It's getting colder here now. It's almost like a symbol of our situation currently. We have to do the distance thing again for at least another 8-10 months. The cold isolates and darkens everything. But I know Charlie and I shall continue to go on, plodding on through, until the day at which we can be together again. I prefer not to shout out everything on FB and Instagram but sod it: I love you Charlie Jackson (@jacksonca) and I will deeply miss you yet again. But I will work hard everyday. So that everyday passes a little quicker, the light and warmth returning. (at City of Hamlet)

So this little respite back in my #adoptedhome of #NorthCarolina is nearing its end. I got to reconnect with some old friends and folks, and unfortunately missed out on seeing some people.
