in my head tiny dee has a barbie dreamhouse with a barbie and a ken who are happily married and never fight, ever, and she lets dennis play with her sometimes even though he gets all the voices wrong and doesn’t like when dee makes barbie and ken have a daughter instead of a son. and in middle school dennis gets t-shirts he doesn't like for christmas from a relative who can barely remember the twins' names, and he gives them to dee who looks much better in green than he does and she walks up and down the hallway feeling quite cool, even though barbara berates dee for acting unladylike.

and charlie is in third grade struggling to tie his shoelaces and mac walks to charlie's house extra early every morning to help him with them, even though his fingers are clumsy and they take a while. and charlie gifts mac one of his action figures when mac doesn't get anything for his birthday, even though it's a little broken and he's chewed on one of the arms and it's his favourite figure, because mac always plays with him anyway and charlie has loads more toys.

i love the lawyer so much guys you dont understand. you first meet him and you think hes just another one off straight man character for the gang to bounce off of, but then as the episode progresses you realize hes just as batshit insane as the rest of them hes just more chill about it. he keeps a gun loaded in his desk drawer just in case of something like charlie kelly showing up unannounced demanding a duel (which he immediately agrees to and very excitedly yaps about how hes gonna put a bullet through charlies teeth and out the back of his neck)

hes petty as hell, has a restraining order against the gang but immediately tracks down maureen once he hears dennis is getting a divorce just so he can fuck him over in the legal process and then afterwards happily smiles and puts his hands over jacks hands for the photo (this ALways kills me)

and the proof that hes just as insane as the gang is that this motherfuckers life is never ruined whatsoever by them. every other reoccurring character forced to interact with the gang slowly deteriorates over time (cricket, the waiter, maureen, macs dad) but not the lawyer. the worst that happens is his eye getting attacked by guillermo del toros bird.

i love him so much. underrated side character

i actually use macdennis in true top/bottom livejournal yaoi fashion because dennis takes it up the ass every night. mac begs dennis to at least let him sit on a dildo or something but dennis starts beating him with a rolled up newspaper until he gets it up again (puppyplay) and can dick dennis down once more. dennis‘ asshole is like a beautiful velvety path to bliss that opens for mac with such a sensual wink and flutter he just cant deny the Invitation no matter how painfully empty his own asshole is. also dennis does enemas and takes supplements and keeps himself very clean, like he probably even sprays perfume up there (which you shouldnt) and puts lipgloss on his rim while mac hasnt wiped since he did it on accident in the third grade and im just not a fan of poop like that. so yeah please know that i would never dishonor the old fujo traditions by going against the golden rule of shipnames invented back when people were writing destiel having unprotected sex with no lubrication on the backseat of that one dinky old car they had

i think in high school den starts hanging around mac and charlie and charlie hates it at first but starts to take a liking to den so he in turn starts hanging around dennis not registering that he wants their friendship to be a secret

Somehow I never really realized that Andrew Friedman and Charlie Day only have a 5 year age difference between them (I assumed it was closer to 10 years), and I realized I've kinda always assumed Uncle Jack was a grown adult when he moved in with the Kellys, when Charlie was a kid (perhaps incorrectly?)

Is Uncle Jack supposed to be canonically significantly older than Andrew Friedman is? Or is he actually cast to his age and supposed to be in his early thirties in Season 1? (I don't think there's an actual answer here, they don't age him in the script or discuss it in the TASP episode.)

But I'm wondering: do you guys automatically assume Uncle Jack is significantly older than Charlie? Or am I alone in just, like, ignoring the actor's actual age and defaulting him to, more or less, looking as he did in Season 1 when Charlie was a kid?

We don't really know the circumstances of Jack originally moving in with Bonnie and Charlie, but now realising their age difference, Jack actually being fairly young when he moved in with them almost, upsettingly, makes more sense than him being a grown adult at the time:

Bonnie taking in her much younger, teen brother (in some absence of her parents being able to care for him, or even paying her to take care of him instead) and sticking him in her son's room would logically make way more sense than if he were a grown man at the time. In many ways, she would see these acts as good deeds: becoming a caretaker to her brother and giving her son a pseudo-brother (who seemed to be happy to love and protect him), which would almost explain why she cannot accept (or even fathom) that this instead resulted in inflicting extreme trauma on her son.

Similarly, the closer age difference between Jack and Charlie would account more for Bonnie being able to turn a blind eye/take Uncle Jack's side when it comes to the "wrestling" comments. If Jack was a grown adult, it's hard not to not raise an eyebrow at, but you would almost expect that a teenage boy would be rowdy with his nephew, and that they would playfight, if not actual fight, quite often while sharing a small space. Conceivably, Bonnie really wouldn't have stopped to question the relationship between Jack and Charlie at the time if he was her displaced teen brother, as opposed to her strange adult brother.

And if I say Mac grew up equating love to cigarette burns and absent fathers and getting told to toughen up, that Mac doesn’t understand love that isn’t conditional, love without equal parts hate or distaste, that never in his life has Mac understood earnest love, that even though Dennis isn’t trying to, he often ends up re-confirming this idea in Macs head, that love is hatred, that-

dennis reynolds was born in 1976 and therefore likely would have graduated from the university of pennsylvania in 1998. stay with me here but elon musk graduated from upenn in 1997 which means they overlapped by 3 years. my point here is that it is a possibility, though a slim one, that in canon dennis reynolds could have sucked elon musk’s dick in college. thank you for your time i do not take constructive criticism
