something about "what i feel for you will never change" from a man who has lived for thousands of years, when in that time his feelings for absolutely everyone else he knew and loved did change. something about his last promise (he assumes) to lavellan implying that she is different from anyone else he's loved. something about her rare and marvelous spirit that makes him so eternally in love with her that he has to let her know in case one of them doesn't survive. something about loving her for the rest of his immortal life.
