Thinking many many thoughts about how Jean was Riko's partner for a YEAR and was still rooming with Goon #3. Because that was how unwilling Riko was to let go of Kevin. And how that implies that Jean was placed as his partner both because of the practicality of Kevin being gone AND as a punishment for letting him go in the first place. Being partners with Jean could actually slow Riko down depending on how often he's hurt (because I don't think Riko was all that exempt from the rules to the point where his partner's performance would completely not matter) and he was still placed there. Riko was just THAT angry at him over Kevin's escape. And all the while he was keeping Kevin's side of room like an altar, even back when he didn't even think Kevin could PLAY, because of an injury he caused.

The King’s Game

I believe Riko plays cards while Kevin plays chess. The King is worth more than the Queen but Riko forgets the Ace (Neil) holds even more power

King of Spades (Riko)

Details I did:

- Riko’s hand under the table, holding Nathan to symbolize him cheating/waiting to use the Butcher

- First drawing: Riko holding his perfect court (A for Nathaniel, Q for Kevin, J for Jean) while grinning at the bloody 10 (Neil) because even if he’s about to win with a royal flush (Ace, King, Queen, Joker, 10) he’s willing to cheat (Nathan under the table) but Riko is unaware that a royal flush needs to be of the same suits so his is just a straight (which isn’t enough for Riko)

- Second: Riko holding his incomplete perfect court (Nathaniel, Riko, Jean) he stares at the two remaining members he needs for his wrongly assumed royal flush (Andrew and Kevin) Riko intends to cheat to have his way so Nathan is hidden under the table

- Riko’s assumption for a royal flush is because it’s the highest value in poker. But since all of the cards are different suits (representing their individuality from the Nest) he’s only got a straight

- Neil would also be a wild card because royal flushes only have as much value without wild cards in a game (something Riko does not prepare for)

Whenever I see fanarts of AFTG I think the artist are crazy talented but at the same time they are always dressed so fashionably cool, my boys are losers they don't have that sense of style sorry.

Perfect court is basically:

Riko: ball is life

Kevin and Neil: *nodding* and life is ball

Andrew: ball is very boring ngl

Jean: oui. Ball kinda boring.

So... we have "The Foxhole Court" (Neil) and "The Sunshine Court" (Jean) but you know what I need????

"The Perfect Court" that could be an Andrew/Kevin pov for the future or a Riko pov for the past, it'd be awsome either way.

Riko's versión ofc would be devastating to read, but we could see him cracking and sliping until he breaks Kevin's hand.

I wanted to share some of the characteristics I imagined in the Perfect Court appearance. Tell me if you agree or not and if you imagined something completely different bc im curious!!

#1 Riko Moriyama

He has the typical asian perfect skin and he hated it bc it made him look "soft." His best features are his eyes bc they are monolid eyes and this made his stares look more threatening but not enough since he's brother had the same monolid eyes but his were more sharp and looked more threatening. That's why Riko always preferred physical violence bc he knew his appearance wasn't as threatening as Ichirou's. He kept his hair short to look more menacing.

#2 Kevin Day

He is handsome. He is the classic perfect good-looking guy with green eyes, dark hair and eyebrows, a tall and well-built body, a sharp jawline, a perfect nose and cheekbones. When fans spot him in public and ask him for pictures there is always someone who sees the scene and wonders if he is a famous model or actor and when they discover that he's actually and Exy player they are shocked bc they would have never guessed it.

#3 Jean Moreau

He has pretty grey eyes and pretty eyelashes. After the first time Riko passed him around, his abusers started making jokes and call him names like "eye candy," "dollface" or "babydoll" and when Riko scarred his face he was so glad to hear ppl say "those scars ruined your pretty face". He has moles here and there in his body and he has pale skin that's why Riko loved using knives and leaving bruises on him bc the blood looked more red and scarlet against pale skin and the bruises had vivid colours compered to his skin tone.

#4 Neil Josten

He is good-looking but not in a stereotypical way. He has the classic ginger hair and blue eyes but not the white skin tone, but he has slightly sun-kissed skin. Because of that his scars don't look out of place like Jean's bc the colour of the scars' tissue (after healing ofc) fit the colour of his skin making them an attractive and interesting feature to look at. I know his best feature is his mouth bc he has nice lips that he likes to use to shittalk all the time.

He should’ve been at the club. I cannot stress it enough how much little prince of darkness should’ve been at the club.

Andrew dodged SUCH a big bullet by rejecting a spot on the ravens.

Not just from all the fucking abuse, but he cant say no unless he wants to be beaten. And he could've been sexually harrassd like Jean had, having absolutely no free will in anything.
