Team Hussain is another grassroot initiative that I didn't see being shared much around Tumblr. Like other grassroot orgs in Gaza, they're also helping multiple displaced families at the same time.

The original 1979 Mad Max was made for $350,000, and made $100 million worldwide.
It is literally a bunch of stuntmen and nobody stage actors getting hurt and slowly going insane in the parts of Australia where no one was going to arrest you for illegally filming a movie there. Tied together with stock library music and editing techniques from the 1940s.

That isn't even Max on the poster. They said fuck it and handed an artist a random still and said "Paint this." 100% vibes on this. And it WORKED.
An inspiration to us all.

My biggest takeaway from The Wages of Fear is that Mario did not deserve Linda.

#the wages of fear#véra clouzot#film#she's so happy to show off her dress for their date then he blows her off to hang out with some other foreigner#poor linda

Violence set to happy music will never get old to me. Blood splattering to an 80s pop song is like a sister to me because I'm not allergic to fun.

I need Hawkgirl to bounce exponentially on it until she goes, 'SKREEEEEEEEEEEEEE'. My ear drums won't be the only thing that busts.

Superman was a really good movie. I liked David Corenswet's performance in this one. His Clark wears his heart on his sleeve and holds a reverence for all living things. He's the kind of guy whose innate goodness inspires you to do better and I loved his chemistry with the rest of the cast. Rachel Brosnahan made for a good Lois Lane and she's got some great scenes with Corenswet. Nicholas Hoult, whew, that man plays such a delightfully evil hater that you will love to hate. What a great villain. In addition, I dug the rest of the supporting cast like Mr. Terrific, Hawkgirl, Guy Gardner, etc. #JusticeGang4Life!
