remember to call out people who are being hurtful to others, even if they’re your friends. it’s so sad that people will refuse to keep their friends accountable because they not the ones being hurt or made fun of. be empathic, if you see someone being hurt by someone you care about, what’s stopping them from doing the same to you? and Why are you excusing such behavior from someone you associate with, why do you think it’s okay for that person to hurt or make fun of someone else just because it didn’t apply to you. That’s the same logic that people apply with the hateful -phobias in the world.

“It’s a joke.” If the “joke” involves insulting someone else for no good reason, especially if it’s people who don’t relate to, you’re laughing at their expense. Honestly, that’s pretty malicious as it gives “high school bully who acts out because they’re part of an accepted group”. It’s a childish way of thinking. turning a blind eye to a bully makes you no better, even worse if you defend them. I’ve even seen others put down people who come to the defense of the victim. It’s very high school.

Be empathic and push the people you love to be better. Because at the end of the day, when you’re on the receiving end, you’re gonna want people to care.
