Hi my name is Philip II the Prudent and I have short dark blonde hair that changes colour based on historical interpretation (that’s how I got my name) that’s balding and icy blue eyes like limpid tears and a lot of people tell me I look like Charles V (AN: if u don’t know who he is get da hell out of here!). I’m not related to the Pope but I wish I was because he’s a major fucking hottie. I’m a Habsburg but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. I’m also a king, and I lead a country called Spain (it’s the 16th century). I’m a goth (in case you couldn’t tell) and I wear mostly black. For example today I was wearing a black shirt with matching lace ruff around it and a black breeches, black stockings and black boots. I was walking outside El Escorial. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of Protestants stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

so. as literally anyone who meets me knows, i am french/italian. and i grew up with the italian version of the aristocats.

so i was rewatching it lately and i remembered the first time i watched it in french, then english, and i was like :

- what do you MEAN the ginger cat's name is o'malley and not romeo?? (in the italian version, his name is romeo, he's from rome and speaks with a roman accent and dialect instead of standard italian)

-what do you MEAN the kittens are named marie, berlioz and toulouse instead of minou, bizet and matisse? (yeah. i like bizet and matisse but "minou"?? come on she coulda just been maria or something)

-"everybody wants to be a cat?? no it's "everybody wants to play jazz" (the italian version is "tutti quanti voglion' fare jazz")
