A girl in my class was wearing an IBM t-shirt yesterday. It had a blue, green, and purple cloud symbol, with three little glowy lines coming off it. I thought it was the glow cloud. I thought it was Night Vale merch. I didn’t see the IBM Watson caption, and I went up to her. With a completely straight face, monotoned “ALL HAIL.” ShE JuSt STaREd At mE.

Introduction I guess!

Hi! I’m new to Tumblr. I have no idea what I’m doing! This is kind of an introduction I guess!

My name is Ruby, I’m female, and 14 years old. I’m straight, and support LGBTQIA rights wholeheartedly.

Now onto the important stuff! I’m a writer, both of fanfiction and original fiction, and a person who could hopefully be an artist at some point. 

As to the question of fandoms, I’m in the Harry Potter fandom, the PJO fandom, The Raven Cycle fandom,  the Sherlock Fandom, the Creepypasta fandom, the Welcome to Night Vale fandom, the Doctor Who fandom, and teetering precariously on the edge of the Marvel fandom. I also plan to have a Supernatural Marathon at some point, and become part of that fandom. 

I really don’t know what else to say. Um, I like cats. Have a good day?

Noah Czerny is Killing Me

Because in this entire series of beautiful tragic people, he takes the cake. I mean, a. He’s dead. But plenty of people are dead. He’s not special in that regard. The first thing is how it must have felt for him to meet Gansey. 

Because it’s canon that most people can’t see him.Excepting psychics and the occasional cursed giant farmer. And for the six years after his death, it’s unlikely that he would have run into any of these people. He would have been invisible, unknowable, and utterly, utterly alone. Unsure if he’s even real anymore, if this is his fault. Why, why Whelk killed him. Was he not good enough?

And then here comes this mess, this boat-shoe wearing mess, Richard Campbell Gansey III. And he can SEE him, and hear him, and he’s not alone. And then there are more of them. An Adam, and a Ronan, and eventually a Blue. And he’s not alone. That must have been earth shattering.

But it gets worse. Because guess what Gansey’s doing? He’s searching for the same thing that Whelk was, the very thing that led Noah’s best friend to slaughter him in cold blood. Does Noah panic? Leave the Gangsey, because any sane person would be terrified to embark on the same quest that previously killed them? No. He stays, and is happy, and positive, and a complete dork, and saves Ronan’s life, and is generally brilliant. He must have been terrified, and he was still brilliant. 

He’s rotting, and he’s feeling his consciousness decay, and he’s a teenager and no one believes him,and when they do, things barely get better. Sometimes it seems like his friends are forgetting him. Are they forgetting about him? Oh god, they were.

There are the moments when it’s like he’s alive again, but then he’s thrown back into his death, and why won’t it just stop?

He’s scared of leaving and staying is torture, and the middle is just indecision and Noah Czerny is without doubt the most tragic character in the Raven Cycle.
