“Aaaaaahh!” she exclaimed as she saw the coffee and macarons, as well as the elaborate Pokepuffs for her Primarina. “Y-Yuugetsu, you didn’t need to go to such lengths...! You’re such a sweetheart...” she sat down and daintily picked up a macaron, looking to her Primarina. “Go ahead, Yukine! Eat up - you deserve it!”

Both Yukines began to eat, and the trainer looked up to the gym leader. “So, you wanted to talk? What’s up?”

Operation: Trigger

She giggled and turned to her Primarina. “Come on, Yukine! Let’s go! Macarons are on the liiiine!” she laughed as she broke into a run toward Yuugetsu’s gym, her shiny Primarina following and breaking out a laugh-like song.

Yukine and her Primarina got to the gym just a few minutes later - a little longer than five minutes, if Yuki was going to be honest - and the two entered the gym, panting a little. 

“Whew! That was some run, wasn’t it, Yukine?”

Her Primarina nodded and clapped her fins in agreement.

She could hear the distant sound of the heavy Gym doors opening, meaning that the other girl had arrived. Once the blonde got to the top of the stairs, she would find the Gym Leader waiting for her, a large plate of macarons sitting in the middle. A cup of coffee was waiting for her as well. Even the other Yukine would have something as well, a dish of very elaborate Poképuffs just for her.

“You’re here. Come, sit. It won’t be too long.”

She felt her phone vibrate in her skirt pocket. Jumping a little, she opened it up and took a look at the text from her huge crush Yuugetsu.

[[text]] }Ms. Yuugetsu{: oh! I’m taking Yuki for a walk on the beach, but I’ll meet you at your gym in five! does that sound good?

Hitting “send”, her heart beat a little faster. She was going to see Yuugetsu again…and this time, Yuugetsu even offered her her favorite macarons…! Maybe…oh, she shouldn’t get her hopes up so fast.

But this was easily one of the best days she felt she was going to have.

Good. This was just what she needed. She was going over the finer details of her plan in her head, combing through it to check for any flaws in her logic. She wasn’t going to tell Yukine everything, as she needed natural acting, but she knew she would agree to the part that she would give out.

Sure, she may not have won the battle, but she sure as hell would win this war. Sadistic glee gave color and vibrancy to her face, because she had a plan, dammit. Pissing off her newly-discovered relative was already a blast, she had found, so pulling a stunt like this right after would only sweeten the situation. As the old Japanese saying goes, “The misfortune of others tastes like honey,” and she couldn’t agree more in regards to Audra. Pulling out her cell phone, she started typing, fingers moving as if lit by lightning.

[TEXT] Yuki, I need a favor of you. This is important. Meet me at my Gym, and I’ll debrief you most of it over some of your favorite macarons. Think you can do that for me?

“Oof...” she muttered to herself, obviously not ready for this - oh well...she’d have to bite the bullet and dance.

She probably had zero talent as a dancer; as a singer, well...that was a completely different story. She could sing very well, which had quickly earned her the nickname “The Songbird of Shokiko” by her fellow trainers.

Yukine watched the gym leader with curious interest. “Are...you sure? About training me, I mean - you’ve been training extremely hard for pretty much your entire life, and you’re probably really busy...” she said, pursing her lips. “Miss Yuugetsu...y-you’re very kind...” she lowered her head, blushing yet again.

“Of course. Not all of my companions are Fairies, which you would know if you’ve seen my Contest appeals on TV. Regardless, it will make for good training on your part if I were to tutor you by using many different types. We can use my Gym when there’s no other challengers. Does that work for you?”It seemed that it was easy for the Gym Leader to fluster the other trainer, even if she wasn’t teasing her. It was kinda cute, if she was telling the truth.
