Stick figure - “All for you”

I am continuing a series i started before, where I review songs that i really like. right now on the world on fire playlist is a song called “All for you”. I am doing this in alphabetical order, this isn’t a top 12 of world on fire.

Now for this I couldn’t find anything about what this is about. I am using multiple sources to give me ideas about the meaning of these lyrics. according to earmilk.com (the first link on the sources page) Scott Woodruff, the main vocalist and writer for this song, “doesn't attempt to go over the listeners head and delivers a heartfelt performance with minimal effort as he dwells on love, life and all the good things that come with it.” Focusing on that, he is straightforward about what this is about.

According to a combination of the lyrics Read and research done by me, “All for you” is about Scott telling his fans, family, and anyone else who supports him that he wouldn’t be here without them, and he will continue his career because of all of their support. 

I would rate this song a 7 out of 10. It has good lyrics that some call sort of mysterious, and they just kill the background music.

Without further ado, here are some of my favorite lyrics from the song. keep in mind that the lyrics are about five stanzas, so I might not write as much:

Stick Figure - Above the Storm

Ima start with reviewing my favorite album from stick figure: World on Fire. This album was named after a specific song in it with the same name. I will be reviewing these in alphabetical order, starting with above the storm.

according to wikipedia: “Stick Figure is an American reggae and dub band founded in 2006 and based in Southern California.” The band consists of guitarist and vocalist Scott Woodruff, keyboardist Kevin Bong, drummer Kevin Offitzer, bassist Tommy Suliman, and backup vocalist Jonny cosmic.

The song talks about how there is a storm, a great terror. The people in the storm aren’t us, but people we look down upon. We are spectators watching this catastrophe unfold from above. From above the storm.

The song has nice background music, with great rhythm, and catchy lyrics. i would give it four out of five stars.

No matter how much you try to improve something, one day it will die.

This lyric simulates what it is like to meditate

He is spreading love to people realizing their mission

My strange music tastes

Ah yes... When you think of music tastes, you think of the songs people listen to and come up with a personality. It’s like people think that music defines them, or makes them quirky. That aside, I like songs that are similar to the “Funk” genre. Bands such as Stickfigure (Reggae) and Pigeons playing pingpong (which is the funk genre). Maybe in the future i may review some of these songs...
