concern, I was hesitent on picking Piers to play the role of Clarith, but I don't know if you knew this, but Clarith's main sctick was that she was HEAVILY bullied because of her red eyes and pale hair devoid of any true colour, earning her the nickname of "Demon Child."

Piers' hair may be black and white—like his ace, Obstagoon—but his incredibly pale skin absolutely makes up for that. Also, extremely pale twink with black and white hair given the nickname "Demon Child?" When he was but a young lad? That may have traumatizing undertones, but shit, man, that's punk as hell.

Such a decision also gives me a reason to make a "woah, he's bisexual! I didn't know that!" joke, since—while I doubt Clarith ever fell for Riliane after she realized "oh shit, this girl is just as traumatized as I am, probably" in the actual story—this idea isn't exactly 1:1 with the Evillious Chronicles, so I can be allow myself the small mercy of a whitenoiseshipping moment in my concept purely because the gayest ship in the Evillious Chronicles is unable to have an equally gay equivalent. Bicon jokes will also never not be funny to me because of SnapCube; sue me.

Besides, Piers is really the only one I can see obtaining such a cruel—albeit punk—nickname. I wouldn't be surprised if I also made a rairpair purely for an AU, either.

Kyle: Dragon-Type Specialist Raihan

The King of a neighboring kingdom to Riliane's who had a crush on someone other than her, bah!

Both of them were possessed by the Sin of Pride within this part of the story, resulting in their horrendous decisions leading to a MASSIVE clusterfuck, but still!

This was kinda tricky to figure out (at first, at least): do we do we make THIS gay because I couldn't keep the gayest ship in The Evillious Chronicles (that I'm aware of) still represented with a gay ship, or do we keep it as straight, unrequited love? You already know: I made this gay as an apology.

Is it because I've played Pokémon Shield enough times to believe Raihan suits such a role? Yes. Is it also because some people decided to ship these two dorks, probably because of Emmet's Sygna Suit "Day With..." event in Masters EX? Also yes.

Germaine Avadonia: Electric-type Specialist Elesa

Le gasp! The leader of the rebellion is the third of our beloved (albeit non-canon) Nimbasa Trio? What a twist!

For those who don't know (which included myself, not to long before writing this!): Germaine Avadonia is the foster sister to Alexiel/Allen, our servant of evil in the original story.

Now, I know some people like to ship her with one of the twins, but I sit with the "Nimbasa Trio Are Siblings in Everything but Blood" crowd, at the end of the day, so this fits.

Of course, that brings one concern: does this mean Elesa got Ingo killed unintentionally? Absolutely. They get better, though, so don't worry too much.

Holy shit, we made it to the end of the ones that matter to the Story of Evil plotline (to my fucking knowledge, at least)!

Whatever, last piece of food:

Given how massive the story of the Evillious Chronicles are, one simply cannot fit all of that in one Pokémon AU, but there is one song that rests outside of the Story of Evil plotline that DOES stand out: "Re_Birthday."

Now, I doubt many people have gotten themselves this deep into the lore, so I'll summarize, so briefly it is practically put in a nutshell: the main cast are eventually reborn into the modern era, centuries after the last one alive had passed. Enough time for both Twins of Evil to repent for their sins, from the looks of it—it's been a hot minute since I listened to that song, alright?

In Conclusion!

Is this just the Twin Princes AU with a slightly fresher—and maybe darker—coat of paint? Maybe! I don't know how different the concept is!

This concept has never gotten more than a mere glance before, mainly because when I was still learning the ropes, (the old post being so half-baked that for the first time the "core memory" of such a half-baked composition it kept me up for long enough to flesh it OUT, ffs), but do with this Re_vamped Concept (get it?) as you will. But please also maybe tag me if you do anything with it.

Like, that's what this is: because Emmet reads off as more autistic than his brother in pretty much every media the twins are in (even if it was never confirmed; there's a reason neurodivergent people like myself see them as such), he gets the same treatment as many living, breathing fucking neurodivergent people, which fucking SUCKS because he's the one I relate to more AS an autistic person.

PS: if they EVER make a cooking system in the Unova remake / sequel, we think pizza would be the BEST option! You can make it while camping, it’s customizable like curry & sandwiches are, & it’s a staple food in New York!

I haven't done this yet (but I SHOULD HAVE), but I decided to restart Legends Arceus, since I got burnt out after beating Volo and having basically nothing else to do.

So, new game, already halfway through the main story, and most of the pomémon found in the Fieldlands, Mirelands, and Coastlands have been obtained.

Unfortunately, screenshots cannot be provided (I didn't think I needed to screenshot any of my gameplay things with only one exception, and even then getting them onto my phone is a giant hassle I'm not going to attempt ever again), so you'll just have to go by word of mouth (I had recorded the important information to my sister, so I have at least an order of things).

It is a lot of info, so I'm putting it below a cut:

The log currently only contains notes from the Obsidian Fieldlands section up until the Beginning of the Coronet Highlands section.

Log #0: Chose Starter (Samurott)

Nature: Lonely

Height: 4'11

Initial Level: 5

Location: Jubilife

Chose Oshawott for personal reasons (even if I am not keeping it on the roster for much longer). Evolved it completely before facing the first Lord.

Log #1: Emi (Sylveon) has been obtained.

Nature: Naive

Height: 3'4

Initial Level: 3

Location: Obsidian Fieldlands

Obtained Baby Doll Eyes and immediately applied in order for this to work without worrying about fucking it up, as she was still an Eevee and I knew what I wanted her to be.

Log #2: Quelled Kleavor, Lord of the Woods

Pokémon Used: Samurott (Level 47)

Number of tries: 1

Used the giant-ass tree to my advantage. (The only cheese strat against these guys, sadly).

Also just realized he Naruto Runs™ when he enters his arena in the cutscene prior to the battle itself, lmao.

Log #3: Castella (Lopunny) has been obtained

Nature: Gentle

Height: 9'1 (Alpha)

Initial Level: 40

Location: Obsidian Fieldlands

Caught the Alpha Lopunny in the Fieldlands instead of waiting for an alpha buneary of the right kind to spawn and going through hell just to evolve that fucking thing. Also omitted the plan of a shiny cause I'm not going to grind for that shit.

Log #3.5: Quelled Lilligant, Lady of the Ridge

Didn't record it when it happened, so any other details were lost.

Log #4: Sayuri (Hisuian Lilligant) has been obtained

Nature: Impish

Height: 6'8 (Alpha)

Initial Level: 50

Location: Crimson Mirelands

Like Castella before her, Sayuri isn't shiny. Don't have that kind of patience.

Her name is also a joke, as she's an alpha whose name means "little lily."

Log #5: Izumi (Basculegion Female) has been obtained

Nature: Bashful

Height: 9'11

Location: Cobalt Coastlands

Log #6: Quelled Arcanine, Lord of the Isles

Pokémon used: Samurott (Level 71)

Beat the Lord of the Isles in a single day in comparison to my last best (and first time) of over 6 months hiatus then finally beating it through blood and sweat /j

Log #7: Ingo appeared

Log #8: Homura (Ninetales) has been obtained

This is (almost) where the fun begins.

Nature: Adamant

Height: 6'6 (Alpha)

Initial Level: 61

Location: Cobalt Coastlands

Went back to the Island to catch the Alpha Ninetales. Accidentally was seen, but still caught her with a single Leaden Ball like planned.

Log #9: "Let's have the greatest battle, better than ever before."

Location: Coronet Highlands

Opponent: Warden Ingo

Pokémon used: Emi (Sylveon), Izumi (Basculegion), Homura (Ninetales*)

Battled Ingo in the Coronet Highlands using Singles rules for an extra challenge (no "bag" items, no pre-fainting switch-outs, 3 pokémon max, all regular–ish). One-shot his Machoke, then held back cause I felt bad (purposely not using the Dazzling Gleam STAB and only Agile Style Mystical Fire, since it was the weakest move), leaving Emi to faint.

*Homura was not required to defeat him; Izumi was enough to finish off his Gliscor and Tangela.

Also yes, I quoted the super multis on purpose for this log "entry."

And—just cause I wish to mention this—since Ninetales is a regular pokémon and pseudo–legendaries are also allowed via Battle Subway rules, Homura would probably be fine, as I feel like classifying alphas in a similar way to pseudo-legendaries preferable due to less restrictions.

Plus, Ingo later has a challenge option where he uses three alphas as well, so it's only fair (doesn't matter that the fucking almighty Sinnohan gods have Path of Solitude challenges of their own. They are still banned in any non Path of Solitude battles like they are on the Battle Subway, lol).

Log 10: Megumi (Togekiss) has been obtained

Nature: Timid

Height: 5'7

Initial Level: 43

Location: Obsidian Fieldlands

Personally I think that battle sims like showdown would still be a thing in the pokemon world. Cuz like picture this: you are ten years old and the only Pokémon you have access to is the elderly family Sunflora. You love Sunny to death but also literally every media you consume involves Pokémon battles and champions and cool ass fights. Sunny is too old to fight and your neighbor’s Gothita is too young. One day on the playground your friend tells you about this cool website that lets you battle pokemon on the computer. Later that night you boot up the family computer and instantly realize that this website lets you play as GROUDON (!!!!). There’s no going back from there.
