With the game having multiple layers and the three paths, is there any one path you ultimately support, and why? Or in some ultimate reality, is there a mix of paths or ideologies you support (like fuck the church 100% or the opposite, given everyone's reasons (especially rhea and edelgard))

i can get behind each and every one of the goals from each path. that said it really boils down to whether you want to rule fodlan through fear and force with the church of seiros and rhea, or if you want to rule fodlan without forcing ppl to follow a religion that can have them ultimately killed with edelgard.

i think anyone can get behind claude’s idea of ending racism so his route is almost universally accepted, and dmitri’s ideas are so similar to edelgards that the only main difference is that he just wants to end all of the crazier stuff the church has going on, rather than completely eliminate it.

personally, i still find it hard to go against rhea. even after seeing what happens when you don’t side with her after joining edelgard. at the end of the church route, if you S support her, she makes it clear that she’s no longer fit to rule the church and basically hands over the crown to you. at that point i figure you can run the church however you want. you can either do away with all of the extreme punishments, or continue with business as usual and force ppl to submit to your rule.

so yeah i’d probably say church route, mainly because you can do what you want with that kind of power, and its not just one ideology.

sure sure, but there’s no way to answer this without spoilers so read on at your own risk:

golden deer: lysithea (cavalry mage) skills wise she’d ideally be a player phase nuke. cavalry because horse emblem and im biased as all hell. she’d end up being a red mage because of how dark magic is classified.

black eagles: bernandetta (bow knight) probably some kind of solo skills to reflect the fact that she’s a shy little bean, she doesn’t have to have anything too special since i wouldnt mind investing on building her up.

blue lions: annette (general/axe armor knight) now this one is a stretch but we’re talking about -my- ideal banner and in my ideal banner annette is smol, swol, and ready to brawl as an armor knight. id like her res to be high to reflect the fact that she can be a magic user, but i wouldnt mind if she was 100% enemy phase with low speed and high defenses.

church: rhea/seiros (melee sword) im not a big fan of her crazy dragon form so i’ll go with the seiros look she rocks in the black eagles route. skills wise i’d like to see her as a high res melee unit who can make good use of built-in DC. having the seiros shield in there somewhere with its built in renewal would also be nice.

Welcome back! I gotta ask, what are your thoughts on Edelgard? The community seems really split on her, but I really love her as a character. Also, what was your favourite route?

i liked edelgard quite a bit, especially seeing her vulnerable side during her route. the other routes make it seem like shes on some kind of sick power trip and has lost her mind, but in reality shes just someone who knows what she wants and is willing to do whatever it takes to achieve those goals. she’s crumbling under the weight of it all on the inside, but she does her best to hide that fact. there’s a lot more i can get into since shes a very complex character, but yeah, i definitely liked her.

as for my favorite route, i have to go with the golden deer house. it was my first route and i had no idea what i was doing in terms of lesson plans, i didn’t recruit any students or professors, and finished the game with only half my units as master classes, but claude’s personality really stood out to me. even as i completed the other routes, i’ll always have a soft spot for the golden deer house. 

whenever i pick the game back up it will definitely be to do a hard mode run of golden deer again.

alright so i think i’ve reached a solution that works well for me. rather than stretching myself thin trying to maintain an active presence on 2 social media outlets i’m gonna stick with twitter and work around the character limit by using curious cat.

i get that its an extra step you have to go through, but given the fact that i only use tumlr as an ask box to begin with i think this is a reasonable solution, and i hope you’ll still reach out to me if you’re interested.

I am only partway through the Blue Lions as my 1st run and I am already thinking of later runs. What are your thoughts on the ability to make male dancers? Who are your favorites from a mechanical and/or flavor standpoint?

im all for anyone being a dancer. as far as my favorites, i have to go with dmitri after that one “cake” meme i saw which i haven’t been able to find the link to (if you know what meme i’m talking about please send a link). 

my #1 answer would definitely be claude, but i’m also here for seteth being a dancer if was somehow possible to make that work.

hello all, i’ve just finished clearing every route in three houses so i’ve decided to return so we can talk mainly about the new game. 

i’ve been out of the loop for a long time when it comes to heroes, so while i will be opening up the inbox again i’m no longer the best person to ask when it comes to questions about the feh meta so please keep that in mind. 

you can still ask me about heroes if you’d like, but i’d like to primarily focus on three houses if that’s cool with you.
