i like the idea that bruce just shows up to league meetings with his birds with absolutely no explanation offered

i mean this man frequently stalks his coworkers and knows everything that's happening in their personal lives and i think he'd forget that HE is the weird one for doing it and not everybody automatically knows when he's acquired a new child

so he just shows up at the watchtower with a new bird and literally says nothing about it . just sits at his chair with the latest robin standing next to him and literally doesn't acknowledge that anything is different and it gets even more confusing when they change their costumes and names 😭

I actually love this and have a similar-ish thing going on in one of my current fics. it's just peak because Jason's portrayed as like, angry and vindictive and he kinda is as the red hood but also pre-dying jason todd was just such a nice guy and it's fascinating to think about that conflict

I really like the idea that Bruce keeps acquiring sidekicks that Jason already knows personally.

Tim? Yeah, Jason knows Tim. Nerdy neighbour kid who came over to play videogames.

you guys ACTUALLY need to stop saying Batman is bruce wayne. First off, I'm not even sure batman is REAL. Like Gotham's weird AF but still. Second, I love bruce wayne, I really do.

He seems like a nice guy and a great parent. I genuinely respect the amount of money he donates. WT is the only major American tech company to have followed through on their pledge to achieve carbon neutrality (as of a couple months ago, carbon negative is in the works!). Bruce Wayne is great, and iconic, and I follow his Instagram. But he's also a complete himbo, and based on what I've seen of him, he would never let a fucking 10yr be a vigilante. which is good. I don't like batman.

Literally. I'm mixed-race, Mexican and white, so I grew up around both English speakers and Spanish speakers. When I'm speaking Spanish, I pronounce words with Spanish sounds. When I'm speaking English, sometimes I use those exact same words (especially food names and stuff), using only the sounds that I already use speaking English. that's just... how i do stuff. it has never occurred to me that i might be disrespecting my own goddamn culture by switching accents when i switch languages. internet culture is silly sometimes.

that having been said, like OP mentioned, Do Not Fucking mispronounce people's names. my given name is of mexican-spanish origin, and it's the only thing i say the same in both languages. when in doubt, just learn how to say peoples names properly. it's not that hard, but it goes a long way in terms of showing that you like, actually respect them as a person.

People on Internet need to learn what loanwords are. I'm begging you all to look it up. People are not mispronouncing words from other languages when using them in english sentences, adapting words to fit with your language phonemes is normal, it's not disrespectful, the same word when put in an other language will be pronounced differently, it work like that with every languages. The only cases where it can be disrespectful is with names.
