You. Yes you, the one scrolling through tumblr looking for distractions from the triviality of life. Need to put a pep in your step? A number to knock to? A melody for your mind? Look no further than:

THE TOON TUNES TOURNAMENT 2023

Bringing back the bops from your childhood is The Toon Tunes Tournament, a competition of the best songs animation has to offer! I'll be taking 12 predetermined songs to give an idea of what I'm looking for than you, yes you the viewer, will be able to submit 28 more jams. That's a total of 40 insert another synonym for song here golden oldies! Here's some general guidelines to get started:

-Any Animated Show: Whether rated TV-7 or 18, if it's animated and musically proficient, it has a chance!

-No Movie Songs/No Theme Songs: but goofy movie pfp I want to see what a show can do on regular budget, plus "Other Friends" or "Summer(Where do we begin)" would probably sweep the floor. As for no theme songs, there would just be too many.

-Must Be Sung By Relevant Character/No Montages/>1min: Please keep it main cast or spotlight singers! No "character turns on radio that plays over scene transition"! No less then 1min songs!

-Three Entries per Show: Some shows have gone on for long enough or have a musically gifted character that songs tend to keep getting sung. Great for them, but other one-offs should deserve a chance too! Limit 3 per Show!

I won't be opening submissions for awhile, so do think about what you'll choose! With that, let's get to the preselected songs!
