My first and second perler creations, respectively. Just from a prepackaged box- wanted to test the waters on my iron and see if I enjoyed the act of forming these little creatures. (I loved every second of it and will be making more!)
I did way better with ironing balance on the second one but I still botched up his goomba nub foot thing. Any pointers from experienced beaders? Advice and critiques please!
Also- when displaying or gifting do y’all present the melted side or the beady side?

My family has always had ginger cats! My parents would pose them holding bottles of beer and unwrapped cigars sometimes. This is so cute!

Just posting this little guy to help me get back in the practice of creating. I’ve felt like I’ve been in a rut for about a year. I swear I’ve consumed enough short term dopamine to tranquilize a lumberjack.
I hope to post a little sketch at least 3 times a week.
Since I was a kid, I remember my dad telling me things about my interests like I remember telling my dad I loved storytelling and drawing and how I wanted so desperately to find a career in that. I remember being brushed off so many times and being told, “that doesn’t make any money”. I really looked up to what he said and I seriously didn’t keep track of the things I enjoy and only prioritized studying things and trying to get myself interested in things that will make money and make my parents happy.
The only things I feel positive about are the things I kept or keep secrets from my parents. Like my music and when I first met my boyfriend.
When my parents thought they were helping me, they were really screwing with my inner compass until I lost myself. I’m just a lost college student having to pick up my bread crumbs trying to find my purpose.
When I can escape school, work, and home, I find myself drawn to nature and I really enjoy my Biology class and Astronomy class. I honestly surprised myself with how easy they have been coming to me and how much joy it gives me. This polar bear is really symbolic to me and I feel like I’ll draw her again again and again and again.
