My headcanon is that those colourful nutrient cubes in star trek are actually the first attempt at food replication, where they got the nutrients and taste correct but the shape, texture and colours were wrong. So those nutrient cubes would taste like a chicken nugget but look like a blue cube with the texture of apples or something. And when they finally figured out how to make actual food, they just kept those cubes because some people have nostalgia from eating those weird flavour cubes while serving on a starship with a prototype-replicator.

I have a headcanon that Gisokuko (the girl with prosthetic legs from .flow) is related to Monoe and Monoko from Yume Nikki. I know the car crash theory is really popular in the YN fandom particularly because of Monoko, so what if Gisokuko lost her legs in the same crash?

(I know none of this is canon, it's just fun to speculate.)
