AH! I just love AUs where the main character is mute, partly-mute, or deaf, blind, etc. Especially if the mc is some sort of leader because it begs questions, like "how would he even order everyone? wouldn't it be inefficient? how would he fight that way, warn everyone of an immediate danger?" So many ideas! My headcanon for mute OP TFOne: Miners are highly oppressed and don't have any access to datapads except for those that are given to them specifically for their job. Therefore, they can't learn servo speak (sign language), unless they're willing to create their own language. And that's where Orion comes in with his unlimited pass membership into any facility in the city (he trespassed into the Archieves and stole every sign language dictionary there which he then began analyzing with his crew)
Imagine a selectively mute Orion/Optimus au.
Like TFA possibly starts after the arc 7 incident. Or maybe it happens before. Months sometimes hed go without talking before suddenly starting back up again.
Or TF One Orion being selectively mute. It happens mostly after Darkwing reprimand him badl, or elita yells at him.hell go weeks. Months not talking. And so his crew learned hand speak.

That's such good theories!! Personally, I don't think Optimus would experience some hard PTSD because he didn't die with a fearful anticipation, but with a smile and in a peaceful way, like a hero. However, I believe that he would become more impulsive, bold, and protective over his family and others around him. Maybe he would even become unafraid of danger since he’s already faced the ultimate end. He wouldn't become rechless, per se, but more brave if the danger would concern only himself. And the other way around: he would become overprotective of his close ones and innocent humans, putting himself in different threatening situations without a second thought. He would treat death like it doesn’t matter anymore, because he already crossed that line once. He would start savoring every moment: waking up hours before the sun does, going to patrols more often that the rest of the team to see the beauty of Earth, spend his whole free time with his family, etc. He would start laughing at odd, silly moments, even though he barely even smiled before. Perhaps that would be his way of cope? The death experience is still frightnening, so by finding and creating as many happy memories as possible, he would cope with the fact that he almost lost it all forever: all those magnificent, fantastic wonders in the world. And what if he would have memories from beyond death? Not visual, ofc, but his feelings, tactile sensations of his spark? The warmth of the Well or even Primus Himself? Did he feel lonely there or happy, at peace? He would be so confused and unsure after such experience, having all those echoes of the past death showing up randomly in his processor. And I agree that he would have phantoms pains from where he hit his back in the fall, terribly so. Such physical pain that led to one's death can't just come and go like nothing happened.
Near-death experience of Optimus Prime (TFA version)
In episode three, Optimus literally died. Sure, he came back to life afterward, but the show never really touched on it later. And that’s a bloody fascinating subject with serious potential. Just imagine how much psychological trauma that would’ve piled on top of everything else he was already carrying.
Fear of sleep, nightmares
No matter how hard he tries, he can’t fall asleep. Every time he starts to doze off, his body is seized by a faint sensation of weightlessness, something that used to soothe him, but now only reminds him of that helplessness, fear, and the pain he endured in just a few seconds. Even sleep itself frightens him, because when he closes his eyes, all he sees is darkness just like when he died.
He keeps having nightmares about falling, about the terrified faces of his family, about the clear sky. Sometimes events from Archa-7 creep in, turning it all into a carnival of horror.
Phantom pain in the back and limbs, striking at the most random moments
Usually, it feels like a sharp blow to the center of the back pain that spreads rapidly through his entire frame. It passes quickly. But the problem is that it always strikes unexpectedly, often in the most inconvenient moments. At first, Optimus thought his pain receptors were malfunctioning, but Ratchet’s diagnostics revealed no abnormalities
Anxious sensations that sometimes arise when he’s up high (he died falling from a building)
He’s not afraid of heights, and more often than not he moves easily across rooftops or hooks his axe onto fleeing Decepticons mid-air. But every so often, especially when he’s too close to the edge, a tingling discomfort creeps up his back and his fuel tank feels as if it’s both burning and trying to digest itself.
Anxious sensations when flying after receiving the jetpack
Just like with tall buildings, he has no fear of heights. In fact, he genuinely enjoys flying. In the open sky, he feels free. But every now and then, without warning, a powerful sensation crashes into him — abrupt, dissonant, and impossible to predict
Chronic pain from the fall
Whenever he works too much or gets overly tired, his back aches terribly. He can’t stand or sit in any one position for too long. When he goes to sleep, he has to lie on his stomach — even his sides can't touch the berth. Sometimes, the pain makes it hard to carry out routine tasks or engage in basic physical exercises.
When the Detroit cold sets in, the pain barely lets up. His entire back, from the waist to the shoulders, throbs. Sometimes it’s even difficult for him to turn his neck or raise his arms. That’s why Ratchet always keeps 2–3 thermal blankets and fuel-sized heating pads on standby.
Panic and intense anxiety on every anniversary of his death, lasting the whole day
One morning, just like many others before it, he woke up shaking uncontrollably. His plating was soaked in condensation, and the moment he tried to get up from the berth, he retched. His fuel tank was clenched tightly, and a siren rang inside his helm — every fiber of him screamed danger.
It turned out the sirens weren’t just in his mind — the ones installed with his Earth alt-mode were blaring in real life. Ratchet rushed in first. Then the rest followed.
They helped Optimus to the medbay. Everyone was a bit shaken by his condition, but aside from a severe panic attack and extreme fuel deprivation, Ratchet found nothing else. No illness, no injury.
Optimus spent the entire day under the watch of his family. And the whole day, he trembled violently. He felt cold, numb in the limbs, and aching in the back. He barely consumed any energon — every moment felt like he might retch again.
It was only in the evening that Sari, having stumbled across a local Earth calendar, pieced it together. She told the others once Optimus finally fell asleep.

I don't think Orion from TFO was selfish, though, just reckless. But yeah, even in Skybound, even after becoming Orion became a Prime, at the beginning of his leadership, he was ruthless, vengeful, and selfish ("Decepticons are all evil and deserve death by default because I said so", is what I mean) And I'm also happy for someone else mentioning how Hot Rod was a really depressed bot in IDW! Usually, from what I've seen in media, he's potrayed as an enthusiastic bot from birth, which is still cool, ofc.
Tumblr media
This is not at all canon to any storyline but idc, anyways my hc for the matrix is that it amplifies it’s host’s missing attributes, it’s not a perfect fix as it really only depends on the user to find a balance.
Tumblr media
The matrix also give primes more turquoise optics for reasons.

Rumi's Father Theory
What if a long time ago, Rumi's father, still being a human, fell in love with Rumi's mother, but she was in love with someone else or just didn't see him this way? Thus, Gwi-Ma struck a deal with him: he will give the man power to make her fall in love with him if he will agree to become one of his demons? That way, he would had have become a demon long before they married and had Rumi.

I, too, imagine Starscream from TFOne as a sort of character similar to Scar from "The Lion King" or Hades from "Hercules"! Like, everyone knows him as this one constantly grumpy and slightly creepy guy, but in reality he's a treacherous schemer whose ego was hurt by his superior, and so vengeance is his main goal as well as ruling over everything and everyone.
How do you think Starscream will begin plotting a betrayal against Megatron in Transformers One? Share your ideas! :]
○ [TFO] "BETRAYAL" Starscream HCs
OHHHHH I HAVE A LOT OF IDEAS FOR THIS ONE. like A LOT OF PERSONAL HCS IM HAPPY TO SHARE. this is a general one, no x-reader involved!
Tumblr media
— Firstly, we would have to begin by explaining the dynamic between Megatron and Starscream in Transformers One.
— Now, as Megatron is much younger than Starscream in TFO and given Starscream has a lot of experience as Commander of the High Guard, I can imagine that Starscream plays a sort of mentor-role to Megatron which is something I actually like. Its a unique take on their relationship because it would make a lot more sense as to why Megatron would keep Starscream around.
— Starscream is not teaching him though, more like advising because Megatron's ego would not allow him to really consider Starscream as a teacher and Starscream wouldn't consider Megatron as a student either. Starscream is taking up this role of 'advisor' purely to keep his status in the newly formed Decepticon ranks.
— And despite everything, Starscream's advice and strategic skill on the battlefield is unparalleled even if he's somewhat cowardly because of this, I can definitely see why Megatron would make him his SIC.
— Starscream's betrayals would be subtle as well because in TFO, we learn how Starscream had command of the High Guard the entire time while Sentinel was off ruining Cybertron and Megatron accuses him of being a coward. Rather than fighting Sentinel head on, under Starscream, the High Guard would ambush and do hit-and-runs at best from what I understand.
— So I believe Starscream would do something similar to Megatron. Not really outright put himself into the spotlight and shoot Megatron but let's just say a stray shot from nowhere just so happens to conveniently hit an injured Megatron and hopefully critically damage him... Its a win-win for Starscream.
— Then if Megatron offlines, Starscream can take over since he's SIC and if by some stroke of luck or Soundwave's interference, Megatron does survive, Starscream wouldn't end up with his face against the barrel of his fusion cannon.
— Megatron would initially be unsuspecting of Starscream. Initially. But Megatron doesn't trust Starscream either. Considering Megatron has an ego, he knows that Starscream has an even bigger one and with the publicly humiliating beatdown Megatron gave him back when he was D-16, Megatron is entirely sure that Starscream wouldn't be able to move on from that.
— And he is right because Starscream, to his termination, will think of how he was humiliated by a miner bot who just got his T-Cog and seethe. The seeker will never get over it. So betraying Megatron to him is a little more than just personal, its vengeance.
— Another way I think Starscream would try to betray Megs is by giving his false advice which sometimes just so happens to lead Megatron into unfortunate predicaments. After all, Megatron, even though he doesn't like Starscream is technically reliant on Starscream because he has no experience with the military whatsoever.
— However, when Megatron does find out about Starscream's plots and schemes, he is obviously PISSED. But he refrains himself from outright terminating Starscream, Megatron would... let's just say, make an example out of him. After that, Soundwave would probably be kept as watch over Starscream and to verify Starscream's... 'advice'.
— He wouldn't outright murder Starscream only because Starscream, despite his cowardness and treachery, he is a respected amongst the Seekers. Starscream still has some influence within some of the old High Guard members, especially his Seekers and really, no one else can fly like he does so he is still a valuable asset to keep around for Megatron.
— One thing is for certain, this Starscream would be a lot more careful and plan accordingly. He's more of a scheming type and would definitely have more foresight than most iterations of Starscream. This one doesn't strike to me as someone who would take risks, TFO Starscream plays the long game.
— Only thing he approves about Megatron is his violence, other than that, Starscream thinks that Megatron is too emotionally charged and inexperienced to be a leader.
— To sum it up in Star Wars terms, their relationship is like Palpatine and Darth Vader except Vader is the Emperor and Palpatine is a bitch.
thank you for letting me rant abt this <3
