yo! I really like your sound, is there any live show recordings?
There's some solo acoustic performances on my TikTok and Instagram pages, but at this present time I don't have the full band necessary to bring the studio sound to the live setting

One hectic show
Played my first show that wasn't an open mic; it was an fundraiser winter ball held in my uni's student union.
Due to flooding stranding me in Manchester the previous day I had to crash at a friend's place on an air mattress that deflated much too quickly, leaving me basically lying on the floor, but I am still grateful for their hospitalty.
I left before anyone was awake and lucklily for me the trains were running once more so I went home, took a shower and immeditely crahed into bed to get some proper sleep. I woke up, put on my fancy suit, grabbed my guitar gear and left, only realising when I got back to the train station that I had forgotten my pick (rookie mistake).
None of the other bands had appeared yet for me to borrow a pick from by the time I'd arrived at the venue so I played the soundcheck with my bank card (as one does). Another band eventually did show up and I asked them for a pick right before I was set to go on (I was first up). The bassist (who played with his fingers anyway, so I'm not sure why he had it) gave me a flimsy thin thing that was better tha nothing.
The host announced me onto stage, I walked up and my pedalboard wasn't working. No lights, no sound, nothing. Call that an entrance. The tech guys weren't certain what the issue was but they think my power supply drew too much to handle ad blew itself out. (Even though it worked during soundcheck.) The tech guys helped me just plug direclty into an amp and I played with minimal overdrive. I went straight into the first song and my flimsy borrowed pick just snapped. Broke in two. With any luck the guy I borrowed it from didn't care about getting it back.
After the song was over I introduced myself, apologised for the technical difficulties and explained that I'd be playing the set with no pedals and with half a pick, totally playing it off like no big deal. I think I was still sleep-deprived and a little shaken because I fumbled some notes and lyrics in the first two songs but the rest of the set was basically smooth sailing, although I couldn't really hear my own vocals on the monitors. One day I will finally learn that I can just ask the sound guys to bring it up i my monitor.
A bunch of people came up to me afterwrads, said they liked my set and asked for my socials, so I couldn't have done too badly in the face of all the setbacks.

Got invited to a play a 20-30 minute set at a bar in Manchester last Friday! Absoluetly smashed it! Here's hoping I get invited to more things and get to play bigger crowds!

I put my name down to play a festival thing one of my uni societies was putting on but now they've said I can't play because of an 'uneven number of performers'. Disappointing but we deal.
