Before the suits, the LLCs, and the empires… there was Häagen-Dazs and hustle.

This was my first real business experience — even though I didn’t own it, it ran like I did. Every morning we’d show up early to grab our carts, load inventory, set up our vending stations, and lock in. It was pure grind mode: 16–17 hour days, seven days a week. No shortcuts. Just sweat, service, and straight-up selling ice cream at the US Open.

I got to watch Serena and Venus Williams play when they were still ascending. Caught Andre Agassi in action. Legends were being born on the court, and in a small way, I was building something of my own off it.

We made real money too. Had to manage our own cash, handle inventory, return every night like clockwork. Looking back, that summer taught me discipline, presentation, and the value of showing up — every single day.

This photo? That’s young ambition. That’s before the world called it entrepreneurship. We just called it work.
