currently watching monster (2004) and am absolutely obsessed with how tenma (accused of being a vicious serial killer, now on the run) creates a harem of germans as he travels the country and bewitches every single person he meets with his astounding kindness snd selflessness

we're basically getting an aftg prologue and an aftg epilogue as entire books. i've dreamt of times like these

i am shocked at lee mandelo's ability to describe trashy southern parties with startling clarity. other authors i've read from tend to describe drinking and smoking weed as if they've only ever experienced these things from a great distance while mandelo perfectly capsulates not only the physicality of taking certain substances, but the mechanics of it as well. and not once does he shy away from describing these activities with complete raw actuality

ok when you think about it tho it's kind of hilarious that andrew's decision to quit smoking directly correlates to wanting to prevent neil from being murdered on an exy court. his boyfriend's been nearly whacked to death on national television TWICE. over A SPORT. he's looking around like, is anyone else having this issue??? is this what dating is like?? unluckiest man in the world
