5.7 spoilers

The Abyss twin we meet in the quest is from the present time since they're rebuilding Khaenri'ah. The one I talked about who went to search for traveler after receiving key, happens in the past, during Cataclysm 500 years ago.

The fight with unknown god happens during the Cataclysm.

The Abyss Twin from 500 years ago never traveled into the future, they only remember receiving the key from the NPC and were confused about it.

There is no time loop, just a time paradox (from what I can tell).

Our actions about spaceship keys didn't cause Cataclysm. Khaenri'ah and Five Sinners dealing with Abyss caused it. However, the Abyss Twin staying and defending Khaenri'ah is not something Heavenly Principles wanted, hence all the key stuff they pulled, to keep the Abyss Twin away from Khaenri'ah.

500 years ago, the Abyss Twin 1st lived in Khaenri'ah, after recovering their memories, tried searching for Traveler and failed. When Cataclysm happened, they got the key from the NPC girl who got it from future. The abyss twin used this key to find the Traveler, awaken them and tried escaping Teyvat but was stopped by Unknown God (The Traveler still hasn't explored Teyvat yet unlike the Abyss Twin). Now for the 2nd time, the Abyss Twin woke up in Teyvat just after the Cataclysm and tried searching for Traveler again for second time and met Dain along the way, then Chlothar etc and started Abyss Order. The Abyss Twin never found the Traveler for 500 years after this, they lost them for the second time. Dainsleif leaves the Abyss Twin after finding out they started the Abyss Order, and they go their seperate ways.

500 years later, the Traveler wakes up and fishes Paimon. This is the second time Traveler wakes up in Teyvat and this time explore it unlike the first time when they were woken up by Abyss Twin and immediately tried to leave it
