ARTISTS FOR PALESTINE 🇵🇸 - ROUND 3!! On the 26th April and 3rd of May, I'll be doing art requests on stream with other notable artists to raise money for Palestinian escape funds.

This round's roster is very lucky to include returning artists including webcomic artist Graveweaver (I'm The Grim Reaper), @wolfythewitch, Cuptoast, Denimcatfish and more.

If you won't be able to make it to the streams but would still like to donate money, you can find a spreadsheet with hundreds of escape funds listed here. Alternatively, you could donate to one of three funds that I am focusing a lot of my efforts on.

One of my close friends wildest 'Hear Me Out' is your Poseidon. Not the human Poseidon, the horse. I don't know how you managed to do it but, and I quote, "the horse reminded me of Spirit the horse".

1 DAY LEFT GUYS!! THE UNDERWORLD SAGA LET'S GOOOOO!!!!

True...😅 but almost all those adaptations (except for The Prince of Egypt!! I LOVE THE PRINCE OF EGYPT!!) have something in common: they're very Western-centric and, frankly, religious. And those are pretty boring and usually just follow the original story to the letter. Even if they are "faithful" to the original, they still give the "Patroclus is my cousin and best friend" treatment. Like all Joseph adaptations, I have yet to see one that acknowledges that Joseph was wearing a dress meant for a virgin princess and not a manly coat for men only. Or that Joseph was so freaking hot that both men and women were interested, but we only get to see women think he is cute. I mean even in the Quran gushes about that Joseph was like the most beautiful man in the world, in midrashes (ancient rabbi fanfics) in unison even said that Pothifar bought Joseph to have him as his "bedslave" cuz he was so hot. But these topics have never been touched at least aknowledge to exist in these film adaptations.

And for me they are all the same. And its boring. It play safe for an audience that don't like to be challenged or reimagined.

Not gonna lie, every time I say "Horseidon" out loud, it sounds like I'm saying "whore-seidon" and I can't tell if that's accurate or insulting to him

After reading almost every Bible fanfic out there and The Prince's Psalm (and currently reading "The Red Tent"), I still crave more retellings!

It actually surprises me how few retellings there are of the Bible. There's so much to explore: relationships, themes, and more. David and Jonathan. Ruth and Naomi. Daniel and Ashpenaz. Paul the Apostle being acesexual af. Jesus and his beloved. Heck, I would love a feminist retelling of Samson and Delilah. That couple gets too much hate from, well, quite frankly, from sexist people, even from the original story itself.
