5 Things I’d Buy For My Dead Dog
Dear Diary,
The day came that we had to euthanize the family dog of 14 years. And tbh, I’m handling it a lot better than I thought I would. I mean I only thought about the fact this day would eventually come since we got him. So yeah, I would hope 14 years of pre-grieving would prepare me enough.
What’s also helping, though, which is how I normally cope with death is just pretending he’s actually not dead. He’s on a luxury vacation and will be home soon. Which means I should probably order this stuff soon so it’s all here when he gets back.
And don’t you dare ask for an update on my dating life. I know I said I’ll update you but have you no decorum? I’m grieving over here.
Any ways, here’s what I’d buy him if he wasn’t currently on sabbatical in the afterlife. Chat soon x
- Zyn Dog Toy (Pupper decky made me laugh unfortunately)
- Dog Capri Sun Goo
- Kibble Sauce
- Birthday Box (If only I knew it would be the last time)
- Kabob Treats (If I’m being honest these look crazy I want to bite into one so bad)
🪦R.I.P Max: October 31, 2011 - July 21, 2025
💌 These are affiliate links. If you buy something, you’re funding my grief-fueled delusion that my dog is simply on vacation. Idk what stage of capitalism this is but trust me I hate it here too.

“This & UV 10”

Dear Diary,
I keep seeing these posts on TikTok and Pinterest and I’m this 🤏🏻 close to quitting my job to focus on summer.
Did I just spend $23 on tanning oil that smells so heavenly it makes me want to lick my own body up and down?
Well that’s neither here nor there.
But since no one wants to take on the role of treating me like an angel, I might as well smell like one.
Anyway, why is the dating pool so horrid nowadays? These men want princess treatment so bad but get weird when I ask them about their relationship with their mother.
Lots to unpack there. Will save it for Jenny (my therapist)
Bless her soul.
Until next time, enjoy my lizard time essentials:
- Hally Hair Lightening Spray
- Sun Bum Tanning Oil
- Sun Bum SPF 50 Lotion
- Vacation Chardonnay Oil
- Henna Freckles
- Dry Shampoo SPF
- Fav Water Bottle
Maybe I can get tan enough to attract a new type. Will keep you updated!
💌 Links are affiliate (thanks for supporting my dream of getting paid to yap and enjoy lizard time)

You can absolutely perform magic using visualizations and sheer force-of-will. This is definitely a thing that is possible. But this requires an intimate understanding of how and why magic works in the first place, and one can only reliably come to that point through rigorous study and practice. If you have no experience with ritual, with spirits, with your own inner power— you can visualize to your heart’s content, but your magic will be left wanting.

Color Symbolism in Roman Catholicism
As someone who uses a lot of color symbolism in their art and in the knitting work I felt that I should have this list somewhere on hand so I’m sharing it here. This is a combination of multiple resources + My personal notes/uses of the colors from family traditions are italicized and are not necessarily part of catholic practice. I’ve bullet pointed feast days and saints associated with each color also.
Feel free to use/add your own notes as needed!! I’ll likely be adding to this as I go, including food associated with each color too!
———
White: Purity, virginity, innocence and virtue. It also symbolises holiness and is the Christian color for all high Holy Days of the Church Year, especially the seasons of Christmas and Easter. It can also represent death, the color of bleached bones, and funeral flowers, especially when paired with black.
used: Christmas and Easter seasons; Holy Thursday; the solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity; the feasts of Our Lord (excluding those relating to His passion). White is used at nuptial Masses and baptisms, and may be used at funerals. White also is allowed for days special to a given parish or region, such as a parish feast day or anniversary, or Thanksgiving Day in the United States. Gold or silver also may be used for solemn occasions.
Mary,
Angels
Saints who are not martyrs
All Souls Day
All Saints Day (Nov. 1)
St. John the Baptist (June 24),
St. John the Evangelist (Dec. 27),
the Chair of St. Peter (Feb. 22)
the Conversion of St. Paul (Jan. 25).
Saint Lucia
Yellow: renewal, hope, light and purity. Yellow is the Christian color for the season of Easter when used with white. One of the main colors of marigolds used in dia de los muertos.

All Souls/Dia de los Muertos
Green: nature, fertility, hope and bountifulness. Triumph over death. Green symbolizes freedom from bondage. Green is the Christian color for the season of Epiphany.
used: Ordinary time, a season focused on the Lord's three-year public ministry, His teachings and miracles; a reminder that the mission of the church is to share the hope and life of Christ with the world.
Saint Jude
Saint Patrick
Red: the Holy Spirit and is the color of Pentecost. Red also represents fire and Crimson red also symbolizes the presence of God and the blood of martyrs. It is the Christian liturgical color for Pentecost and represents atonement and humility
used: Representing blood, the church assigns this color to Palm Sunday, Good Friday, the celebration of the Lord's passion. As a symbol of the Holy Spirit and the burning fire of God's love, red also is used on Pentecost Sunday, the sacrament of confirmation and the votive Masses of the Holy Spirit.
Feast days of apostles and evangelists,
Celebration of martyred saints
Saint Rita
Archangel Michael
Pink/Rose: Joy, Symbolizes: anticipation, rejoicing

🕯️spiritual veiling🕯️
Veiling (or head covering) is a spiritual practice that is found within nearly all world religions! Veiling is the act of covering ones head, partially or fully, with an article of clothing or hanging cloth. The type of veil or head covering varies from faith to faith. Also, everyone has different reasons for veiling. In general, it is a sign of respect to ones deities, to the self, and to the sacredness of the body. Vestal Priestesses of Vesta veiled before their goddess, Yoruba initiates cover their head for spiritual protection, Catholic Nuns veil for spiritual distinction and modesty, etc. Historically, women are more likely to practice veiling but there are many practices where men are also called to cover their heads. Veiling is for anyone and everyone who feels called to practice! 💐🌹
✨ BENEFITS OF VEILING ✨
(Note, this is an amalgamation of different reasons why people veil. Not everyone shares these same benefits or beliefs. This is a generalization!)
DIVINE DEVOTION
The crown of the head is, in many practices, believed to be the center of divine communication. It is the part of our body that is closest to divinity. As a result, many people veil in order to respect the sacredness of this connection. It’s almost as if placing a crown upon our head to symbolize our pure connection with our gods. It can also be a sign of humility and humbleness before divine. Veiling for divine devotion is often worn during rituals or worship but may not be worn for everyday use (this varies). This practice of veiling results in a closer, sanctified bond with our divinity.
SPIRITUAL PROTECTION
Similar to the last point, the head is believed to be sacred. If the head is not protected, the rest of the body may suffer. Emotional empaths may be called to veiling out of a desire to protect their energy from the world around them. Full-body veils can also be worn for this purpose. It offers comfort, peace, and a sense of spiritual protection!
DISTINCTION
For many people, veiling is a way of “wearing their faith”. A clear religious habit (form of clothing) sets you apart from the rest of the world. Not in the sense that you are higher or holier than the world but in the sense that your life is lived in devotion. It is a reminder of the covenant you have made within your spiritual path. It makes your faith visible and tangible. My Muslim sisters often express that wearing their hijab creates a sense of unification and connectedness.
EMPOWERMENT
I’ve noticed a lot of people, especially women, express how empowered they feel when they’re wearing their veils. It can often garner a sense of respect and reverence. Sadly there are spaces where veiling (especially for muslim women) is met with judgement but, even when faced with criticism, it is an empowering practice. It forces the world to view us as more than bodies to be objectified. It adds a sense privacy that demands respect.
SELF AWARENESS
Wearing a veil is a reminder to the world but also to ourselves. When we wear a veil, we are wearing the tradition of our respective beliefs. It is a physical symbol that aligns us with our spiritual practice and reminds us of why we do what we do. I find that I am much more aware of my actions when I am veiling (for rituals and for everyday wear). There’s a sense of responsibility that comes with wearing a veil. It’s highly symbolic and we have to respect its importance.
A BLESSING
For many, it is a reminder that we are forever blessed, protected, and empowered by our spiritual practice! It’s like taking up a mantle of power. For some it’s out of modestly but, for most, it’s an outward sign of the blessed relationship that we have with our respective spiritual paths! ✨✨✨✨ Thank you for stopping by! My askbox is always open for anyone who wants to learn more! If you are someone who veils, I would love to hear your reasons and experiences. I feel like there are so many misunderstandings about the purpose of veiling and I hope this post could shed some light! 💐 🌷 🌹 P.S anyone can veil, as it’s a part of pretty much every culture, but be mindful of the style of veil you choose! There are some styles that are sacred and should not be used unless you are a part of that religion/tradition. Do your research.

Identifying Angelic Signs
Here, I'm going to tell you some basic things that you can notice, or pay attention to, when an angel is trying to guide you. These are all mine, so if I missed some, submit them to me and I'll make another list! ♡
Waking up, and not feeling fully like yourself. Not being able to identify why you feel slightly "out of body", without any explanation.
Seeing repeating numbers, like 111/222/333, etc. Certain numbers coordinate with specific angels, or some are showing you something around the numbers of significance.
Seeing flashes or orbs of light, including seeing a specifically bright star in the night sky (one you've never seen).
Going off of #3, taking pictures that have odd flashes/orbs of light.
Songs playing in your playlist in a specific order. For example, sometimes songs titles will seemingly make a sentence, or lyrics will line up a certain way that is noticeable.
Hope these were somewhat helpful!

🌠Some magic I recommend to use in your spells: psalms from the Bible, these are powerful prayers!
🌠The first is Psalms 29:1-4. This is amazing for commanding, asking God to aid you in your work and to achieve your goal.
🌠The second is Psalms 7:6-10, for reversals, banishing, protection against evil intent, jealousy, and harm.

Craft tips for Christian Witches
1. Start with gratitude - Colossians 3: 15-16
2. Cleanse yourself and your space - Say Psalms 26: 6, Psalm 51: 7, Psalm 51: 10 while smoke cleansing or casting a circle
3. Ask for guidance on your spiritual work - Psalm 119: 33-40
4. Centering prayer for 10 minutes - This prayer is the action of giving consent for God to work through you. I find it very powerful for my practice and I do super accurate tarot readings after this prayer
5. A good rule of thumb: call Jesus for healing or love related spells/rituals/readings and the Holy Spirit for anything else. Include Mary, Angels and Saints you work with as you wish
6. Close with Gratitude for answered prayers because we work by faith around here - Psalm 31
Bonus tip- Find Angel and Cross shaped crystals
