God he looks so pretty in that fur coat outfit in the left photo. I mean he always looks pretty in general but it was criminal of them to have him in that outfit for only ONE episode. Criminal, I tell you!!

Also is it just the lighting in this scene in this gif or did they add some purple to the black hair dye to make it shine like that? Because if they did, kudos, and also I’m adopting that as an in-universe headcanon—Ozzie does a purple wash routine for his hair

Came across a post that mentioned an ‘I love you, I love you more’ and my mind immediately went to Nygmobblepot like

Imagine they’re in a very well established relationship at this point

With these two the exchange would without a doubt start off all cute and lovey and then devolve into an actual fight that lasts for at least a week

And then eventually devolve even further into just plain moping until they’re sick of it and be all quiet and dancing around the issues when it comes to apologizing because even though they’re both sorry they still have their egos of course

There’s a little cheeky banter and flirting and hallelujah they’re back to being all lovey dovey again

To the great relief of Olga and Zsasz because hey they’re here too

Especially Olga cos she bet that Ed woulf apologize first and smiles smugly as Zsasz hands her a $20 bill

Unhealed Wounds Your Character Pretends Are Just “Personality Traits”

These are the things your character claims are just “how they are” but really, they’re bleeding all over everyone and calling it a vibe.

╰ They say they're "independent." Translation: They don’t trust anyone to stay. They learned early that needing people = disappointment. So now they call it “being self-sufficient” like it’s some shiny badge of honor. (Mostly to cover up how lonely they are.)

╰ They say they're "laid-back." Translation: They stopped believing their wants mattered. They'll eat anywhere. Do anything. Agree with everyone. Not because they're chill, but because the fight got beaten out of them a long time ago.

╰ They say they're "a perfectionist." Translation: They believe mistakes make them unlovable. Every typo. Every bad hair day. Every misstep feels like proof that they’re worthless. So they polish and polish and polish... until there’s nothing real left.

╰ They say they're "private." Translation: They’re terrified of being judged—or worse, pitied. Walls on walls on walls. They joke about being “mysterious” while desperately hoping no one gets close enough to see the mess behind the curtain.

╰ They say they're "ambitious." Translation: They think achieving enough will finally make the emptiness go away. If they can just get the promotion, the award, the validation—then maybe they’ll finally outrun the feeling that they’re fundamentally broken. (It never works.)

╰ They say they're "good at moving on." Translation: They’re world-class at repression. They’ll cut people out. Bury heartbreak. Pretend it never happened. And then wonder why they wake up at 3 a.m. feeling like they're suffocating.

╰ They say they're "logical." Translation: They’re terrified of their own feelings. Emotions? Messy. Dangerous. Uncontrollable. So they intellectualize everything to avoid feeling anything real. They call it rationality. (It's fear.)

╰ They say they're "loyal to a fault." Translation: They mistake abandonment for loyalty. They stay too long. Forgive too much. Invest in people who treat them like an afterthought, because they think walking away makes them "just as bad."

╰ They say they're "resilient." Translation: They don't know how to ask for help without feeling like a burden. They wear every bruise like a trophy. They survive things they should never have had to survive. And they call it strength. (But really? It's exhaustion wearing a cape.)

Thinking about that scene in Season 5 after Ed kills Mr Pen, Ed’s trembling as he says the words ‘cold logician’. He discovered he’s actually NOT the cold logician he thought he was i.e the Oswald hallucinations, and it scares him. It scares him that he still cares. Because caring means weakness. He’s afraid of being WEAK because weakness means DEATH, and he wants to continue living without fear because he feels he still has something to PROVE. He wants to prove his genius, that’s why he’s the Riddler. To continue living is to stick it to all those he’s met who tried to ignore him, to scorn him, to subdue him….including Oswald. Ed thinks he wants to keep Oswald alive because Oswald’s a fellow genius (master manipulator), he’s worthy of Ed’s friendship. But really Ed works with him because Oswald knows Ed, understands him….truly cares about him (as proven when Oswald takes a grenade for Ed).

He’d rather live in fear and love than live without Oswald.

Oswald’s true intention of freezing Ed was because he wanted to go back to the time when Ed adored him and preserve it and have a physical keepsake of that time. Ed is the butterfly, Ed’s love is beautiful and ephemeral like the butterfly and no i’M NOT CRYING YOU ARE

Ed’s long hair in the S5 finale kinda looks good on him?? I mean it needs to be styled ofc but add some curls and Ed would be lookin’ pretty cute, just sayin’. Maybe it’s the hairstylist in me lol. But also have you SEEN Cory’s natural curly hair? Stunning. No notes. I’m so jealous fr he’s so lucky

That being said, Ed’s ‘long’ straight hair from when he had the chip in his brain is a different story. That was atrocious and also how dare they. Like Gotham WHY

//I want to preface this by saying I’m NOT a Stolitz anti!! I love them so much it hurts and good god are we Stolitz fans gonna hurt when the next episodes come out lol. This is just my take as an amateur Psychologist/Relationship counselor!//

Watching S2’s teaser trailer and the sneak peak of the Stolitz duet, my prediction is that Stolitz isn’t endgame—specifically that they TRY to make it work, but the real core issue in their relationship is that Blitzø needs to love himself before he can love others.

And of course that’s heartbreaking….but I also think that it’s a necessary lesson for our boi to learn. It happens so often irl and it’s a really tough lesson to learn, a harsh reality. A lot of people who don’t love themselves will try to distract from their self loathing by plunging head first into a relationship and put their significant other’s needs before their own—and as we’ve seen with Blitzø and Stolas, it works….until it doesn’t.

One of my favorite quotes from Jonathan Decker, a licensed relationship therapist (see Cinema Therapy on YouTube) is, “a good relationship thrives when you tend to your significant other’s needs but not at the cost of your own”.

And, as Lizzo says in ‘Am I Ready (To Be Loved)’: ‘How’m I supposed to love somebody else when I don’t like myself (like, oooo) Guess I better learn to like this (oooo) It might take my whole life just to do’

Truth. It can take your entire life to learn to love yourself. And that’s okay! As much as it feels like that sucks, self love is incredibly important.

And so far Blitzø is making good headway, what with reconnecting with Fizz and having that much needed talk with Moxxie. We’ve seen that he’s more than capable of being vulnerable and loving….he just needs to push himself a bit more and try not to fall back into bad habits or distractions.

I’m not saying I’m not gonna go through the 5 stages of grief if that IS where Stolitz’s story is gonna go, but y’know. That just speaks to how amazing this show is and how well it’s written.

In conclusion I’ll be living in sweet sweet denial by consuming and drawing all the yummy Stolitz domestic bliss I can until the next episodes of Helluva come out lol

Passing thought: Technically, as a vampire spawn, Astarion should have the spider climb ability. One could explain that as the tadpole repressing it, he notes that it's shut down his regenerative abilities in a banter with Shadowheart.

But if you let him ascend he talks about it in his hubristic rants like it's something new and special. So he doesn't know that he should already be able to do this as a spawn.

One answer is that Larian just decided that spawn don't have that ability in their game, but another answer - fitting DnD canon - is that Cazador didn't tell him about it. Many vampires teach their spawn lies and don't teach them full extent of their abilities to keep them weak and afraid of retaliating to reduce the chances of them overthrowing them.

(I also have a mental image of him discovering this over the events of the game and he has an enraged freak out as he realises he's always had more power than he realised and that Cazador tricked him out of. (Somebody should maybe get this guy a copy of the Libris Mortis. Like, "here's a manual on your condition and similar ones, because we can't trust whatever your shitbag abuser told you."))
