Terry Crews came out and admitted he had been sexually assulted by someone in the film industry, and is now being blacklisted. I have been a fan of his since Idiocracy, and will continue to support all of his work.
So when you wonder why people don’t come forward with their assults, this is why.

Chiune Sugihara. This man saved 6000 Jews. He was a Japanese diplomat in Lithuania. When the Nazis began rounding up Jews, Sugihara risked his life to start issuing unlawful travel visas to Jews. He hand-wrote them 18 hrs a day. The day his consulate closed and he had to evacuate, witnesses claim he was STILL writing visas and throwing from the train as he pulled away. He saved 6000 lives. The world didn’t know what he’d done until Israel honored him in 1985, the year before he died.

Why is shaming our husbands still a thing in 2020? So what, he made a mistake and put tampons up with pasta. What if this was a husband shaming his wife online for putting a wrench in with hammers?
Stop dividing each other! Stop shaming each other! We all make mistakes and it shouldn't be put all over the internet for others to gawk and laugh at.
I'm so sick of seeing things like this getting attention. Love your partner. Love each other. Why is that so hard?
And yes, me and my husband share stories of each other's blunders. We share them with close friends and in an endearing way. We don't do it to mock each other in front of strangers.

I remember hearing that the original creator of the bigender flag was a bint, so I'm very proud to see that an identifying bigender individual has created a flag for us to use!!!
I will be exclusively using this flag until further notice, as well as purchasing any merch they might sell to support them.

Alternative Bigender Flag Design!
okay friends, so I’m not going to lie when I heard that the creator of the bigender flag wasn’t that great (see here) I was a little sad. it is without a doubt one of my favourite flags so I was pretty upset to see it go. none of the suggested alternative flags quite fit my experience as a bigender individual so I designed my own!
the meaning for each stripe are sort of up to you as I’m not quite certain about them, I’m completely open to suggestions if you want to throw those in the comments!
the pink/blue stripes are for presentation and the feeling of your identities (feminine, masculine, androgynous, whatever suits you)
the top white is for all kinds of good relationships
purple is for your unique bigender experience, how it feels and what it’s like! it’s also for understanding each other in this community!
and the bottom white is about self respect, pride and being true to yourself :)

Being Hispanic: An in-depth look into my cultural identity
My birthname is Ixtab Angelica Ah-Mucen Cab Balam Flamorisa. I am named after two Mayan deities and have my grandmother's middle name. You may call me Akiva Messi Brennan, a name I chose to express my current identity.
My father was from Yucatan and Guatemala, and our branch of the family never ventured past those borders when looking for a spouse. My father was also my biological great grandfather. His son was half Mayan and half Hoopa Indian, and his wife was half Irish and half Italian. This made my mother a rather mixed person, and half Latinx.
This leaves me 1/8th Hoopa Indian, 1/8th Irish, 1/8th Italian, and 5/8ths Mayan. I was brought up away from my family and raised in white culture, only allowed to fantasize about my Hispanic heritage. Because I played outside in my youth and tanned, I was often mistaken for mostly Native. As I've grown older and become more secluded, I've gotten pretty pale. I've been told that I'm almost an exact replica of my grandmother, who favored her Irish ancestory in appearance. Because of this, I present to you a list of reasons I've been told I'm either not Hispanic enough, or outright called a liar when I correct people.
Too pale
Too tall
Don't speak enough Spanish
Too pale
I have white features
I don't talk like a Mexican
Don't have the hips for it
Too. Fucking. Pale.
I act white
My eyes don't have the right shape
My hair is too straight
If you've told a mixed POC any of these things when they correct you on their identity, you are in need of enlightenment. You're also a jerk.
For a long time, because of remarks like these, it was hard for me to feel Hispanic enough. I would look at my tall and tan mother and be envious that no one would ever second guess her when she identified as Hispanic. And ironically, she envied my white passing features enough to have cosmetic surgery to mimic them. And to add more irony to it, she went from looking like the father she admired, to her mentally ill and abusive mother that she resented.
Now as I begin Spanish lessons and delve into not only my Jewish but Mayan heritage, I can't help but feel that I don't have the right to celebrate my own identity. Despite being more of a genetic percentage, I feel less in touch with the rich history that my mother was raised in. I feel I won't be accepted and pushed away by my genetic cousins, all because I don't look the part.
Color is truly only skin deep, but even as we praise inclusiveness, we still judge one another for it. Family friends in Ireland only welcomed me with open arms because of my lack of pigmentation, while neighbors in the Southern region of Mexico scratch their heads and squint, trying to determine if I am who I claim.
And while there is nothing wrong with being white, and you never need to apologize for your skin color, the majority of my heritage is Mayan. My family lived in the jungle, on the beaches, as primitive as the new world would allow them. I come from them, I was made in the mud by them, molded into the person I am today. A history that was stolen from me, and I am slowly reclaiming by myself.
Being Hispanic is more than just being Latinx. Being Hispanic means you come from an indigenous culture that is still alive today. You come from the beauty of nature. You come from a culture that could never be erased fully by conquesters.
My identity is Jewish Hispanic. It doesn't matter how pale or dark I am, what shape my eyes are, how tall or short, and how few or many languages I speak. I am part of this indigenous culture. I am part of the jungle, trees, the wildlife. The rivers are my veins, the ground my skin, and the people my heart.

So Nazis.
Here’s the thing that I don’t get.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Indiana Jones. Great character, hates Nazis. Punches and kills his way through them. Still loved by all.
Tumblr media
Everyone loves Batman! Doesn’t like Nazis.
Tumblr media
Wonder Woman, showing people how it’s done.
Even the villains don’t tolerate Nazis!
Tumblr media
Like, the Joker is seen as one of the most notorious villains in the DC-verse, and he just is about to beat the shit out of the Red Skull.
More examples:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And just the sheer amount of times Captain America, literally a character to signify the freedom of the US of fucking A, has punched Nazis is bordering the line of excessive.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So all of this media ranging from different decades and companies have all endorsed Nazi punching. However, as soon as this happens:
Tumblr media
Everyone loses their shit! “Violence begets violence!” “That isn’t the way to do it” “How dare he attack that man!” “Don’t put out fire with fire!” “You’re just as bad as them if you’re violent!”
But here’s the thing. It interrupts their platform. It shows that they are not invincible. It shows that they are not protected. It shows that they are going to be held accountable for their spouts of hate disguised as freedom of speech. It shows that there are consequences for their words.
I’m not saying that I’m going to seek out Nazis just to punch them, but I’m not going to stop anyone who’s doing it either.
Does art imitate life or does life imitate art? Either way, we should be punching more Nazis.
