Leela not understanding why a bad dice roll means she would prevent her from stabbing someone

Romana criticizing how abstracted the social elements and suggesting a bunch of homebrew

Narvin min maxing and creating a 'perfect' character (on paper) while complaining about how silly the whole thing is.

Andred rolling a new poorly thought out character every time because they die or he can't commit.

K-9 being the best player and best character (who does tragically) out of all of them

The cultural elements, my beloved 😭

Where else will I get Korean Aragorn and indigenous inspired tattoos and absolutely gorgeous women of color. And not just the token diversity hires. It’s majority people of color, of so many different ethnicities and body types. People who look like me

the costume and hair/makeup department on wot was so special because they took so much effort to create costumes that accentuated each actor's body type and they incorporated so many cultural elements into each look.. but of course amazon decided to keep the lord of the rings show where everyone wears the color grey

they really cast such an amazing actress for the rani and then just killed her off like that? don't get me wrong, i like mrs flood, but archie panjabi was so perfect and she got 2 episodes. not even that. it's so disappointing

can we please please please learn to differentiate between things that are good but devalued because of their association with women (caring for children, being compassionate), things that are neutral but seen negatively because of their association with women (the colour pink, having long hair), and things that are bad but associated with women because of misogyny (being materialistic, being stupid) because otherwise we’re gonna keep getting takes like “being gender nonconforming is anti feminist” and “not studying for your classes is feminist”

So Prime wants to focus on their other fantasy show, especially given their contract with the Tolkien estate. Fine.

It would make a lot of sense for Sony, the actual rights holders, to still want to make use of their ip especially since the show has momentum and a following right now, and take the show to a different streamer. And Apple TV does make a lot of sense as the best option, given their catalog of originals that are currently very sci fi heavy, to pick up a fantasy that can compete with house of the dragon and the rings of power.

So here’s hoping Sony and Apple TV agree. And we can help that process along and POLITELY ask them to consider it through every medium we can (such as socials like YouTube, Bluesky, and Instagram).
