Hey !! so im trying to write a few stuff for my owl house au where my oc exists and i just wanna get some opinions on some ideas, since im trying to classify magic so I can like incorporate my oc more organically in the lore. If you have any suggestions , feel free to tell me!

( For context , im gonna expand more on the branches of magic )

There's 2 types of magical types; positive magic and negative magic.

Positive magic -- usually referring to the normal magical abilities that witches are born with / manifest early with ( such as Willows talent with plants, Amitys abominations and Gus talent with illusions )

While Negative magic follows the latter (?) , referring to witches who manifest their magic later on in their lives due to different circumstances ( Hunters circle magic , Luzs palismen magic and artificial magic + flesh magic from Belos )

+ a few points I wanted to add!

In this AU, After flapjacks sacrifice , Hunter is able to do circle magic now as well! both w and without his palismen. Tho it still counts as Negative magic because he manifested it differently + later on in life than others

I added Luzs palismen magic as Negative magic because luz " manifested "magic way later than regular witches through her palismen :)

by incorporating Negative magic in my au, it explains why characters like Belos, Hunter and luz have different colored magic, it also explains HOW exactly Belos created his artificial magic as i tie it to smth w my oc later on ( since his family shares negative magic, so i was thinking belos studied their magic + w his knowledge of glyphs managed to perfect artificial magic )

TIMESKIP HUNVEN — Hunter x Haven (oc)

( why do my sketches look better than my finished work T_T ), Few facts i wanna put here about Timeksip Haven!:

• Haven ends up being a Musician In the boiling Isles as well as a writer. He has trained his magic well enough to be able to use other type of normalized magic. ( mostly Bard magic )

• Hunter and Haven have been together ever since the events of season 3

• He has covered his coven sigil with the flapjack tattoo until they could remove the sigil from him.

• for Hunters and Havens anniversary, Hunter made him a palismen! His name is Flour, and he likes eating socks and , well , flour bags for some reason. Hes a mix of a moth and a bunny.

• Haven is a talented cook now, Hes very good with making food rather than desserts though.

Haven Evermore: Scene concepts

A few concept scenes in Havens story, ill explain them down below

Slide 1) First meeting with the Emperor —

Thats kinda basically it. I would like to think that Belos probably took an interest to Havens “condition “ regarding his magic,as it is kind of similar to his in a way. And well since witches magic are biologically a part of them, Havens condition affects the color of his blood, which The emperor, upon their first meeting , finds curious.

Slide 2) Hostage —

Haven gets taken hostage by the owl lady , king and Luz ( Edas idea) upon trying to sneak in one of the emperors facilities. Haven ends up breaking down , ranting about his job and how the other scouts dont really like him. You get the idea .

Slide 3 + 4) Eclipse Lake confrontation —

Haven helps Hunter sneak out to Eclipse lake, letting him borrow one of his uniforms. Haven is there basically to protect Hunter because the Emperor would have his head off if he ever knew he helped him out. Hes there during the eclipse lake fight but mostly he fights against king, and then threatens Amity not to touch Hunter. This is TECHNICALLY Amitys and Havens first meeting but not really official i suppose. ( Fun fact the “ my prince “ was a slip of the tongue from Havens part, Later on Hunter asks him about it and Haven doesnt know how to respond )

Slide 5) Halloween night —

Belos ( possesing Hunger) blames that one of the reasons that Hunter was “ led astray “ was because of Haven. Kind of a small parallel to how Caleb was led “ astray” by Evelyn in philips eyes. So he sees this situation the same as if its history repeating itself, and ofc doesnt take it lightly. ( another fun fact, this is how Haven gets that nasty scar on the left side of his face ). Afterwards Hunter feels so bad that Belos did this to Haven but he assures Hunted that it wasn’t his fault.

Haven interactions with TOH cast!

Luz and her shinanigans with the owl lady and King werent unseen by the emperors coven, as they would occasionally wreck chaos in their establishments and fellow scout partys. On one of these instances , Luz captured Haven , holding him hostage ( Edas idea ). Though Luz soon felt bad for such thing, as Haven was noticeably anxious at the fact that the moment he would be released, his superior scouts would belittle him for not being enough . Luz ended up Offering friendship to Haven, which as confused as he was , and still is, slowly accepted her offer. He ends up warming up to Luz overtime, quickly making his nervous ish persona dissapear, and leading into who he really is.

Amity didnt like Haven at first, afterall he is— or well, was an emperors scout. She didn’t understand why Luz accept Haven so quickly as her friend, but yet again its Luz, and thats one quality of hers she loves. Their time in the human Realm is when things started to shift her perspective of him. they quickly found a friendship within one another, relating to eachother as both are hard workers, and come from a place where they have to be perfect. To everyones surprise, they become best friends , and share secrets amongst each other that they wouldn’t dare telling anyone.

Gus and Willow gave Haven the benefit of the doubt when learning he used to be an emperors scout. After all , they knew not all people who belonged in that horrible coven where bad, Hunter being a prime example. Besides being stuck in the human realm with him helped seeing who he really is; just an over-thinker, gentle Boy. Haven , while still feeling nervous around people he met a while ago, appreciates their warm energy, even if its too much for him sometimes.

Amongst the countless Scouts, Steve was one of the few who didn’t mistreat Haven, he was rather welcoming of him when he first joined the scouts, and always looked out for him whenever he could. Haven never understood why Steve was so.. Steve. But nontheless He liked his company, you could even say Haven looked up to Steve as a father figure. However if Lilith was around Steve, he would pretend he doesn’t know who he is, as he was frightened by the head of the coven.

Haven was a people pleaser, wanting to look good to others, so he would often take different shifts that other scouts where supposed to do. This included the night shifts, where he had to guard the emperors library. Unlucky for him, the golden guard was a frequent visitor of the library, who would once in a blue moon strike a conversation with Haven for who knows why. Perhaps it was the fact that he learned both shared the same age, or maybe it was the night time that affected his mood. Whatever his reasoning was , those small talks soon lead to longer ones about the books he reads, his missions , small facts of his findings.. And while Haven at first just listened out of respect, he soon started sharing stuff about himself to him too.

Getting to know the boy behind the mask was a long endeavor, as gaining his trust was no easy task. But it was worth it to meet Hunter — who he really is. Hunter would share more about himself , personal things he wouldn’t imagine telling anyone , and Haven would return the favor. He was the first person he could trust about Flapjack, and He was the first person to make him feel as if time would just stop when it was just them. They grew to be comfortable around each other more in the Human realm, despite the butterfly like feeling in their stomachs growing and the awkward flustered moments they would share.

Fun fact: hes sort of good at using any type of sword more than hes good at magic. Thats why he utilizes the magic he can control to make weapons. Usually its either a sword or a staff, as he doesnt have a palismen.

Ofc hes never killed anyone w it, more so that he uses it as a warning to others.

These weapons can cut through spells and magic materialized things ( like abominations or plants ) and with enough power— through magical shields and such.

If these weapons touch/slash the magical beings theyll be significantly weakened , as if their magic is being stolen.

If these weapons touch/slash a witch, itll paralyze them or weaken them, as if theur magic is being stolen.

All being said and done , it doesnt work on humans as intended. Humans would mostly just feel like a bolt of energy instead.

Ik most of the magic stuff i say for haven isnt cannon and everything , but i just wanna have fun and add some intresting concepts i thought of :P

TOH OC : Haven Evermore

General Info:

Name: Haven Evermore ( Haven meaning Harbor, Safe place, and Evermore meaning something which is everlasting or eternal)

Age: 16 ( His birthday is on January 21 )

Sexuality: gay

Coven: Emperors Coven ( S2A + S2B )

“ Haven evermore is a scout working at the emperors coven. He is one of the youngest scouts in the coven, only being 16, and is constantly being worked to the brink. “

Personality:

Haven is well known to be quiet and anti social , even when he forsnt want to. He lacks proper social skills because of his tendency to just follow orders, ending up being awkard around others as a result. While reserved, he surprisingly has this calm aura around him despite panicking most of the time. Hes a people pleaser at first , which causes him to get taken advantaged of by the elder scouts of the emperors coven, doing their chores and shifts to make a good impression.

Magic info:

Havens magical abilities are a result of his magic manifesting late into his early teens , unlike other witches who usually manifest theirs from - well, birth. This is why his magic is a darker color unlike the usual white glow most witches have. His magic is chaotic and unstable, its strong to the point that it can start rotting into a black goo like substance. Because of this, his eyes glow when using magic. You could say his powers hold a similaritues to both belos condition and artificial magic , as Haven cannot perform normal magic , and instead can do things similar to artificial magic at best.

Haven does not know how to use his magic properly due to its strength and sorta lack of expirience. Which is why whenver he uses his magic, it harms him, causing the ocassional blue nose bleed.
