major spoilers for Dead City 2x08!! I’m putting this one below the ‘more’ bar because it kind of spoils two things :)

There’s something deeply poetic and tragic about Ginny dying on a quest for revenge against Negan mirroring Maggie’s own quest for revenge. Maggie might not be dead, but she lost her whole world over the years. All she could think about was revenge and it cost her so much, including her son (for now). I think seeing Ginny die for it and then having Maggie realize she needs to stop running and face it to let it go is powerful. I remember she mentioned in her chat with Ginny a few episodes ago that she wasn’t sure if killing him would change things for her and I’m glad that came back around in her talk with Hershel at the end of this episode.

I want to see this series wrap up with both her and Hershel being able to truly let go and move forward as a family and I hope that’s the direction they’re going based off this finale!

I booked a 2:30 appointment for today about a month ago because I had class until 12:30 and it was either 2:30 or 12:30. Well, that class was cancelled so I had to wait at the college since about 12:00.

Decided to get pizza near my doctor because college food is ridiculously expensive. Thought if I bus at 1:30 I’d surely get here long before my appointment and have time to eat. Nah, I did not anticipate the chaos of downtown mid-day.

So now I’m here, about to be assessed for an hour, starving with a migraine. I am so defeated but this is possibly the best time for this kind of assessment. I am at peak overstimulation and stress today 😅

Edit: the pizza was bomb and the appointment went… well? Idk, well feels like the wrong word but it didn’t go bad lmfao

Croat and Maggie were so fun this episode! I loved their dynamic. Seeing Lucille again was great, as a long time fan of Hillarie. I had a feeling Dama wasn’t dead but oh man, am I disappointed. Love Lisa Emery, she’s done wonderful in the role, but I hate the direction they went with her character.

Fingers crossed next week’s finale is top tier! Give me a Negan lineup and the sins of this season might be forgotten /hj

I hate that I knew Hershel was full of shit 😭🤚🏻 I feel so bad for him but at the same time I’m so tired. I hope this plot ends next week. I just want Maggie and Hershel to have peace. The Rhee Family has suffered more than enough 🫠
