I understand that representation is important and im not tryna be like “oh no they all need to be white” but there are certian character i see with designs as non-white like so frequently that i feel bad when i dont see them like that

Examples that come to mind; milo and huxley, i dont see either as white but i dont see either as black either but i feel like if i say “oh i dont see huxley as black” someones gonna come for my knees

Obviously, headcanon what you wanna headcanon but let people have their own opinions, some of your skulls are so thick that as soon as someone says “lasko/david isnt #000000 white” and/or “huxley/milo arent black” you little freaky ass keyboard warriors come to defend YOUR headcanons like suddenly your erik and what you say is gospel

am I the only one lowkey sick of seeing men complain that more of the fandom content isn’t catered to them specifically? like not to be invalidating but all the titles say 4A for a reason, the fandom is going to draw in different people — including those who aren’t men.

sorry that you feel a bit invisible in this fandom, but try not being a man in a predominantly-male space. I guarantee you you’ll be fine seeing a little more diversity. (trans men likely understand this better, so this is less about y’all lol)

I hate how hard it is to find masc listeners. like every time i go to find a masculine listener design all i find are really feminine ones. like i get that people can design the characters however they want, but it's still a little frustrating when i spend what feels like an eternity searching through so many listener designs and coming up with only a small handful of masc/androgyneus ones while the rest are all fem

yall seriously don't get it...NOBODY IS HATING ON ROLEPLAY!!! I've seen maybe one person saying it's cringe and weird, but the rest of us dgaf. If it's fun for yall then great! Cringe culture is dead have your fun. But it's FLOODING the main tags. The main tags are basically unusable because of the amount of rp accounts posting and responding to anons. And it ain't only rp accounts misusing tags, pretty much every character tag you go to every other post isn't even about the character anymore. I feel like a lot of people are in this fandom when they don't even like the content, because there is a *lot* of complaining about how the plots are going or how the characters act or whatever else

Maybe I find it strange because I just don't consume media if I don't like the plots or characters even if I used to really like it? People of course have the right to express opinions and such but also, people seem to forget that they can just not watch it if they don't like how its progressing? Nobody is forcing you to stay in the fandom or forcing you to watch the videos lol

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR THE BALANCE AND PROJECT MERIDIAN I think Erik is really good at opening interesting plotlines and introducing interesting plot twists, but it feels like he never knows where to take them or how to conclude them. Most of the interesting plotlines he opens either go nowhere for huge amounts of time, or just stop abruptly.

I'm still waiting to see where Sweetheart's investigation of CloseKnit goes and it's been over a year since that was introduced. Carpe Deus just kind of went in circles forever before the plot finally started moving again. Blake's whole arc with sunshine felt interesting at first, then they were just in that basement for like a year with the plot progression suddenly cutting off and going in a totally unrelated direction when Blake almost randomly decided to feed himself to a Shade. Same with Project Meridian, all the twists and story advancements just stopped mattering when he slammed the book shut and said it was all a dream, and that the real plot was actually something completely different that he explained through exposition. It felt like he didn't know what to do with the possibilities he set up and he just dropped everything to be rid of it.

There's also a million loose threads out there just dangling. Some characters (mostly Shaw/Solaire characters) get involved in high-stakes plotlines and then just seemingly get amnesia about them and live life like nothing happened for months or even years. I don't want to sound like I'm trying to dictate how he should tell his own stories, but I wish he'd consult with other people sometimes.

Confession: I kind of lost interest in RA a while ago, and I feel oddly guilty about it? I've made so many friends through this fandom, some going all the way back to late 2020. It's those friends that keep me around, but I feel guilt at the fact that the audios just aren't hitting anymore. I don't know if the audios changed or if I changed, but I haven't been able to keep interest in anything since the Monarchal Summit ended. I just space out when I try to listen now.

I haven't mentioned this anywhere because I feel guilty, like I'm a traitor or a fake for hanging around fandom spaces even though I don't like the content anymore. I'm also so worried that the wrong person will see me talking bad about the audios and get mad at me, and end up getting a lot more people mad at me. Maybe I'm paranoid but sometimes this community makes me feel like people are constantly watching and ready to trash you if someone steps out of line or disagrees with them.

Sorry if this post was too long. It just feels weird. I just feel like I guilt all my online friendships around something I don't belong in anymore.

Look I love this fandom and I love yapping about all my audio boyfriend blorbos with the people here, but it's so weird when people try to completely associate themselves with a character. Like claiming to be THE fan blog certain boyfriend character or being THE account representing a certain listener. It's embarrassing shit and those people always seem to be getting into arguments with people constantly and somehow always involved in drama. It's weird. Jealously guarding your status as a "famous" fan of a niche youtuber is actually so embarrassing.
